Darryl POV

And he wasn't there.

He wasn't in the room.

There was no trace of him being there except for one thing.

The window was open.

I ran out of his room and towards Vincent. "Vincent Zak's gone!" I yelled.

He turned to look at me, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, he's gone. The windows open." I said.

Vincent stood up, "Do you think he ran away?"

"Most likely." I said.

He cursed under his breath. I got up and ran out the door, followed by Vincent.

Zak POV

Just try to have a different approach.

Don't try near other people, try it alone.

Alone where no one can save you this time.

The highest building I could find.

I don't know exactly why I'm doing this.

But it's one of those days.

The days where you don't want to exist anymore.

All the memories come flooding back.

So you stand at the edge and take one step.

Then you're falling.

So that's what I did.

I stood at the edge of the building. Ready to jump. No one can stop me this time. No one will find me this time.

Just one step forward.

I took a deep breath.

And I took the step.
