That's why you have to make chapter 1 pretty awesome. Also, I recommend, short. If chapter 1 is too long, people get overwhelmed. 

Anywho, we're not here to talk about you! We're here to talk about me. I am super excited to answer your burning questions about me and my alter ego, Deb. (Just so you know, I'm the creative brains of the operation. Deb just does the grocery shopping and laundry. Don't tell her I said that!)

1. Are you really a mermaid? 

Who's askin'? This question comes from the very talented masonfitzzy. If you like horror, cannibals, or sexy stories, check out her work for sure.

My answer: A lot of people have asked me over the years whether I am really a mermaid, and the truth is, I'm not allowed to say for REASONS! Okay? I do love the ocean and sparkly things, though!

2. If you could have one romantic getaway anywhere in the world, where you go and why would it be Hawaii?

Who's askin'? This question was posed by the very evil and very awesome, LeighWStuart. She has two profiles on Wattpad. The other one is called BindingTies. You should immediately head over and read all her stories. She is a trad published author, has an incredible sense of humor, and loves Beowulf for some weird reason. You should ask her about that!

My answer: Why do I only get one romantic getaway? That seems very unfair. This is obviously an evil question posed by an evil person. But if was tied to a chair in an interrogation room with one weak yellow lightbulb floating overhead and a mean guy with bad breath and only half the usual amount of teeth glaring at me, I would say Hawaii because it's gorgeous and the humidity is good for my skin. Also, there's a cute little lagoon in Kauai with a secret mermaid population. And no, I can't tell you where! I am also evil.

3. Which of your characters are you mostly likely NOT to be friends with in real life? And conversely, which of your characters are u mostly likely to be friends with irl?

Who's askin'? This two-part question comes from Wattpad legend, AvaViolet. I don't even need to tell you who she is, but if you don't know her work, you are missing out! Read her With Me series immediately if not sooner!

My answers: I would not be friends with any of my villains—Prince Charming, the narcissistic cheater, Darkins, the ocean polluting jerk, Talia, the ex-finace from hell, and many more. If I had to choose a character who is not a villain, it would be Lily-Bella because I'm scared she would beat me at swordplay, and I don't like to lose.

As far as who I would be friends with, obviously all my protagonists. They are all me in disguise, and I am a really good friend! Very loyal and never forget a birthday. Of all my protagonists, Andie Bank from My Crazy Hot Interstellar Affair is most like me. We're both ex-Hollywood accountants who love sci-fi. So she'd probably be my bestie.

What is the meaning of life?

Just because I'm an evil overlord doesn't mean I know EVERYTHING! But my educated  guess is that the answer is chocolate. 

How is it you have such an amazing singing voice?

I have the worst singing voice on the planet. My family groans when I sing along to the radio. My dog whines. Even my shower has begged me to stop. For this reason, I will never do karaoke!

I used to make jewelry and was a lampworker who made my own glass beads. Here's an ocean-themed bracelet I made.

I don't have a set schedule but usually in the morning.

Yes, I was a CPA. Love math.

7. Do I have a writing buddy and who is it?

I have a lot of writing friends that I like to bounce ideas off of. But not a specific person.

8. What do you do for a living?

I write.

9. Do you believe aliens exist for real?

Given the vastness of the universe, aliens probably exist, but I don't believe in little green men who fly to earth in their spaceships for the sole purpose of creating crop circles.
