Sonic's P.O.V.
"So what did you want to tell us?" I said as I sat on the couch, my eyes closed and my arms folded.

I heard Amy giggle in excitement and Scourge chuckle, then everything went silent. I opened my eyes to see what made everyone stay quiet.

Amy was smiling brightly hugging Scourge's right arm, showing us the ring she was wearing, it was gold with white and red crystals around it. I immediately understood what that meant and dropped my ears.

How long was she cheating on me?

"How long have you been together?" Rouge folded her arms and raised a brow, she knew about me and her, everyone knew, Amy couldn't keep her mouth shut and told the whole gang.

Amy smiled sheepishly and realized she made a mistake then scratched the back of her head. "That doesn't matter now, does it...?"

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "It does, a lot." Rouge and Tails nodded agreeing with me. Amy sighed and let go of Scourge then looked at me with guilt, I was looking at her with no emotion, only hatred for Scourge and his stupid addiction to cigarettes, how can she stand the smell? She was literally screaming at me when I put on a perfume she didn't like.

After a few minutes of silence, Amy left the house, dragging Scourge behind her. I sighed and shook my head. "She made a horrible mistake." 

Tails looked at me. "How could you stand her for a year? You couldn't stand a second back when you were fighting Eggman." He pointed out and sat next to me.

I sighed again and groaned. "I have no idea." I mumbled and made Tails chuckle. "How are things with Eggface?" I changed the subject.

Tails shrugged. "The same. He keeps looking for you and orders his robots to find you, but we stop them. We know you don't want to fight anymore." He said with a hind of sadness in his voice as he finished the last sentence.

I lowered my ears and sighed once again. "I'm sorry buddy, I'm not like that anymore..." I said and avoided any eye contact with him. 

Tails shook his head and patted my back. "It's okay Sonic, we understand." He smiled softly at me. I smiled back and started a conversation with Rouge and Knuckles.

Things have changed a lot from the last time I've seen my friends. Rouge is still working at G.U.N. and refused to change partner, so now she works alone, even though she still has Omega, but she says that he only helps with the missions, the really dangerous and important missions. I felt sorry for her, I was about to offer to help her, but she had just said that she refuses any offer of a new partner, so I quickly shut my mouth.

After a few long hours, it was finally time for me to go home. I'll have to admit, the party was fun. I didn't get as bored as I thought I was going to be, it was nice meeting my friends again.

I looked at the time and stood up from the couch then looked at Tails. "Thanks for the party buddy, I'm going home." I hugged him and took my gifts then started walking to the front door, but Rouge blocked my path and smiled brightly, I remember her being depressed when they told her that Shadow won't come back, I guess she's gotten over it.

"Not yet, hun, I haven't given you your birthday present." She said as she smiled at me. I raised a brow and slowly nodded. 

"Okay..? Where is it?" I asked and tried to walk past her, but she kept moving so I couldn't reach the door, I stopped after a while and sighed in defeat.

"So?" I asked and looked at her, thinking about my sweet bed that was waiting for me at home. Rouge grabbed his hand and opened the front door then flew to a direction that I didn't recognize at first. I almost fell when she did that but managed to regain my balance and stopped her. 

"Where are we going? I need to leave my stuff first." I said after she looked at me confused. She chuckled softly and nodded.

"Fine, I'll stay here, go leave your stuff." She pulled out her phone and started messaging someone. I looked around and understood where I was then dashed to my house and left my stuff, I dashed back to Rouge to see her smirking as she looked at the phone, I cleaned my throat and tried to look at her phone.

"Who are you texting?" I asked curiously and tried to see who she was talking to. Rouge quickly put the phone away and shook her head.

"You'll see." She smirked at me, leaving me speechless. 

"W-were you the one texting me..?" I said shocked and annoyed, why would she do such thing? Rouge laughed and shook her head.

"No hun, someone else was, now come on, if you want to meet him that is." She started walking away. I was left with my eyes wide open, she knew the guy, so it wasn't Scourge, which means I got mad at him for no reason, but how did I not see him, or at least hear him? 

I shook my head to get rid of all the questions and looked around, I saw Rouge almost disappearing in the woods. I quickly dashed to her and stayed quiet as I looked around, after a few minutes of silence I decided to break it. 

"Who was texting me all this time?" I asked her and raised a brow at her. She looked at me and smirked.

"You'll see."
