"So what do you remember?" Grian asked as he rummaged through one of his chests, Mumbo seated as he rubbed his head. He was under the effect of the fantasy potion much longer than Grian was, the redstoner still trying to adjust to being himself again.

"Hugging you in the barge..then everything went black, and I woke up in your mansion as a monster." Mumbo recalled with a heavy sigh. Grian adjusted the glasses that rested on the bridge of his nose, he felt more comfortable wearing them. The hermit smiled as he found what he was looking for, pulling out a redstone block from the chest.

"How do you feel about this?" Grian said as he showed off the block, Mumbo wincing upon seeing the crimson glow. Despite being returned to normal, he seemed to maintain the hatred of the color red from when he was a beast.

"Even though we're back to normal, we're still effected from when we were in fairytales.." Grian said as he placed a hand on his chin, tucking the redstone block into his inventory, much to Mumbo's relief.

"So I'm still terrified by redstone?" Mumbo asked weakly, Grian nodding at his question. That caused the taller male to frown, but he didn't say anything else. The builder could tell that he was upset by the idea of being scared of one of his best skills, but there wasn't much Grian could do to help Mumbo.

"We need to go and snap the rest of the hermits out of their trance, but it's not going to be easy. Some of their stories are going to be harder to finish than others." Grian thought aloud as he paced back and forth, Mumbo standing and taking the builder's hand, trying to calm Grian's shaky nerves. He seems more protective now, the blonde hermit had thought.

"We need to figure out who's in what story, first. Then we'll figure out the ending and try and return everyone to normal." Mumbo mentioned as he pulled out a book and quill, handing it to Grian to allow the smaller hermit to scribble down the names that he knew.

"Alright..TFC and Wels are in the little mermaid. Scar, X, Bdubs, and Keralis are in the wizard of Oz. Tango, Zed, Beef, and Impulse are in the three billy goats.. Joe, Cub, False, and Etho are in Alice in wonderland.. And Iskall and Stress are stuck in Rapunzel. That's everyone I've seen.." Grian said as he quickly wrote the names neatly onto the pages, Mumbo frowning as he noticed that a few hermits were missing from the list.

"So that mean we don't know Cleo, Ren, Doc, and Jevin's story... and we don't know where they are.." Mumbo said with concern in his voice, wondering if his friends were okay.

"We'll find them, Mumbo." Grian said as he tried to comfort the worried male, the Redstoner slightly smiling at the builder that sat beside him.

"Right.. we should probably go looking for them before we waste anymore time." Mumbo said as he stood, helping the shorter male to his feet.

The redstoner and builder walked through the nether portal, neither had their elytras. Mumbo looked down at Grian, biting his lip as he thought to himself. The raven-haired male had always seen Grian as his best friend, but the recent events had started to confuse Mumbo.

He wasn't even sure if he was himself, he was wearing fancy clothes and he was afraid of redstone, Mumbo could feel himself confusing fantasy and reality, and the tall male wasn't sure which he preferred. The Redstoner shook his head, clearing his thoughts as he kept walking with Grian. He flinched when the builder took his hand, but Mumbo didn't say anything as they continued to walk.

"Alright, Stress and Iskall are in the shopping district, I feel like we should try and return them to normal first." Grian said while looking up to Mumbo, who was staring off into space. He snapped back into reality, looking down at Grian and nodding his head in agreement.

"R-right. That sounds like a good plan." Mumbo stuttered with a slight choke, the two approaching the shopping district portal. The Redstoner suddenly felt nervous. Grian had seen most of the hermits, but Mumbo still didn't know how the fantasy potion was effecting his friends.

"Are you alright?" Grian asked as he looked up at Mumbo, as if he knew the Redstoner was beginning to feel anxious. The man smiled and nodded, tightening is grip on the builder's hand. Grian didn't seem to mind, the two taking a step through the portal, fading away into the hermitcraft shopping district.

"Huzzah!" Mumbo could hear the familiar Swedish voice that belonged to Iskall, the Redstoner spotting Iskall riding a white stallion across the grassy shopping district. Grian frowned upon spotting them, as he lightly squeezed Mumbo's hand, beginning to pull the Redstoner towards the tower in the middle of the shopping district.

"So thee has't returned to duel, mere peasant." Iskall said in their regal voice, pulling out their sword and pointing it to Grian's neck. The Swede looked to the taller male beside the builder, their eyebrow raising as they studied Mumbo. The builder shook his head, stepping in front of the Redstoner and pulling out his own blade.

"I don't want to fight, Iskall, we just want to return you to normal." Grian said while gripping the handle of his weapon, Iskall laughing at the shorter male.

"Thou art an utter fool. I shall defeat thee with ease!" Iskall said as they swung their weapon, Grian using his blade to block the attack. Mumbo didn't have any items that could be helpful in the battle, the Redstoner taking a few steps back as he watched the two hermits battle one another.

It was clear Grian was struggling to keep up with the Swede's attacks, as the builder wasn't the best in PvP. Iskall's grin was wide as the blades of the two hermits clashed together once more, but this time the prince was ready for Grian's counter. The royal Swede kicked the shorter hermit's chest, causing him to stumble backwards.

Before Grian could react, Iskall raised their blade and cut through the builder's yellow sweater. The builder dropped his blade, looking at his arm that Iskall had cut. The pain was burning, beginning to numb as the crimson blood began to pour out of the deep wound. Grian's head began to spin at the sight of the blood, the small hermit wanted to vomit.

He was kicked once more, Grian's back slamming into one of the diamond trees. The blonde hermit couldn't catch his breath, he had been kicked twice in the lungs. Grian fell to the ground as he held his arm in pain, watching as Iskall approached.

"Release my love. I knoweth thee did capture h'r.." Iskall growled as they accused Grian of trapping Stress in the tower. The builder didn't move, the Swede's bloody sword held to his neck. When he didn't react, the prince only smiled, raising their blade to attack. Grian shut his eyes, preparing for the sword to be shoved through his chest.

He waited for the impact, but he only felt someone suddenly wrap their arms around him, shielding Grian from the attack. He felt like he was tackled, pushed away from the danger while being held. The builder opened his eyes looking up at the Redstoner that was protecting him.

Mumbo was on his knees, clutching Grian close to his chest. The builder's eyes went wide as he adjusted his glasses, making sure he was seeing correctly. The Redstoner slowly stood, the dumbfounded human in his arms.

Iskall took a step back in terror, the prince dropping their sword as they looked upon the monster in fear. Mumbo let out a low growl as he showed off his sharp fangs, the creature protectively holding Grian in his arms.

"M-Mumbo..?"

The beast didn't react to the sound of his name. He was only focused on protecting the small human in his arms. Grian looked in horror at the beast, Mumbo had suddenly reverted to his monstrous state. He had horns on his head and fur on his body, but his eyes weren't the pale blue of the hermits trapped in fairytales.

"You'll pay for hurting him."
