Chapter Seven

Story: Broken But Brave
Chapter Seven: One of His Treasure

Just as Ginny Weasley's friends arrived at her house, another person was released out of his 'home' of five years.

Amelia Bones succeeded Dolores Umbridge to the position of the Minister for Magic. The latter lost by a no confidence motion passed in the Wizengamot and immediate elections were held which resulted in Madam Bones' victory. She was suggested by Auror Ronald Weasley, Head of Muggle Artifacts, Arthur Weasley and DMLE worker, Hermione Granger-Weasley. As a result of this, Hermione Granger-Weasley was promoted as the Head of DMLE and Ronald Weasley was asked if he wanted to become the Head Auror, replacing John Dawlish. The latter accepted temporarily saying that there were other capable and deserving Aurors who deserved the position and that he would happily step down to give them that.

As soon as the duo attained their respective positions, they started working hard. Hermione conducted trails for the 'criminals' who were thrown into Azkaban in the previous five years. As a result of this, Harry James Potter was released after being declared innocent by the now 'clean' Wizengamot which consisted of honest members. The corrupt members who had roots in the dark arts were arrested by Head Auror Weasley and were replaced with the honest officials. However, Harry politely declined a seat for him in the council.

After an hour, Harry Potter was finally sent home to The Burrow. To say that he was delighted was an understatement. Pale with joy, Mrs Weasley hugged him fiercely almost choking him to death. He received the same treatment from his best friends (including Ron and Neville).

Harry Potter now sat in the kitchen of The Burrow. Several plates, piled full with various dishes laid out in front of the now clean looking 25 year old.

"Mrs Weasley, I am already ful-"

"Nonsense. I am not having any of that. I have made treacle tart for you and you must have it!" Molly ordered. Harry gulped causing the other Weasleys to laugh. The Weasley family were gathered in the kitchen, the only exception being the one person Harry wanted to desperately see.

"Molly, give Harry some rest. Poor boy has just returned from Azkaban. You know how bad and sickly that place is," Arthur Weasley, the Weasley patriarch said. Molly harrumphed but let it pass.

"Harry dear, you will have dinner right?" she asked. Harry nodded vigorously but with a small smile. He stood up and hugged the Weasley matriarch, surprising the others. He was never the one to initiate hugs.

"Thank you, Mrs Weasley," Harry said, his eyes moist. Molly shook her head and patted his back. When Harry backed away, he looked up at the ceiling. Molly gave him an apologetic smile.

"She does not live here, dear."

"What? Why?" Harry asked.

Hermione took a deep breath and replied instead of the guilty looking matriarch. "She wanted to live in muggle London."

"Muggle London? Can you...err...can you tell me her address?" Harry asked, slowly, aware of the fact that about a dozen pair of eyes were on him. Several looked down at this request and Harry began to wonder why. "What?"

"No one knows, mate," Ron said, bluntly. Harry stood simply.

"What do you mean by that, Ron?! She's your sister!" Harry demanded.

"Well, yes, Harry but apparently she has restricted us from visiting her," Hermione answered instead of her husband.

"Is she okay? Do-don't tell me that she's - she's," Harry stuttered, unable to complete the sentence as he slumped onto a chair. Molly immediately shooed everyone besides Arthur, Ron and Hermione.

"Harry, we need to talk," Arthur said.

"Please tell me if Ginny is okay. I won't talk until you assure me that she is fine!" Harry shouted. Hermione quickly cast a silencing charm at the sitting room.

"She is fine, mate. Calm down. She just visited us last Christmas for the Burrow party-" Ron started but was interrupted.

"Last Christmas?! It's the 30th of October, Ron! Almost a year!" Harry shouted.

"Shush, Harry! Let us talk!" Hermione ordered but he wasn't the one to shut up.

"Harry, hold on. Ginny took the decision of living on her own to avoid the prying eyes of the Ministry as well as the media after the news of your forced divorce came out. Ever since, she has been living in a muggle flat, presumably. She visits us occasionally and sends us letters once a month to tell us that she's okay," Arthur said. Harry nodded, though unconvinced.

"Is there a way I can see her?" Harry pleaded.

"Through photos mate," Ron joked, earning him a slap on the head from Hermione.

"I did invite her, Harry but she did not respond. . . If you want, I will ask her to stop by a nice café and make her believe that I-" Hermione started but was cut off by Harry.

"No, Hermione. I do not want to trick her into a situation. I-I will just retire to umm..." Harry stuttered. Truthfully, he had no place to go now. Sure, he received a lot of compensation for his wrong imprisonment but he needed a place to think about everything.

"Harry dear," Mrs Weasley's motherly voice broke Harry out of his reverie. "You can stay here for as long as you like," she said with a gentle smile.

"Yes, Harry. Burrow is always open for you," Mr Weasley said. Harry nodded lowly.

"Mate, we can bunk a room together if you'd like. Else, you can come over to our place. It is big enough for us and Rose," Ron said.

"Rose?" Harry questioned his best friend.

"Err, we must have forgotten. Rose is our daughter," Ron said, pointing his hand at himself and Hermione who smiled and nodded. "She's a year old."

This news brought a wide grin on Harry's face. "Brilliant! Congratulations you two!" Harry exclaimed. The elder Weasleys smiled as the trio group-hugged.

The following day, a man in black hood walked down the bubbly early morning streets of The Diagon Alley, a famous Wizarding street. He looked around and then stepped his foot on the steps of a huge, white marble building. This building was no unfamiliar one. He had, in fact, broken into the very same building, about eight years ago.

Funny how fast time is when you don't want it to run, he chuckled as he thought that. He walked into the building, letting his magical aura surround him as several heads turned. A few even pointed their hands at him. He snorted and walked over to the main counter.

"Harry Potter. I wish no harm, Master Ragnok. I wish to know the status of my wealth," Harry said in the tone that he once used for auror interrogations. The goblin behind the desk peered at Harry through his glasses and nodded.

"Follow me, Mr Potter," saying so, the goblin led Harry into a private room. The room contained two lavish looking chairs and one arm chair behind a mahogany desk. A chandelier hung above their heads. Harry walked, as confidently as he could, to one of the chairs and sat down. The goblin sat down on the other side of the desk and snapped it's fingers. A peach coloured file materialized into thin air in front of Harry and lightly fell on the table. He took it and began to read through it.

A small smile crossed his lips as he read through all the funds that his ex-wife had invested in, using their money. That was very intelligent to help werewolves and St. Mungo's patients by contributing the much needed money.

He closed the file and with a hidden smile, stood up. "Thank you, Master Ragnok. I wish to keep this file, if you don't mind," the goblin in question shook his head.

"Go ahead, Mr Potter."

"May your wealth flow forever," Harry said and bowed.

"May you be reunited with your loved one," Ragnok said and bowed back. With that, Harry left the goblin bank, never to step foot in it for perhaps a very long time. The peach coloured file, with about ten signatures of Ginny, was neatly tucked under his arm. That would be one of his treasured valuables for now until he met his most treasured person.

Did you guys like this chapter? It was a bit lighter than the before ones so I really hope it was good.

I just checked the internet and found out that Amelia Bones was killed by Voldemort. My bad, I didn't look it up before but she was crucial to Harry's release so. . . Just assume she wasn't killed by Voldemort.

Thank you for reading!
