Peter's P.O.V

It has been a week since Percy first arrived. It's been great around here with someone my age. He is funny, kind and awesome with a sword. I'm the only one he told about his powers. Lately I've been noticing bags under his eyes and he's been tired. I wonder if he's been sleeping okay. The Avengers were all seated in the lounge and Loki was as usual, leaning against the wall. Although we didn't trust him yet, we tolerated him. Percy walked in and smiled at us. He was about to say something when something came from a shadow and blurred towards him. Percy flew across the room and landed on a table, rolling across it, scattering objects everywhere. The whole team stood up and aimed or weapons at the person who attacked Percy. What I saw surprised me. A tall, skinny boy with pale skin, dark eyes and black hair stood there, massaging his fist. He was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a skull ring on his finger. He looked pissed. 

"Perseus Jackson you are so dead." He said with a snarl. Percy slowly got up, leaning heavily on the table, rubbing his jaw.

"Who are you? Why did you attack Percy?" Natasha demanded. Suddenly Percy laughed.

"Relax guys, it's just my cousin." He said with a grin. I stared at him, dumbfounded.

Percy's P.O.V

I rubbed my jaw, Nico's punches had gotten stronger.

"Guys, this is my cousin, Nico." I told them. They looked at me dumbfounded.

"Nico! How have you been?" I asked him with a grin. He glared at me.

"I came to see you one day and you were gone without a trace. You didn't bother telling me where you went. How do you think I am?" He shouted with a snarl. I winced.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled.

"I was worried sick and all you have to say is I'm sorry?!"

"Look, I kinda deserved that punch and-"

"You really deserved that punch."

"-and I know you're angry-"

"I'm furious!"

"-but I was a bit busy." I finished. Nico sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He suddenly a voice came from the shadow Nico had popped out of.

"Who missed team Leo?" The voice said. A grin broke across my face.

"Leo!" I shouted.

"Percy!" Leo shouted. He stepped out of the shadow with that mischievous grin of his. He jumped when Thor squealed and clapped his hands.

"Okay, who's the excited god?" Leo asked me.

"That's Thor and his brother Loki. Apparently we are legends on Asgurd." I told him.

"Really?"

"Yeah, there actually is a team Leo." I said with a laugh.

"I knew that, I just didn't know anyone was in it."

"So. Why are you here, or is it just to check up on me?" I asked, turning serious.

"We have news about-" Nico stopped.

"Do they know yet?" Nico asked and gestured to the Avengers. I shook my head.

"What? Do We know what?" Tony demanded.

"Okay, we have news from your uncles and dad." Nico told me, ignoring Tony. I felt my face harden.

"What about them?" I asked coldly.

"They're looking everywhere for you. Even in other countries. The hunters are also searching for you." Nico told me. I scowled.

"I led them off track for a bit, they shouldn't be looking here yet." He said.

"Thanks." I muttered.

"If your uncles and dad are looking for you, why are you hiding?" Natasha asked.

"Long story." I muttered.

"Who are you guys anyway?" Leo asked the team.

"We're the Avengers." Clint said smugly. The Avengers all stiffened, as if they thought Leo and Nico would go all fangirl on them. Nico raised an eyebrow and Leo tiled his head.

"The who?" He asked.

"How do you not know who we are?" Tony yelled.

"Apparently a few months ago they fought in a war to save the world." I told them. Nico's eyes widened.

"They fought in the gi-" he was about to finish when I quickly shook my head.

"Not that war. It was another war. Against the Chitauri." I quickly said.

"Did you say another war?  Was there another one?" Captain asked. Nico, Leo and I looked away. Then my eyes widened as I remembered something.

"Steve?" I asked him. He looked at me warily.

"Yes?" He asked. I smiled.

"Meet Nico. He's also from another time." He looked shocked.

"You were from another time?" Nico asked. Steve nodded.

"I was frozen for about seventy years." Steve said to Nico.

"I was stuck in an enchanted hotel for about seventy years." Nico told Steve. I felt my eyesight flicker and I felt weak. Oh crap. This is a sign that Tartaraus is going to force me to sleep so that he can torture me.

"Excuse me for a bit." I said and quickly walked to my room. I locked the door behind me.

"Jarvis, shut down all cameras in my room." I said and coughed into my hand. I looked and saw blood on my fingers. I lay on my bed and put my head in my pillow. Then sleep overtook me.

I was chained to the wall again. Tartaraus came in with someone else.

"Kronos." I spat out. He smiled maliciously at me.

"Well hello, Perseus. Lovely to see you again."

"Wish I could say the same about you." Kronos laughed and pulled out a knife from his belt. I could see the edge of it glow a green colour. Poison.

"This is the same poison that killed Zoë. I like the irony." He said softly. He slowly dragged it across my arm. I felt my skin cut and the blood drop down. He cut my other arm and then slowly pulled the knife across my chest. It stung but wasn't too sore. I held back a scream as he plunged the knife hilt deep into my shoulder. A gasp escaped my mouth as he twisted it sideways, still in my shoulder. He let go and stepped back. I felt myself grow weaker as more and more blood came out. I could feel the Poison spread slowly through my shoulder to my heart. It felt like my veins were turning to fire. It was 100 times worse than jumping into the river Styx. I let out a scream and faintly heard Kronos and Tartaraus laughing. They unlocked my chains and dragged my half-conscious body to a room with a glass tank full of clear water. They threw me into it and instantly I felt the Poison leave my system. My wounds closed up and I didn't hurt anymore. Strange, they obviously knew I can heal in water, so why would they put me in here? A dark purple substance was released into the bottom of the water. It slowly spread out. I looked out of the tank and saw Kronos and Tartaraus grinning evilly. I swam as far away from the purple stuff as I could, but that wasn't very far. Soon the purple substance had spread across the entire tank. I held my breath but eventually I had to inhale. The purple came in my mouth and I realised it was Poison. My body trashed around as I choked on it. I pounded against the glass and my body convulsed. My body fell to the bottom of the tank as I fell unconscious.

I woke with a gasp, sweat dripping down my face. I coughed a few times and grabbed the bottle besides my bed. I took a big gulp and nearly had a heart attack. A dark figure was sitting on a couch near my bed.

"Nico?" I asked in surprise.

"Oh hey. You're up." He said.

"How did you get in?"

"After you introduced me to Steve, we talked for a bit and then I noticed you were gone. I came here but it was locked, so I shadow travelled in. What happened in your dream?" He asked worridly. I looked down.

"The past week Tartaraus has been visiting me in my dreams." I told him. His eyes went big.

"Tartaraus? He's after you?!" I nodded.

"Every night he's been torturing me." I said softly.

"Percy, I'm so sorry." He said. I shrugged.

"It's not your fault." There was silence after that.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"About two hours." I slowly got up.

"We should go before they start to worry." I told him and stretched. We walked outside of my room and to the kitchen where the Avengers were having an argument about who gets the last muffin. Tony and Clint lunged for it at the same time and knocked into each other. They both tumbled to the ground. Thor grabbed it and turned to run but tripped over Natasha and they both fell over. Peter reached out for it but Steve tackled him. I noticed Loki holding a video camera and laughing silently. At that moment Leo walked in.

"Hey guys, what are you- ooh! Muffin!" He shrieked and grabbed it. He stuffed the entire thing into his mouth and chewed once before swallowing. Everyone stood up and glared daggers at him. He gulped and sped out of the room, followed closely by the Avengers. I laughed and clutched my side. Nico was in hysterics. I wiped away some mirth.

"Please tell me you caught that on camera." I asked Loki in between fits of laughter.

"I did." He replied, almost laughing as hard as I was. We watched Loki put it on YouTube. Leo came running in, panting.

"Okay, we've seen Perce, we've met his friends, now let's get out of here." He said hurriedly. Nico rolled his eyes. He turned to me.

"See you later. I hope that the..." he cast a nervous glance at Loki.

"Nightmares stop soon." He told me, grabbed Leo's arm and shadow travelled away. Loki immediately turned to me.

"What nightmares?" He demanded. I avoided his eyes.

"Nothing. Just drop it." I snapped and left the room. Red lights flashed and the voice of Jarvis said,

"There is an emergency in Times Square. All Avengers meet on the roof." I sighed. When am I going to have a break?
