**warning: guys... this chapters a little dark...**

"Will!"

Will turned his head at the sound of his name being called and watched as his mom ran up to him, Malia, Kira, Theo, and Stiles in the waiting room of the hospital.

"How bad is it?" Will asked his mom once she was at the group. Sabrina sighed at her sons words, shaking her head. "Could have been worse." She muttered before she gave her son a small smile. "Good job on that tourniquet. You probably saved her life."

Will felt a weight lift off his shoulder at his moms words. Sabrina knew he needed to hear it. Lydia was his best friend and she knew how much he cared about her.

"She's about to go into surgery. So it's going to be a while. Any other supernatural details that I need to know about or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?" She asked just as Scott and Liam walked up to the group.

"It was the tail." Kira blurted. Will nodded his head, looking down at his mom. "Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference."

" Okay." Sabrina muttered. She brought her hand up to Wills shoulder, giving him a reassuring rub before she walked back to Lydia's room.

"But it wasn't just Tracy. There were the others. The guys in the masks." Malia said. Will turned to his cousin before he looked at the others. None of them believed her. Will felt his heartbeat in his temples as he thought back to the masked men. He wanted the group to believe her. To believe him. But he didn't know how to get them to without telling them the masked men were after him.

...

Will barely got any sleep that night, part of him terrified to close his eyes. Worried the masked men were out to get him. Will got about an hour of sleep when it was time to get up for school. Now, he was sitting in AP bio with a pounding headache.

"If 99.9% of our DNA sequence is the same as other humans, what could account for the missing 0.1% difference?" Mrs. Finch asked the class. She looked around the room before her eyes fell on Will and Theo's table.

Wills eyes quickly darted to his textbook to look as if he was reading about the lesson, silently hoping Mrs. Finch wouldn't call on him.

"Theo?"

Will let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in, turning to his table partner. Theo looked like a deer in headlights, his mouth opening and closing trying to come up with an answer.

"Um, nucleotides?" Theo finally decided to go with. The teacher smiled, nodding her head. "That's right." She said, making Theo now be the one to sigh.

From the front of the class, Kira rose her hand, turning the teachers attention to her. "Yes, Kira?"

"Can there be more than one species in the same DNA?" Kira asked and Mrs. Finch quickly shook her head. "No, but there can be multiple sets of DNA in the same individual. We call that a chimera."

Chimera.

Will felt a small tug in his chest when he heard that word. He remembered reading about them when he and Stephanie were trying to figure out what she was back in sophomore year, but hearing it now felt different.

It felt personal.

"Anyone know where that term comes from?" Mrs. Finch asked and Will raised his hand. The teachers eyebrows rose subtly, not expecting Will to know the answer considering he hadn't been doing the greatest in class.

"Will?" She asked and Will lowered his hand, smiling. "Greek mythology." He answered and when Mrs. Finch smiled and nodded her head, Will congratulated himself in his head, glad he could show his teacher he knew some things.

Theo looked at Will in shock, a small smile on his face as he watched his table partner. "How did you know that?" Theo asked quietly, making sure Mrs. Finch couldn't hear him.

"When we were trying to figure out what Stephanie was before we knew she was a kanay, we read a bunch of Greek mythology books. Guess the info just stuck in my head." Will shrugged out. Theo watched Will for a couple more seconds before he pursed his lips and nodded.

...

Will, Kira, Scott, and Malia sat in the second floor of the library, reading through all the bestiaries the library had to find more information on chimeras.

Will sat at the end of the table, Scott next to him and Kira on the other side of Scott while Malia sat directly in front of Kira.

"Anything in there about half-werewolves, half-Kanimas?" Malia asked, looking across the table to Kira's book.

"Chimera." Will corrected, not looking up from his own book as Stiles walked up to the four. Stiles gave Will a confused look at his words, pressing his hands on the table to lean on it.

"The what?" Stiles asked. Will finally looked up from his bestiary to Stiles. "Chimera. It's a creature made of incongruous parts." Will explained as Stiles took the seat across from Will. Will pushed a bestiary to Stiles' direction as Scott closed his own book, leaning closer to the table so only the group could hear him.

"And if Liam said he found three burial sites, it means Tracy's not the only one." Scott explained and Will started to feel himself panic. He looked back down at his book when he started to feel himself blink rapidly. Will knew Stiles knew his tells of when he was panicking so if Stiles saw, he'd catch on.

"Who's the second and third Chimera?" Kira asked, turning to Scott. "And why would they bury them?" Stiles added. Will took a quiet, deep breath. Everything that had been happening to Tracy had been happening to him as well. He was one of them.

Scott turned his head to looked down at Will at the sound of his heartbeat speeding up. He watched with furrowed brows as the boy gnawed on his lip. Scott knew something was up with Will. He could hear whenever his heart rate would speed up and he has been smelling the anxiety off of him for days.

Scott felt something in his gut, gnawing at him to question Will. To figure out what was going on with him. Scott thought about it for a couple more seconds before shaking it off, deciding on asking Will about it later.

...

The group had been reading different bestiary's for hours. Scott, Kira, and Malia had left within the first hour after Melissa texted Scott telling him to go to the hospital. Scott tried to get Will to go with him since his mom would be there too, but Will chose to stay, secretly wanting to learn what the hell was going on with him. Kira ended up going with Scott and Malia left to get some rest.

Now, Stiles was asleep in the seat across from Will, drooling on the book under him. It's been a couple more hours and after being stuck in one chair for so long, Will had to use the restroom. He quietly excused himself, not wanting to wake up Stiles and went down the stairs of the library and out to the hall.

Will walked around the empty school. It was around 8pm and quiet. Even though many would freak out walking around a quiet, empty school in the night, Will really needed it right now. All that was echoing in his own head was the sound of the masked men.

His gratefulness quickly seeped away when he heard the exact sounds he feared. Will froze as the chirping started again from behind him. Will turned around and saw the three masked men standing right behind him.

He didn't even have a chance to run away before the man in the middle reached out for his head, the fingertips of his glove glowing. As soon as the man touched Will's head, he was unconscious.

...

Wills head was pounding.

He groaned in pain. He tried to put his hand to his forehead, but his arm was restrained down. Will opened his eyes and raised his head to look down at his hands.

Will was strapped to a surgery table. He looked around the unfamiliar room. He saw big tubes filled with green liquid, one of them having a body inside. Just passed the tubes, Will saw someone standing, staring right at him. Will squinted, trying to get a better look at who was in the room before he realized it was Theo.

Will started the thrash against the table, trying to break free as he looked at Theo with a smile. "Theo! What are you doing over there? Help me!" Will yelled with wide eyes. Theo slowly looked up at Will, sighing as he walked towards him. Wills brows furrowed. How could he hear Theo sigh? He was too far away.

Will looked up to the ceiling and as he thought about it, all of his senses felt heightened. His vision, which wasn't absolutely horrible but one step away from needing reading glasses, was perfect. He could smell the sitting water in the corner of the room and he could hear Theo's heartbeat.

Wills own heartbeat started to speed at that thought. Something happened to him. He's something. Part of him knew it ever since he started learning about Tracy, but the other part of him was hoping he was just getting in his head. That is wasn't true.

Will turned his head just as Theo got up to him. Wills smile was gone, the only look on his face was a pleading look. Theo watched him with a sad frown that Will instantly knew wasn't genuine.

"I'm sorry it had to be you, Will. I really am." Theo mumbled, shaking his head as if it'd make Will feel any better. Will tried to pull his hands out of the restraints he was in again but couldn't.

Will looked up at Theo, nostrils flaring as he bit his lip. "Stiles was right. We shouldn't have trust you." Will seethed and Theo smirked at his words. "You should've listened to your boyfriend."

Will clenched his jaw and looked back up to the ceiling. "What am I?" Will asked, his voice breaking. He didn't want to be anything. He wanted to be human. He liked being human. Ever since he found out about the supernatural, he never wanted to be anything and now he was something.

Before Theo could answer, the loud chirping of the Dread Doctors getting closer and closer stopped when they all stood around Will. One slowly lifted up a long needle filled with green liquid and slowly brought it to Will's neck.

Will screamed as the needle pierced his skin. He felt a burning sensation enter around his neck before he felt dizzy.

And his eyes shut from the pain.

...

Will felt a pounding in his head. A let out a pained groan, stirring in his sleep before his eyes opened.

He was back in his room.

He knew what had just happened wasn't a dream. He knew it was real. He knew Theo was working for the men in the masks and he knew he was a chimera.

Will shot out of bed and grabbed his phone off of his nightstand. He paced around his room as he tried to call people from the pack. Sure, it was midnight, but that was nothing to the pack. Someone had to be awake.

Stiles?

Voicemail.

Scott?

Voicemail.

Malia?

Voicemail.

Kira?

Voicemail.

Liam?

Voicemail.

Hell, Will even tried to call Mason, but was left with his voicemail too. He didn't try calling Lydia, knowing she was in the hospital and her mom would've probably declined his call. Will felt his heartbeat start to pick up and his breathing start to quicken as he called Stiles again.

When Will heard the ringing on the other line stop and heard breathing, Will perked up, a sense of relief washing over him. "Stiles! Stiles, I really need your help! Listen, I know I'm gonna have a lot of explaining to do, but the masked guys.... They're after me. Theo's working with them and no one's answering my calls. Stiles please." Will pleaded, his voice cracking slightly.

On the other side of the line stood Stiles. He couldn't even hear Will from the ringing going through his own ears as he stood in the middle of the library where Donovan laid, now dead.

The Stilinski boy shook his head, he hadn't heard what Wills said. His eyes drifting off the body to the ground as he cleared his throat. "I can't talk right now, Will." Stiles said and Will tensed up, shaking his head.

"No! No, no, no! Stiles! You have to help m—" Will was cut off by the sound of dial tone coming from his phone.

Will felt his stomach drop and his heart ache, removing the phone from his ear and looking down at his home screen.

Stiles hung up on him.

Will felt his chest start to hurt and throat start to burn, his breathing going uneven, throwing his phone across the room, not even caring that it shattered.

Will's throat only started to hurt more as he tried to hold back any cries that would leave his lips. His hands went to his hair, pulling it slightly as he fell back into the wall, slowly sliding down it until he was on the ground, his knees to his chest. Will, not taking the pain anymore, let out a loud scream.

Only it didn't sound like a scream.

It sounded like a roar.

Will felt his bedroom shake. He noticed that his chest was coming up and down heavier and his mouth felt full. Will slowly got up from the ground and walked towards his mirror that was hung up on his wall. When he saw himself in the reflection, he felt his whole body stiffen.

The first thing Will noticed was that his irises were a golden yellow, just like Liam's and just like how Scott's used to be before he become true alpha.

Next he noticed that his ears were slightly pointed. He didn't have the huge sideburns which made him somewhat relieved.

Will separated his lips, keeping his jaw closed as he looked at his fangs.

Lastly, Will slowly raised his fist and opened his hand. A small gasp left Wills lips at the sight of his now clawed hand.

Not knowing what to do, Will punched the glass of the mirror and ran out of his room. Will ran down the stairs, barely staying up from how fast he was going. He ran out of his house and down the street, trying to run to Scott's house.

As he ran, he heard a low clicking behind him. Will turned his head and saw the three masked men following behind him.

The boy ran down the street faster as the masked men followed him. Will felt as if he was flying at how fast he was going, worried he'd trip over his own feet if his pace changed.

One of the Dread Doctors grabbed a string from their pocket and tossed it. The string wrapped itself around Will's ankle like a magnet and the Saticoy boy fell to the ground.

The three doctors stood over Will, tilting their heads at him. Will looked at the three above him, slowly trying to scoot away from them but one of the doctors noticed and slammed his foot down on Will's leg, a sickening crack echoing throughout the street.

Will let out a cry in pain, his head falling back onto the cement as he shut his eyes. The Dread Doctor that broke Will's leg slowly raised its cane. "Your condition is terminal." Will opened his eyes, they were yellow again as the one of Doctors knelt down and pushed a syringe full of silver liquid into his neck.

Will's felt everything in him freeze. His chest tightened as his breathing faltered, letting out a small, weak cough, mercury spitting out of his mouth along the way.

Will watched with a blurred vision as the Dread Doctors slowly turned around and walked down the street, leaving Will completely alone on the pavement.

Will felt it get harder to breathe with every shaky breath he took. Every time he coughed, mercury came out with. Will slowly reached up to the liquid by the corner of his mouth, wiping it with his index fingers.

He brought his hand to his line of eyesight, his eyelids getting heavier as he stared at the silver mixture on his fingertips. A small cry left his lips as he closed his eyes, accepting his fate.

Wills breaths got shakier before his breathing slowed completely. His eyes dulled as his arm fell from his side as he took his final breath.

Mercury started to quickly pour out of Will's mouth, surrounding him in the silver liquid in almost seconds.

From across the globe, Stephanie shot awake; her eyes bright purple and loud gasped breath leaving her lips. Everything in her and Isaac's room was floating, including Isaac.

Isaac yelped when he woke up to himself in the air, he turned to Stephanie just as her eyes went back to their normal brown. Everything slowly started to fall back to where they used to be as Stephanie tried to catch her breath at what she saw in her head.

She saw everything that had happened to Will.
