❝Doesn't Seem Like You At All❞

"Welcome back to another group session," Haeun spoke as she sat down in her own seat. "Why don't we start to the left of me with Youngchu? State three things about yourself; two being the truth, and one is the lie. We'll all talk about it and decide together which is the lie."

Youngchu nodded and turned back to the group. "I have a dog. Things will get better in my relationship. I really like tacos."

Yuta scoffed from his seat next to her. "Well, obviously it's the second one." He didn't even wait for anyone else to chime in because of how sure he was.

Youngchu shook her head. "I don't have a dog."

"It's called two truths and a lie," Yuta told her. "Not two lies and a truth."

"And that's exactly what I did." Youngchu crossed her arms and leaned against her chair. "The second one isn't a lie."

Yuta huffed before muttering under his breath, "Or are you just lying to yourself that it isn't?"

Youngchu opened her mouth, about to talk back, but quickly closed it. I'm not lying... she tried to convince herself. Though, there was a part of her that wasn't so sure.

"I don't sleep with a pillow, my favorite color is red, and One Ok Rock is my favorite band," Yuta stated his three.

The group thought the first one was so different that it had to be true. They also felt like Yuta would be someone to fit the color red, so they decided on One Ok Rock not being his favorite band.

"The second one was a lie. My favorite color is yellow," Yuta corrected.

"Yellow?" Taeyong let out a short laugh. "Doesn't seem like you at all."

Next was Doyoung. "I used to be in a band, I can play the flute, and I love cucumbers."

Automatically, the group was suspicious of the first one, but Jaehyun remembered during his freshman year when Doyoung played bass in a band he made with a group of friends at the time. He also remembered that Doyoung would play flute in the school's band. They could then conclude that the third was wrong.

Doyoung nodded. "I hate cucumbers."

Yuri sat up and cracked her knuckles before starting. "I've crashed two weddings and only been kicked out of one, I wore the same sweatshirt through elementary and middle school, and I've entered a professional eating contest. Haechan, you're not allowed to speak."

Haechan only rolled his eyes.

"Those all sound really out there," Jaehyun commented. "I want to say the wedding thing, but I wouldn't put that passed you."

All together, they came to the decision on the lie being the sweatshirt. Yuri shook her head when they answered.

"I've never been in a professional eating contest. As much as I love food, I can't eat a whole lot at once."

As the game continued around the circle, the group learned a couple interesting facts from Haechan.

"The lie has to be that you knit," Yuta declared. "I don't think we even need to discuss it. Why would you, of all people, knit?"

"It's the truth," Haechan confirmed with a smug face and a shrug.

"He knit a pair of mittens for me once that said 'fuck you'," Yuri added. The group burst into laughter.

The lie turned out to be his statement 'everything has to be odd'. Haechan then admitted his OCD for even numbers.

A couple more people went on through before it was Sashimi's turn. She sat up a bit more in her chair before starting. "Firstly, I'm not ticklish. I've gotten into detention. I've never kissed or dated."

"The second one," Taeyong spoke up from her right. "I feel like you said that as a curveball."

Sashimi shrugged, not wanting to give anything away. The others followed Taeyong's statement.

Shaking her head, Sashimi told them, "The lie is that I'm not ticklish. I really am."

Next was Jaein. "I like running away, I love cuddles, and I never wanted to come to Korea in the first place."

The surrounding people were a bit thrown off by her three statements, unsure of which to choose for her lie.

"Well, we can mark off the first one because she already told us that," Yuta told them.

In the end, they decided to try and guess that she doesn't actually love cuddles. However, Jaein shook her head. They then said it had to be the third, but once against Jaein told them they were wrong.

"The thing is," Jaein spoke softly, "I've chosen to think I like running away because of the life I live, but that doesn't mean that I actually enjoy doing it. I just really want to go back home."

"I am s-sure you'll make it home again," WinWin reassured her in a quiet voice from his seat next to her. He gave Jaein a small yet hopeful smile that Jaein eventually returned. WinWin then leaned back in his seat to say his three. "I do tr-tradition Chinese dance, I love s-... snow, and I went to a private school." WinWin sighed in relief that he pushed through his sentence. Because of his stutter and fear to say most things out loud, it could be hard to say long statements.

After a short discussion, they believed WinWin didn't really love the snow. However, they were wrong.

"I love snow," he told them. "I never went t-to private school. Only home."

The rounds continued to make their way to Junhyun. "I have no siblings, I like the summer, and my parents divorced when I was five."

The group guessed correctly and revealed that Junhyun really didn't like the summer.

"Yeah, I don't like summer. I enjoy the cold." She turned to her left to see Jiyeon, indicating it was her turn.

"I can play the violin, I hate math, and I hate sports."

People saw Jiyeon as more of a smart person by the way she looks and acts. Especially Haechan, who called that out first. Taking in these clues, they wanted to guess that the second was false.

Jiyeon shook her head. "I really do hate math, but I do enjoy sports. So, the third was my lie."

This brought the circle to the last person in the group: Shin-Hye. "Alright... One, dogs scare me. Two, I love alpacas. Three, my dad's gambling is what ended my parent's marriage."

Most thought that all of them seemed believable. A couple thought for sure the third was true because of it being specific. Also, her emphasis on 'love' for alpacas seemed convincing. Therefore, they agreed with the first being a lie.

"Right," Shin-Hye confirmed. "I really love dogs."

Haeun nodded her head with a smile. "Thank you, everyone, for participating. I sent out chores this morning in the group text so I hope to see those completed today. There isn't much since yesterday was most of the cleaning. You're free to spend your day how you would like to."
