Chapter 4: Mine

Yay for long chapter!!!!

------------------------------------------

Sky's POV

I stared at the evil god. "Wh-What do you want from me?" I asked, cursing myself for stuttering.

Herobrine smiled "your fear feels wonderful, and you should feel hon-" he began, but was cut off by one of the squids behind me.

"Listen here Herobrine! You still owe us for helping you bringing him here!" The squid said walking past me and towards the god, determination in his face, his friend staying behind me as far as he could . Either the squid is incredibly brave, or stupid. I'm going with the second.

Herobrine stared at the squid, his expression shocked, like he couldn't believe the squid had actually spoken to him, let alone demanded something of him.

Herobrine growled "Incase you've forgotten, I've already given you what you wanted."

"Over fifty of our finest warriors were killed in order to bring him here, we even lost our second in command, he's probably a prisoner now. Not to mention that the other prisoner you gave us escaped." The squid covered it's mouth after that, shocked to have admitted that. "I- I mean-I..."

Herobrine stared at the squid angrily, his eyes going an even brighter white. "You insolent, pathetic excuse for a squid!" He snarled, a ball of bright orange fire appearing in his hand.

He hurled it at the squid faster than I could blink. When the fireball hit the squid, it burst into flames. The squid screamed in agony as the fire scorched it's flesh. It continued to burn until it was nothing but a pile of ashes and ink sacs.

I yelped and stumbled away from the ashes. I may hate squids, but even I felt sorry for it.

I then turned and saw Herobrine right behind me, he was smiling again, like he was amused "What? Does the Budder King feel pity for a squid? After killing them by the thousands?"

I stepped back and glared at him, my fear slowly giving into anger. "At least we make their deaths quick, unlike you, I don't like to watch people suffer."

Herobrine stared at me for what felt like a eternity, then his smile grew and he laughed. "I guess it worked somewhat. Not as much as I'd hoped for, but oh well, I can make adjustments."

I frowned at him. "What are you talking about?"

Herobrine chuckled "See for yourself." He said gesturing to the wall, as he did, a mirror appeared on the surface.

I narrowed my eyes at Herobrine and slowly walked towards the mirror, when I saw my reflection, I yelped.

I looked normal. I still had my black and grey clothes on and my lovely butter amulet with the amethyst in the centre, my hair and face looked fine as well.

But my eyes. They weren't their normal hazel colour, they were a just like Herobrine's, glowing and soulless, only difference was that they they were a bright yellow, like the colour of butter.

I stumbled away from the mirror. "Wh- what did you did to me?!" I shouted "What am I?!"

"Your my semi-successful experiment." Herobrine said, acting like it was no big deal.

"Successful?!" I shouted "I've got freaking flashlights for eyes!"

(A/N: I'm Australian, so I would say torches, but I'll use flashlights for the sake of others)

Herobrine rolled his eyes. "Oh you'll get used to it. Besides I only said, semi-successful, something did go wrong."

I stared at him. "What in the nether went wrong?" I growled

Herobrine smirked "My potion was supposed to give you part of my power, and personality. It seems your willpower, has overcome the personality part, which is annoying. I can make adjustments though."

I took a step away from him, not liking where this conversation was going. "Your not doing anything else to me." I said determinedly, "I'm leaving and going back to my friends."

"Why bother Skybrine? They won't accept you now that your, well like me."

I froze at the name. "What did you just a call me?"

"Skybrine, I think it suits you better now that your like me." Herobrine said taking a step towards me.

I matched his step by taking another step back. "Don't call be that. It's just Sky."

"Whatever, again, why bother? They'll never accept you, you'll always be alone. I can fix that, teach you all you need to know about being a brine. You have all my powers, I can teach you how to use them. Your already using them now." He said nodding at my hands.

I hadn't noticed, but they were clenched into fists and smoke was coming off them. I unclenched my fists and watched as a small bit of fire fell from my fingers and hit the floor with a hiss.

I looked at Herobrine and growled "I'm nothing like you, and I'll never join you."

Herobrine sighed "A shame, I thought we could do this the easy way. Then again the hard way is so much more fun."

Before I can open my mouth to reply, he rushed froward, grabbed my neck and threw me against the wall, lifting me up by my neck.

I clawed at his hand in vain, trying to loosen his grip on my neck to no avail. Herobrine stared at me, and I began to have a headache, like someone was pushing inside my brain and then I realised what he was doing, reading my thoughts.

Black spots began to dance across my vision from the lack of air. Herobrine smiled and let go of my neck, taking a few steps back, the headache vanishing as quick as it came.

I fell to the floor, gasping as sweet air filled my lungs. I coughed and massaged my neck, glaring at Herobrine, who was smiling evilly.

"So, that's why." He chuckled, "How ironic."

I opened my mouth to reply, but he then picked me up by my shirt collar and pinned me agains the wall. I struggled against him, but he was too strong.

He then grabbed my amulet and began to murmur in some ancient language, as he did so, my amulet began to glow brighter.

As this happened I felt something happening to me. I saw images flash before my eyes, memories. They were of my friends, my experiences, my life. It was...... Nothing. No, it was everything to me! It wasn't anything to me. Yes it was! I- I can't let him do this to me! My life... It... It meant nothing to me.

I could feel all my good emotions drain out of me. All my kindness, compassion, love, remorse all left me.... and I didn't care.

Not anymore.

Herobrine's POV

I murmured a spell in demon tongue, an ancient language even older than me. As I did, I held onto Sky's amulet and it began to grow brighter.

Sky's glowing yellow eyes began to get dimmer, the colour leaching out of them. I could fell him struggling to fight it, but he was fighting a loosing battle.

Soon his amulet was glowing impossibly bright, and his eyes were a dull, soulless white, like mine. He seemed dazed, like he wasn't sure what was going on.

I smiled and let go of him. Pulling the amulet off him as I did so, and putting it in my pocket, I'd have to dispose of it somehow, but I can dwell on that later.

Sky slid down the wall, groaning. I leaned closer to him and spoke "Your mine now Sky, or should I now say, Skybrine."

I got up and stood back as Skybrine let out a low chuckle. He stood up slowly and looked at me. His eyes were still white, but glowing brightly now, and he was smiling, but it wasn't his usual smile, it was a cruel, evil smile.

He knelt before me and said "Of course my Lord Herobrine, I am your loyal servant."

I smiled and turned to the remaining squid in the corner of the room, shaking with fear.

My smile grew wider and I turned back to my new servant "Skybrine, as your first order. I want you to travel to your old friends and kill the squid they have in their custody, but don't kill your old friends, I want to see their reactions to the new you. But first..." I said pointing at the squid. "You can practise your new powers on this squid."

Skybrine looked at the squid and grinned evilly. "Yes my Lord." He said standing up and walking towards the squid. A golden sword appearing in his hand.

I laughed as I heard the squid's tortured screams as Skybrine finished him off.

This is gonna be fun.
