"Oh Christ.."

"Danny, I'm sorry!" Jessica looks up to him with a worried look.

He just looks down at her and Sofia slowly walks down the stairs with tears in her eyes.

"How could you do that?  How could you do that to mommy?"

"Sof, listen!" Jessica says but Danny interrupts.

"Jessica.. don't."

She looks to him with a nervous expression.

"All that she's gone through with the babies and her being sick and in the hospital.. Daddy, how could you?!"

"Sofia, it was before all that!  I love your mother and I-"

"No you don't!  Dad why would you do that?  Mom is a good person!  She's beautiful!  Did you not think she was beautiful enough?  Why did you do it?"

"Sof-"

"WHY DID YOU DO IT?!"

"Sofia sweetie, calm down." Jessica walks up to her and holds her arm.

"Is this why he left?  That's why we weren't living together?"

Jessica looks down at her daughter speechless.

A nods was all she was able to give.

"Why did you take him back?"

"What?"

"Why did you take him back after what he did?"

"Because I love him."

Sofia bends her knees and sits down as she sobs into her hands.

"Baby don't!" Jessica gets down and holds her.

"Daddy and I discussed this for a long long time.. And he showed me just how much he loves me.. I never stopped loving him and neither one of us wanted to divorce each other."

"I just don't understand!"

"I know, sweetie."

Danny sits in front of them and slowly reaches for Sofia's hand but she gives him a look and pulls it away.

"Sofia, I'm sorry!  I hope you know just how much I love your mother.. How much I beat myself up about what I did to her every single day!  I wish I could take it back sweetie, I do!  I don't know why I did it.. I wish I at least had a reason, but I don't.  I swear with everything I have, I will never hurt our family again."

She looks at him with tears in her eyes as Jessica holds her.

"Where are you going?  Mommy said something about you leaving."

"Los Angeles."

"For what?"

"A movie."

"I don't want you to hurt her again.  I don't want you to leave her."

"I won't baby.. I promise you I won't."

"Does anyone else know that you did this?"

"Just aunt Sarah."

Sofia looks down and cries softly.

"I don't feel good, mommy." She nods.

"Let's get you up to bed, baby."

Danny stands up and Jessica looks at him and says, "Stay with the babies, I've got her."

With a sad look in his eyes Danny says, "I'm sorry.."

Jessica nods and takes Sofia up to bed.

When they get to her room Jessica tucks her in and kisses her head.

"Mommy, I'm so sorry that he did that to you!"

*Sighs*

"Sof.. There are things in life that happen.. Sometimes it's a sign of the end.. In this case I really thought it was... But then Bella came and she was so sick, and then I got sick.. And your daddy was there.  He never left my side.. Then we found out I was pregnant with the boys and he was so happy.. He felt he had another chance.  We talked about everything that happened and I chose to forgive him.  He's a great father and husband.. Everyone goes through rough times baby.. Some people learn from their mistakes and some people don't.  In this case your father has.. I know he has."

"Then why are you afraid to let him go?"

"I don't know?" Jessica nods with tears in her eyes.

"I don't know, Sof."

"Do you really think daddy wouldn't do it again?"

"I'm positive."

"Then let him go."

"You think so?"

Sofia nods and Jessica wipes her face.

"He would have to leave at the beginning of April.. We could go over there with him after school is over.. If you want."

"I'd like that."

"Yeah?  Okay.. Then I'll talk to daddy."

Sofia smiles softly and Jessica hugs her.

"I love you, kid!"

"I love you more, mommy!"

"Sofia, you have to promise we that you won't tell your brother or anyone else!  I don't want you discussing this anymore, do you understand me?"

"Yes ma'am." She nods.

"Okay.. Thank you."

Sofia smiles and touches Jessica's hand.

"I'm still mad at daddy."

"Heh!  It's okay.  It'll take some time. 

But I think he wants to talk to you.. Do you mind if he comes up here?"

"I'm tired right now, can we do it in the morning?"

"Sure." Jessica smiles softly.

"Goodnight princess." She kisses her cheek.

"Goodnight mommy.  I love you."

"I love you more, baby."

Jessica walks downstairs and Danny was sitting beside the sleeping babies.

"What'd she say? I need to talk to her!" He gets up but Jessica touches his chest and arm to stop him.

"No don't. She's sleepy.. Just let her rest."

"Jess.."

"Danny, I'm sorry."

"Don't be. This is all my fault.

You think you move past it all, then something like this happens to remind you how much of an asshole you are."

"Danny, you're not an asshole."

"Yes I am, Jessica."

"No.. I'm sorry I brought this up. My brain still feels like it doesn't belong to me.. I'm completely overwhelmed and exhausted. I know you wouldn't hurt me and I will not let you turn this down. Okay? I won't! I want you to go over there and do your thing and we'll meet you over there in the summer."

"You trust me?" Danny asks caressing the back of his finger on her cheek in soft and slow circular motion.

"I trust you."

"I'm sorry, Jessica.."

"I know you are."

"I love you."

"I know... I love you too."

Danny pulls her closer to him and leans in to kiss her softly.

Jessica breaks the kiss and lays on his chest with her arms wrapped around him.

"I feel horrible that she heard."

"I know.."

"She said she'll talk to you in the morning.. She's mad at you, but she did say that she wants to meet you over there after schools over."

Danny sighs.

"I'm nervous. She's never been mad at me before!"

"You're her daddy, she won't stay mad at you forever."

"Yes but I hurt her mommy. She'll never forget this, Jessica."

"Maybe not.. You just have to win her trust back. You won mine." She smiles softly.

"Yeah.." Danny leans down and kisses her nose.

"Listen, when you do come to LA, I'm paying for your mom to come too. You're gonna need help. No nannies, just family."

Jessica smiles.

"Would that be okay?"

"That's perfect!" She speaks softly.

The next morning.

Danny made breakfast and set it out on the table.

When Sofia came down she went right to Danny.

"Dad." She tugs on his shirt and looks up at him.

"Hey.. Morning." He smiles nervously.

"You can talk to me now."

"Okay.. Uh.. Go in there." He points to the living room.

Jessica watches them disappear into the next room and sighs.

"What are they doing mommy?" Jackson asks.

"Daddy's talking to Sofia."

"About what?"

"I don't know, eat your breakfast."

Jackson grabs his pancake with both of his hands and sticks it in his mouth.

"Jackson!" Jessica laughs.

"Sofia.. First of all I am so sorry. I want you to know that I love your mother more than anything in this world. I hurt her but it wasn't because I didn't love her. I've spent the last year and a half showing her how much I love her. I never wanted you to find out about this because it is something that I'm ashamed of and something that tears me apart ever single day."

"I just don't understand.. Mommy is sweet.. She's never hit us, she's never been mean to us or anyone else.. She works hard she's pretty.. Daddy, momma is so beautiful! Why would you want to be with someone else?" Sofia tears up.

Tears start falling down Danny's face.

"I don't, Sofia! I love her. I love her so much! Three times I almost lost her and the last time I actually thought I was going to for good. I never want to feel that ever again. She is smart, sweet, talented, gorgeous and has the sweetest heart in the world. I want to spend the rest of making life just making up for the mistakes I've made. Your mother deserves to be treated like a queen and I intend to treat her that way until the day I die!"

Sofia stared at him. She's seen her father cry before, but she's never seen him quite like this.

Danny had his hand on his face and Sofia reaches over and grabs it. She brought it down and looked into her eyes.

Sofia scoots over and climbs into his lap and hugs him tightly.

"I believe you, daddy." She says laying on his chest.

"You do?"

"I do." She nods.

"Well good." He rocks her and kisses her head.

Jessica tells Jackson to stay there for a second and goes to see how it's going.

She walked in and smiled when she saw Sofia in Danny's arms.

"Everything okay?"

"Hm! Yeah.." He nods and looks down at his daughter.

He kisses her head and rubs her back.

Jessica walks over and kisses Sofia's, then gives Danny a soft kiss on his lips.

Sofia holds her hand for Jessica so she grabs it.

"Hey baby." She smiles.

"I love you, mommy."

"I love you too, sweetheart."

"Daddy does too.. He's not gonna hurt you ever again."

"I know." Jessica looks at Danny.

Danny smiles and Sofia says, "I've never in my whole life been mad at you, daddy.. When I heard that my heart hurt."

"I'm so sorry, baby."

"Just promise from now on you'll be a good boy."

"Heh! I promise, Princess!"

"Good!" She smiles and tightens her grip on him.
