Every minute around the world, someone's mouth open,
A word of lie is spoken

Different reasons to speak a lie,
I wonder "why?"

Sometimes, lie is spoken from heart,
Knowing the truth other person may get hurt

Some are selfish,
Lies are spoken to fulfill their wish

Pranks are done,
These lies bring out some fun

Lies are to show others down,
By the ones who like to wear fake crown

Lies are spoken out of fear,
So, they could escape punishment's sphere

But my inner voice cries,
One lie may overshadow a hundred truths, A single truth can definitely shine through a million lies....
