Darryl POV

I decided that I would go talk to Zak, alone. I figured that if I went in there with Vincent he would get mad. I walked up to his door but hesitated. I remembered the look he gave me. He will probably just kick me out again.

I was about to turn to leave but I heard him walking in his room. A bad feeling settled in the pit of my stomach. I decided to go in there. I opened the door and saw Zak sitting on his bed, with a blade in his hand.

"Oh my goodness, what are you doing?" I yelled.

I stomped toward him and snatched the blade from his hand. "Where did you get this?" I asked.

"You left it in my room." He said, quietly. I mentally face palmed, how could I leave it in his room at a time like this?

While I was lost in thought I noticed at the last second that Zak was reaching for the blade. I pulled my hand away and he jumped at my sudden movement. "Just give me it." He said.

I looked at him, shocked, "Why would I do that?"

"Because you want me to cut, right?"

I messed up. Of course he's going to think that. Who knows what else he's thinking about? We need to keep a close eye on him.

I sat down next to him. I noticed he was shaking. I reached to put on hand on his shoulder and he jumped back instantly. "Hey, it's okay." I said quickly, I didn't want him to get scared.

"Can I ask you a question?" I asked him. He shrugged so I continued. "What happened in your house?"

He didn't answer.

"What made you do this?" I pointed at the cuts on his arms.

"That's my business." He replied, looking down.

I sighed softly and got up. Why won't he open up to me?

"Well I'm gonna make dinner, okay?" I said.

He nodded, so I grabbed the blade and walked out.

As made my way to the kitchen I thought about what he was about to do. What would he have done if I hadn't walked in? I don't wanna think about that.

"So how'd it go?"

I turned and saw Vincent. "Not good." I replied. Then I turned and began to make dinner.

Zak POV

I'm freaking out.

He took my blade, that was my only coping mechanism.

My mind is racing. I pulled out my phone and dialed someone's number.

Ahhhhhh okay, in about a week WE REACHED 1K READSSSS

It's perfect because we hit it on the 14th chapter 😂
