At least that's what Otto Hightower believed if he and his daughter were to ever take the throne from Rhaenyra Targaryen.The hand of the King began scheming and whispering into the ear of Prince Devran Martell early on. He knew it would take a fair amount to get the Prince of Dorne to agree to the betrothal between the princess of dorne and prince aegon.While King Viserys would be quite easy to convince since hastily turning down Otto's proposal of a betrothal between Rhaenyra and Aegon. It had taken Otto longer than he liked to get Prince Devran to agree to a betrothal, but once the stubborn yet fair man had it only took a few whispers into King Viserys ear and some words from Queen Alicent before the old King agreed to the betrothal of his son of age three to the young Dornish princess of age five. The wedding between the two would not take place for many years but, Princess Nira would sail to Kings Landing at the age of twelve to not only prepare herself for the changes she would face once wed to Prince Aegon, but also to make the Red Keep her new home.
