Arthur sighed when he woke up the next morning.
Allistor walked in and handed turned on the tv. On the news was Allen's face.
"Local student Allen Jones was found dead this morning by a hiker. If anyone has any information on this please call the hotline below," the news caster said.
Arthur sat there in shock, "I had nothing to do with that!!!" He said as he wrapped his arms around himself.
Allistor nodded, "I know lad. But there are others who have been murdered. All of them were with you at one point. And this came in for you," he said as he handed Arthur an envelope.
Arthur opened it and read it out loud, "Arthur Kirkland, you have been chosen to show a new student around. Her name is Alexandrea and I expect you to treat her well, signed Principal Zeed."
Allistor smiled, "take this as a chance to make a friend ok?"
Arthur sighed and nodded. He quickly got dressed and ate breakfast. Outside were the three people he could consider friends, Alfred Jones, Matthew Williams, and Francis Bonnefoy. He smiled softly and waved to them as they all began walking. Arthur looked at Francis, "Doesn't your sister start school today?"
"Oiu, Brie is excited to meet everyone," Francis says smiling. Brie and Francis grew up separately, Brie by their mom and Francis by their dad.
"I get to show a new student around!!" Alfred said loudly.
Matthew smiled, "So do I."
"Me as well, A girl named Alexandrea."
Alfred smiled, "i get to show a dude named Jeff around."
"The person I am showing around is named Jack," Matthew said softly.
Arthur smiled as they walked up to the school. They walked to the front office to see a group of about 5 teens standing there. A taller man wearing a suit was signing some papers while the teens, two girls and three boys, laughed and compared schedules. Arthur looked as Feliciano Vargas and Kiku Honda walked in.
The principal walked over snd introduced himself to the teens. He introduced Matthew to a boy with reddish hair who seemed pretty shy. He introduced Alfred to a boy with jet black hair. Feliciano was introduced to the girl with jet black hair. Next Kiku was introduced to the short boy with blonde hair. Last but not least Arthur was introduced to the brunette girl. She smiled softly and shook his hand gently, "Call me Alex," she said.
Arthur couldn't understand why she gave him such a feeling... like hundreds of butterflies fluttered on his stomach. He cleared his throat and smiled, "I'm Arthur. Arthur Kirkland," he said. She just smiled and nodded, "it's a pleasure."
Arthur looked at Alex's schedule, "seems like we have all the same classes," he says as he smiles.
"That's wonderful!" she said happily
Arthur chuckled and turned to hide his blush. "W-we should get to class... First is English," he said as he led her to class.
In English the whole class had to read aloud from a play. The play was "The Crucible." Arthur had to play John Procter. Alex had to play the servant woman.
Next was Art, they had to draw the person sitting across from them. Arthur smiled as he sat there still as possible so that she could draw him accurately. He looked over at Feliciano as he was drawing the girl from before.
"Her name is Jane, she's dating Jeff," Alex said as she looked at him.
"Aren't you all related?" He asked.
"Heavens no! The man in the suit, Richard, adopted us all," Alex said as she giggled softly and continued to draw.
Arthur looked at Alex's drawing and smiled, "you draw really well Alex."
"Except noses... I can't get your nose right..." she said, sounding frustrated.
Feliciano walked over, "Need some help?" He asked as he looked at the drawing.
Alex nodded and Feliciano looked at Arthur and drew on the nose, "there! Now it's perfect!" he said cheerfully.
Alex smiled, "Thank you Feli," Alex said.
"How did you know my name bella?"
"It's on your pencil," she said happily.
Next was World History.
Alex seemed to know everything there was to know about Rome.
Next was Yearbook. Alex got assigned to do the Homecoming spread after she showed the teacher what she'd done at another school.
Arthur was impressed, usually only the editors got important pages like Homecoming.
Finally it was time for lunch.
Alex had brought her own lunch, which consisted of a roast beef sandwich from Subway and a bag of Doritos. Arthur bought the school lunch and sat with Alex. Soon the others showed up. It seemed like everyone was getting along until...
"Hey! Freak!" A female voice shouted. Arthur sighed knowing who it was. Adriana ... the head cheerleader. She walked over with her dyed blonde posse and dumped something on Alex's head. She blinked and stood slowly. She turned and smiled at the girls, "Hi there! I'm Alex!" she said.
Jeff, the black haired boy, Jane, Jack, the red head, and Ben, the blonde boy, stood up and walked to Alex's side in a protective manner.
Alfred, being the star quarterback, managed to get Adriana and her group to leave in a huff.
Jeff growled and sighed as he threw some towels to Alex.
She cleaned the, what seemed to be, soda off of herself. Ludwig Beilschmidt, lead editor of the newspaper, led Alex to the athletic showers to get cleaned up fully.
When Alex came back it was time for fifth period, also known as Physics.
Alex seemed to whiz through that class as well.
Sixth and seventh consisted of a free period/study hall.
We were allowed to use our phones in that class.
Alex smiled and tapped Arthur on the shoulder, she took a picture of him when he turned and then smiled at him. He raised a large eyebrow curiously. Alex smiled and handed him her phone. "Fill in your number and stuff so I can call you," she whispered.
Arthur nodded and did so after handing her his phone and instructing her to do the same. She took a picture of herself and then handed the phone back.
He chuckled at the face she was making and put his phone away.
She did the same and began reading her book.
Last and least was PE.
And today was dodgeball day.
Every Monday and Friday was dodgeball day.
The coach chose Alfred and Ludwig as team captains. Alfred chose his brother first, Ludwig chose Feli.
Alex and Adriana were the last to be chosen. Alfred chose Alex. Adriana seemed to glow with anger and jealousy.
Ludwig glared at Alfred and sighed.
The game began. Alex ran fast to the center and threw half of the balls back to Alfred's side while Ludwig was getting some for his side.
Alex grinned and easily dodged all the balls thrown at her. She laughed and looked at the three people left on Ludwig's team. Adriana, Ludwig, and Feli. Alex gently threw a ball at Feli. He yelped and the ball gently hit his arm and he went to sit down. Alfred got Ludwig out by getting him in the stomach. Adriana hit Alfred in his "area". Arthur ran over and helped him to his seat.
Now it was only Alex and Adriana. Alex stood in the middle of the gym and smirked. No matter how many balls Adriana threw, none hit Alex. Alex smirked and threw 2 balls at once. Adriana dodged one but the second hit her arm. Alfred, Arthur and the whole team cheered.
Alex smiled at Arthur after school as she walked with him and his friends.
"Hey, wanna go to the diner? It has the best food ever!" Alfred says
"I don't have any money though."
"I will pay for you," all the boys said at once.
Alex blushed and laughed softly, "no it's ok. I'll just text my dad to meet us there and give me some cash. No big," she says as she starts to text happily. She puts away her phone and the group continues to walk.
The bright diner beckoned them in once they were there. Alex looked around ad they sat at a booth. Arthur sat beside Alex, Francis sat on the other side of Alex. Alfred and Matthew sat on the other side of the booth. The man from the school office walked in and handed Alex a few bills. Alex smiled and he smiled back and waved. A waitress with short, greying hair waljed over and took their order.
Alex walked to the counter and got change fir a dollar then walked over to the jukebox and picked a song. A few minutes later their food came to them and Alex asked for an empty cup. The waitress raised an eyebrow but brought it over anyway. Alex smiled as a song came on, it was the Cup song. Alex smiled as she started to sing and use the cup the same way the person singing did. The whole diner watched and listened in awe. Mostly with her voice. When the song ended the whole diner clapped. Alex blushed and handed the empty cup to the waitress.
After they'd eaten Alex walked off into the forest.
Arthur walkec home and saw Allistor sitting there. Allistor smiled, "how'd it go?"
Arthur beamed, "amazing!"
Arthur then began to tell the tale of the day.
Allistor smiled and listened. When Arthur had finished Allistor said, "Sounds like you have a crush lad."
Arthur blushed and walked to his room and smiled thinking about the brunette.
