Sonic's P.O.V.
It's been five years. Five amazing years with Shadow. No one has been bothering us, not Amy, not Scourge, not Eggman or his robots.

It turns out Shadow and Mephiles are close or even best friends, they are working together at GUN, Rouge as well. The three together make an awesome team, they always complete their missions flawlessly.

I've officially moved in with him, we were both happy to see each other every morning when we wake up.

Shadow hasn't proposed yet, but I don't mind, all I care about is to have him by my side and show him how much he means to me.

Shadow's cut has healed, but it was still visible, he feels better about it now, he says he doesn't care about it, that it's something to remind him how much he's gone through and lived.

Everything in my life is perfect, but something has been bothering me the past few days, I keep finding the window from the bedroom open every time I wake up, I've asked Shadow if he's the one opening it but he says that he doesn't know what I'm talking about. I believe him, I mean, why would he lie for something like that?

Not only that, but I've also noticed that the door to Shadow's office is also open when I wake up. I've told Shadow about it and he tries to lock everything, but I still find the door and the window open.

I've started feeling like someone's watching me and it creeps me out, I've told Shadow about it and he feels the same. We stopped kissing and cuddling as much because of this strange feeling. We've tried looking for a camera, but nothing.

The thought that something watches me while I sleep keeps me awake at night, I've even slept on the couch for a week because I couldn't stand it.

We were in the house, watching a movie as we cuddled on the couch, this weird feeling not leaving me alone, when I heard a quiet knock on the window from the bedroom, I looked at Shadow who also had heard it, he looked at me telling me to stay there as he stood up.

I dropped my ears not so sure about it and waited for Shadow to walk a few steps the followed him, there was no way I'll leave him alone when something could be watching us, it would be dangerous for the both of us.

I ignored Shadow's glare when he saw me and signaled him to open the door. He knew that I wouldn't give in so he slowly opened the door.

I looked inside as I held my breath, trying to pick up any noise or movement, but it was dead silent.

A shiver ran down my spine as I heard something fall in the room, there was no way it was the wind, the window is... Open...

Before we could react, Metal attacked us and separated us, I was inside the room while Shadow was outside trying to get to me.

"Sonic!" Shadow dashed to me but Metal pinned him down and hit him behind his head.

I growled furiously at what Metal did and attacked him, trying to hit his sensitive spots, but nothing happened. I dropped my ears when I saw Metal getting stronger every time I attacked him.

"S-Sonic...!" Shadow tried to reach for me but Metal spin dashed him and knocked him out.

"No!! Shadow!!" I yelled and dashed to him, which was a huge mistake, since I let my guard down and made it easy for him to attack me.

I got hit from behind and pushed to the wall, he kicked me and punched me, to the points that I couldn't move anymore.

I fell on the floor and panted heavily as I coughed up blood, I saw Shadow getting picked up by Metal and him dashing away.

"Shadow!! NO!!"
