Hasana entered the hospital room and sat down quietly on a chair. She stare at her daughter sleeping on the bed. She looks so stressed despite the fact she is fast asleep. Her precious daughter looks so disturbed.

Life has really taught her a lot of things. Indeed the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know. It is better to deal with someone you already know, even if you do not like them, than to deal with someone that you know nothing about, because they may be even worse. Hassana has always believed Adama was the only one that had her back amongst her sisters. She never knew she was the one behind all her problems. Even if she hates her so much, does she really have to include their children in all those nonsense?

Adama has proven to her that even if they share the same blood, that doesn't mean she considers her family. Her children are so unlucky to have someone like her as their mother. Adama cannot even be called a mother. What kind of mother destroys her children? What kind of mother invites trouble for her own children?

Hassana still can't remember where she went wrong with Adama. She has always loved her like every sister will love their sister. So what exactly did she do wrong?

"Mum" Ruqayyah called, softly. Although Hassana was staring at her, she didn't know her daughter was awake until she called her.

"My baby" Hassana suddenly remembered everything that happened today. She tried to blink back her tears, knowing she shouldn't be crying in front of her daughter. "Are you okay?" Hassana asked. She needs to know if her daughter is fine or not, but how does she expect her to be fine with everything happening in her life?

"I am okay" She said, more like assuring herself she is okay.

"I am sorry, Ruqayya. Please forgive your mother" Hassana doesn't know why she is apologizing, but she feels like everything that happened is partially her fault.

"Please help me, I want to sit up" Ruqayyah said to her mother who nodded and helped her.

"Do you want water?" Hassana asked to which she nodded. She is feeling lots of pain and she feels weak too.

Hassana helped her daughter sip water from the cup and kept it on the table after she was done. She is aware Ruqayya won't be able to eat anything because of the operation. She gave birth through c-section. Normally patients who give birth through c-section do not eat immediately.

"Are you okay? Should I call the doctor?" Hassana noticed Ruqayya is in pain. She has been frowning her face since she woke up.

"I am fine" She replied.

"Are you sure?" She asked to which she nodded.
Hassana was not convinced she is okay but she let it go. "What about Hamida? What is going to happen?" Hassana didn't expect Ruqayya to ask her that question, at least not now. She still cares about Hamida despite everything she did to her.

"You need to rest. We will figure it out later" She doesn't want Ruqayya to stress herself on that matter. She wants her to forget about it until she heals properly. Ruqayya nodded, seeing her mother doesn't want to talk about that issue for now.

"I have to inform the doctor you are awake" Hassana remembered she is suppose to inform the doctor Ruqayya is awake just incase if there is any problem. She walked to the door, but the doctor opened the door and walked inside before she did.

"I was about to come and call you" She said to the doctor.

"It is fine, I am here now. I sensed she will be awake so I came to check" The doctor explained to Hassan. "Hello there, Ruqayya. How are you feeling?" The doctor asked, examining her.

"I am fine. I am just having some pain" She replied.

"It is normal to feel pain after a c-section, but you will be fine. You just need to take your medications seriously and you will be perfectly fine Insha Allah" The doctor explained to her.

"I will make sure she take her medications" Hassana assured the doctor.

"Alright I will come and check up on her later" The doctor notice Hassana and Ruqayya don't want to talk about the baby so she intentionally didn't say anything about the baby. She is aware Ruqayyah got pregnant in the wrong way. She left the room, leaving only Ruqayya and her mum in the room.

"How is the baby?" Ruqayya asked her mother, knowing she has to ask sooner or later. She can't avoid that topic for long.

"The baby is fine, but let us focus on you for now. We need to make sure you are back on your feet, okay?"

"Why is the baby not in the cradle?" Ruqayya questioned, ignoring what her mother said. The doctor didn't say anything about the baby and her mum doesn't want to talk about it either. She wants to know if the baby is okay or not.

"Your baby is fine, but she has to stay in the neonatal intensive care unit(NICU) because she was born premature. You had panic attack which resulted in premature labor" Hassana explained to her daughter the same way the doctor explained to her. "Do you understand?"

Ruqayya nodded indicating she understands everything her mother said. Why does her life has to be so chaotic?

"She will be fine" Hassana assured her daughter with a smile on her face. For now, she wants to take care of Ruqayyah until she is properly healed then she can focus on the baby after that.

Ruqayya prayed silently for her daughter. She feels attached to her despite the fact she hasn't hold or know what she looks like, but she doesn't care. She just wants her daughter to be fine.

Habiba opened the door and walked inside the room, interrupting their thought. Habiba asked the doctor if Ruqayyah was awake and she told her she is awake. She asked her father if he wants to come in with her, but he declined saying this is not the right time to see her.

"Ruqayyah! How are you?" Habiba quickly walked near her bed and hugged her carefully. "Are you okay?" She asked, examining her body with her eyes.

"I am fine" Ruqayyah's reply was curt. She doesn't know why Habiba suddenly looks happy seeing her. Do not get her wrong, Habiba has never been a fan of Ruqayyah so what changed?

"Are you sure?" Habiba questioned. She knows Ruqayya looks surprised with the way she is suddenly concerned about her, but she promised to look out for her sister. She needs to mend their relationship. She needs to start being Ruqayyah's big sis.

"Ruqayyah is fine" Hassana replied her this time around to which she nodded.

"I know I haven't been a good sister to you. I know I have really messed up, but what happened today really opened my eyes to reality. I realized I need to fix our relationship. I really care about you, but I am not good with showing it. Please can you forgive me? I want us to start acting like real sisters. Please forgive me!" Habiba apologized to Ruqayyah knowing she has done and said lots of things to Ruqayya which she wasn't supposed to do or say.

"You never offended me, Ya Habi. We don't just vibe together, but you never offended me. I will like to ask for your forgiveness too because I haven't been a nice sister as well"

"It is okay, Ruqayyah. I just want us to be like normal sisters. I want us to have fun and take care of my little niece together"

"Insha Allah" Ruqayya replied her with a genuine smile on her face.

Hassana had a smile on her face, staring at her children. All she wants to do in life is focus on her two daughters and granddaughter. Those three are her only priority for now, but for her to be able to take care of them like she wants, she will have to leave her marriage. For the sake of her own peace of mind, she will have to walk out of that marriage. She has tried her best to make things work between her and Omar, but he isn't willing to do the same. She doesn't know how her daughters will react to it, but she has made her decision and nothing will make her change it.

As for Hamida, Hassana doesn't care whatever happens to her. As far as she is concerned, Hamida is no longer her daughter. She has only two daughters which are Habiba and Ruqayya. She knows it won't be easy to forget about Hamida just like that, but she will try her best to forget her for the sake of Habiba and Ruqayya's happiness.
