"Sarah, what do I do?! What if he was on it! He-He.. Fuck! Why does this stuff happen?!"

"Jessica, maybe he missed it!"

"No, he would have called! Oh my god.." Jessica touches her chest and starts hyperventilating.

"Jessica, sit down.  You need to calm down."

"How the fuck do I calm down?!" Jessica pushes her way.

"Mommy, what's wrong?!" Sofia runs down.

"Nothing sweetie, go upstairs!"

"Somethings wrong!  Tell me!" Sofia panics.

"Baby, please go upstairs.  Everything's fine!"

Sofia listen to her mom and goes upstairs.
She heard her crying and knew that Jessica wasn't telling her the truth.

Sarah turned the tv on and the news report said that the plane had been found, and there were no survivors."

Jessica fell to her knees and sobbed.
Everything they've been through.  The happiness, the heartbreak, Jessica thought back to it all.

"He can't just be gone!  This isn't real.  It's not!" Jessica stands up and rushes to grab her phone.

"There's no way he was on that plane." She says looking for his number.

"Hey you've reached Danny Huston, leave your name and number, and I'll call you later. If this is Jessica, I'm sorry I missed your call, beautiful. Muah! I love you!" Jessica hears the beep and breaks down once again.

"I love you too Danny! Please be okay.. I can't go on without you! Pick up the phone.. Please pick up the phone." She says that last part in a whisper.

Jessica hung up, then clutched her phone in her hand.
She looks to the side where one of his shirts was thrown. She grabs it and brings it to her face to take in his masculine scent.

"Danny.. Danny! Sarah, he's gone!" Jessica looks at her with tears pouring down her face.

"How do I tell the kids their father d-" Jessica couldn't get herself to say it.

"I can't do this.. I need him! I don't want to live without him!"

Jessica hears the news report saying that it was the plane that Danny Huston was supposedly on.

"Those fuckers! How do they even know that? Turn it off!!" She screams.

Sarah quickly does what she asks.

"What if his kids were in here and they heard that?
... The kids.. They're so young... He.. He'll miss everythin--" Jessica cries hard as she stands there holding his shirt.

"This is a dream. It's not happening. He's not gone.."

Sarah walks over to her and hugs her.

Jessica sobs and let's her body go limp.

"Why did he leave? Why did he leave me, Sarah?"

"I'm so sorry, Jessica."

Jessica let's out loud hurtful cry. She was so loud that they didn't notice the front door opening.

"Jessica!"

Jessica looks up and gasps when she hears the familiar deep voice.

"Danny?! Danny! Danny! Danny!" Jessica releases Sarah and drops his shirt.

"Oh my god!" She runs as fast as she can and jumps up, wrapping her arms and legs around him.

"Jess I-"

"You're alive!" Jessica grabs his face. Her hands were shaking so much from the fear and sadness she was having.

"I called you and it wouldn't go through.. I couldn't get on that flight and.. I-I..." Danny says still in shock.

"It's okay. You're still here." Jessica wipes his tears.

"Then I heard your voicemail and the sound in your voice.. I couldn't take it. I hated knowing that you thought I was gone. As soon as I heard about what happened and I realized that my phone wasn't working I tried getting here as soon as possible.  I'm so sorry!" He cries.

"Don't be!  It's okay.. It's okay, baby." Jessica caresses her shaky hands on him and they both cry together.

"Those people that were on the plane... They're gone!  I was sitting next to this guy that was here on business.. He was going to give up his seat for me..
Jess, he was a good guy.  After all the hell I put you through, that should have been me!  I shouldn't be the one that's still here!"

"No, no, no, don't say that!  You're here for a reason.  I need you and your kids need you.. What would they do without their daddy?"

"It's just not fair.."

"I know, baby.  I'm sorry you had to go through this.  I'm just so happy you're here.  I love you so much and I'm sorry for everything that's happened. 
I couldn't live without you.. The short time I thought you were gone was the worst feeling I've ever had.  Worse than a breakup, worse than a broke bone, or labor pains.. Worse than anything I have ever felt.  It was like losing a part of myself.  I love you, and I don't ever want to live without you."

"I love you too.."

Jessica holds his cheeks and softly kisses his lips.

"I'm gonna go.. I'll give you all some privacy." Sarah grabs her purse and wipes her face.

Danny puts Jessica down and looks at Sarah.

"Thank you for being with her."

Sarah's lips quiver and she walks over to hug him.

"It's okay, Sarah." He pats her back.

"You're a good father, Danny.. You're good to Jessica.. Don't ever doubt why you lived.. God has a plan for everyone."

"Thank you."

Sarah pats his back and turns to Jessica.

"Bye Jess."

"Bye.  Thank you so much." Jessica gives her a hug

Sarah leaves and Jessica hugs Danny again.

"I just can't let you go right now.."

"It's okay.. I need all the hugs I can get."

"Well then let's go up and see our little minions. They love giving their daddy love."

"Yeah." Danny smiles softly.

"I can't believe I almost lost you."

"But you didn't and that's all that matters."

"Yeah.."

Danny leans in and kisses her lips softly.

"Mommy, is everything okay?
Daddy! Daddy! What are you doing home?!" Sofia runs down and hugs him.

"I um.. Have to take a later flight."

"So you can stay home tonight?!"

"Yeah, Princess!" He smiles and holds her tight.

"Yay!!"

Jessica tears up when she sees Danny's eyes water.

"Let's go upstairs, babe."

"Yeah.. Come on, Princess." Danny picks Sofia up.

They go to the play room Jessica where left the kids and Jackson runs up to him with excitement.

"Daddy, you're home!"

"Yeah, bud!"

"Daaa! Daaa!" Arabella claps her hands.

"Hi baby girl!"

Jessica gets the twins out of the baby swing and Danny takes them from her.

He sits on the ground, Sofia hangs on his back, Jackson sits right beside him and Arabella crawls into his lap.
It was like in a way they knew their father needed them.

Jessica cried watching them all together.

"Mommy, why are you sad?"

"I'm not sad, Sof... These are happy tears!" She smiles and wipes her eyes.

Danny smiles and motions for her to come closer.

She walks over and kisses him.

"I love you.. I love all of you."

"We love you too, daddy!"

"Daaa! Daaa!" Arabella sings while the boys babble.

Jessica giggles and places her palm on his cheek with a loving smile.

"Yes we do, baby.... We love you."
