"How did they attack?" I spoke as my council surrounded me. Their heads were down as I glared at them. No one spoke. They didn't know. I turned my gaze to Laxus. 

"How did you let this happen?" I spoke through my teeth. My anger dripping venom as I spit them out. 

"Me? I'm not the one who left her pack with no say, no warning. What the hell was I supposed to do! I didn't know! You were gone for a whole week, we didn't know where you were and the people were scared for you. Scared that you had abandoned them for death. I tried my best to comfort them and still look for you. We were already spread thin because of missing warriors even with mine combined. Other packs were attacked before us. We had to send help." He spoke looking at me, giving me anything to argue, to be mad. But I couldn't. He was right. I left without saying anything, all because of some heat. And I was gone too long. I should have come back earlier. 

"And now your back," He continued. "and your not the same as you were when you left." Silence took the room. It was cold, all looks pointing to me. I took in a broken breath before looking them all in the eye. 

"Yes, I'm not the same as I was. I-I," I couldn't get the words out. They were lodged in my throat as I feared rejected from my pack. 

"I met the moon goddess." Gasps left the mouths of my peers. "I was in heat, that's why I left so suddenly. I was in the cabin, barely alive when I saw her. I thought it was fake, but it wasn't. She spoke to me, she told me she wouldn't stand by. She said she knew there would be a war, that she knew she could help, so she changed me. I woke up in a forest, covered in blood I didn't know why. Wolves surrounded me. I didn't know them, it was none of the other packs. They took me back with them, they told me... what I was. What I am now." I grabbed the whiskey sitting on my desk, pouring a drink. 

"There is going to be war. Hell, there already is one. With attacking the packs, they knew we would send our warriors, they knew I was gone, they knew when to attack. This war has begun, and we have to win. But with the starting of this war, I fear all myths have become.... real." I downed the whiskey. 

"The places where they took me... I learned what I am. What they were...."

"Lycans."
