Watched The Maze Runner last night...

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!

Although I was disappointed with accuracy to the book and stuff...

Yet not that disappointed..... It's certainly better than how they've done the Percy Jackson movies...

So I was satisfied with it... Who am I kidding I LOVED IT!!!!!!!

Ty's POV
I stormed out of the library angrily, I wasn't really sure where I was going, but I didn't care.

How could Mitch say that? How could he be so calm about telling the others to kill Adam if they can?! He's our friend! My best friend! He can't just expect me to take this well!!

Before I knew it, I was outside, wandering by the lake where Adam had been kidnapped, no squids were in sight, not that I cared at the moment. I looked down at the water and could see my reflection in the water. I looked angry and upset.

I sighed and continued to walk along the shore. Picking up rocks as I went and skidding them across the lake.

I remember Adam and I did this when we were little. Just after we became friends. When I was about 8...

Le flashback....

I'd had a hard life before then, my mum died when I was born and my dad gave me away to an orphanage, and it wasn't a very good orphanage at that.

We hardly got food and any food we did get was stale or rotten, much like the caretaker. The other orphans had one rule amongst themselves, 'Every man for themselves.'

I hated it there, but it taught me to survive, take what you can and make it last! That's the motto I lived by. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore, so I ran away.

I lived by the same rules on the streets as I did in the orphanage, I took what I could and made it last.

Eventually, I found myself by a lake surrounded by forest.

It was very peaceful, until I heard shouting and saw a boy about my age, by the lake as well, a squid was dragging him by his feet into the water.

Before I knew what I was doing, I found myself running at the boy, grabbing his hands and pulling.

"Hold on!" I shouted, not letting go and pulling as hard as I could until the squid finally let go, sinking back into the water and disappearing.

"Thanks." The boy said, I finally got a better look at him, he had scruffy brown hair and a pair of black sunglasses over his eyes. He had a black and grey outfit on along with red runners, black gloves and a gold amulet with an amethyst in the centre.

"Don't mention it." I said "What happened?"

"Squids." The boy said, shuddering slightly "They've had out for me from the day I was born."

"Uhh, ok then." I said, wearily.

"I'm Adam, though most people just call me Sky." The boy, Adam, said "So what's yours?" He asked

"Ty" I said, "Well I better go." I said standing up, "Nice meeting you, Adam."

Adam got up "Yeah, I better get home too, where do you live?" He asked "Maybe we could catch up some time."

I froze "I'd rather not say." I said before taking off into the forest. The boy might have been nice, but I knew I had to look out for myself.

After a while, I found a town, it was pretty bustling and a large castle stood at the end. All the villages seemed to surround the castle.

I was staving, I had no more food I knew what I'd need to do.

I saw a counter selling apples and the vender was distracted at the moment so I snuck by and while he was distracted, slipped an apple under my shirt and continued walking...

Until I felt a hand clamp around my arm and pull me into an alleyway and I turned to find myself staring up at a solider wearing a light yellow uniform.

"You shouldn't steal lad!" The solider scowled holding put his hand "Hand it over."

I looked down and pulled out the apple."Wait!" A familiar voice called out before I could give it to him and I turned to see Adam running towards us.

The solider frowned "Adam why aren't you in the castle?" He asked, sounding annoyed. "You know the squids would kill you if they found you."

'Of course!' I thought 'He must be like the general's son or something!' I'd heard a general and his army looked after this area of Minecraftia. The castle must be their base.

"I didn't go near the lake! I was playing with my friend." he lied, nodding at me.

"Who? This thief?" The solider asked looking at me angrily and I took a step away from him.

Adam nodded "I dared him to try and steal an apple and not get caught, I was gonna pay for it if he got away with it, now he's gotta pay, we'll go do it now."

The solider frowned "Alright then." He said, not questioning the young boy "Get home soon, your father's looking for you." He said walking away.

"I will." Adam called out. When the solider was gone, he began laughing and I couldn't help but laugh too.

"I can't believe he bought that!" I laughed.

"I know! He said. "By the way, soldiers are always on patrol here so it'll be pretty hard to steal."

I raised my eyebrow "Why did you help me?" I asked.

"Because you helped me." He said "It's only fair.... Why did you steal that apple? Is your family poor or something?"

I looked down, saying nothing.

"Oh, sorry." He said catching on.

"Yeah," I said softly. "Well, thanks... I better go." I said turning to leave.

"Hey, maybe my dad can help you, I live in that big castle and there's plenty of spare bedrooms. I'm sure we can get you a room to stay."

I stared at him, realising what he was offering me "Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked

"Because everyone deserves to have a place to stay." He said

I looked at him "What's the catch?"

Adam smirked and held out his hand "That you be my friend."

I looked at the hand for a minute before smiling and shaking his hand. "Deal."

End of flashback...

I'd stopped throwing rocks and was now leaning against a tree, watching the water.

"I figured you'd be here." came a voice and I turned to see Jason walking towards me.

"Did you now?" I asked

Jason nodded "You always come here to think, or when your pissed."

I smirked but said nothing.

"You know Mitch means well, right?" He asked sitting next to me.

I sighed "I know, it's just..."

"You can't stand the thought of it." He finished

I nodded "Adam's my best friend, I don't know what would have happened to me if he hadn't helped me. I can't just do that to him, not after everything he's done for me, I won't."

Jason looked at me "Hey, your forgetting about what Seto found. Tomorrow, were gonna find the temple of Notch and find out how to save Adam. We can't loose hope yet."

I smiled "Yeah, I guess your right."

Jason nodded and stood up "I know I'm right. Now let's go get ready, the sooner we go, the sooner we'll get our friend back."

I smiled and stood up "Alright then." I said as we walked back to base.

It was gonna be one chapter, but that would have been too long.
