Darryl POV

I've been driving around for almost an hours, there's no sign of him. I'm getting really worried. Have I gone too far? I'm such an idiot.

I went to every place that Zak could possibly be.

The skate park, Zelk's house, even his dads house. Then I checked my house. Maybe he had went back there?

He was no where to be seen. Then I remembered one place I didn't check.

The building.

The building from the day that Dave saved Zak. The day Zak tried to kill himself. Dave told me which building Zak had been on, just in case.

I drove there was fast as I could and ran to the roof. There I saw a figure on the floor. Zak.

I ran over to him and heard muffled sobs. I crouched down next to him. He was sobbing with his hands over his face. He didn't seem to notice I was there.

What should I do?

I gently placed my hand on Zak's back, causing him to yell and jump back. He scrambled backwards as far as he could from me. "Zak, it's just me." I said,

As soon as he heard my voice he stood up. "What are you doing here?" He asked,

"I was looking for you." I said.

"Why would you look for me?" He asked, "Aren't I crazy?"

"No you're not crazy, if anything, I'm the crazy one. I assumed things too quickly. I'm sorry." I said, "But I have one question."

"What?"

"What did Dr. Owen do to make you upset?" I asked.

He sat down and wiped some of the tears off of his face. "Come here." He said.

I sat down next to him, "I want to trust you, I really do. I'm always so close to telling you something then I stop myself at the last minute. There's been so many times where you've hurt me, I don't know if I should trust you. Or maybe you're just like everybody else. You want to earn my trust just so you can stab me in the back."

I looked him in the eyes, "I know I've messed up, but I swear you can trust me. I would never do anything to hurt you. I'm sorry about everything, I've made mistakes but I want to make up for it."

"So I can trust you?" He asked me with uncertainty in his eyes.

"Yeah, you can always trust me." I replied.

Zak giggles and stuck out his pinkie, "Pinkie promise?"

I laughed and wrapped my pinkie around his, "Pinkie promise."

Zak smirked and pulled his arm back, "Well in that case, I guess you're gonna be the first person I tell the whole story to."

"Are you sure?" I asked once more.

"I'm sure." He replied.

"It all started on January 17..."
