Don't Know

On the way to the clinic, Isaac and Stiles told Stephanie the truth about what happened to Josh.

Once they got to the clinic, the three quickly got out of the car and walked into the clinic. Hearing them coming, Theo walked into the main room from the backroom. "What's going on?"

"Whoever's stealing the bodies probably isn't going to do it while we're standing guard over one of them." Stephanie explained as she, Stiles, and Isaac walked into the backroom where Josh's body was. Theo rolled his eyes at Stephanie's words. "So you've got a better idea?"

Stiles turned to Theo. He didn't answer his question as he turned to one of the shelves and placed his phone on it, making sure the camera lens was pointing right at the body.

Stephanie scoffed at the phone being out in the open. She walked towards Stiles and moved him out of the way. "Dude, at least hide it better." She grumbled, grabbing random bottles of powder Deaton had, covering the phone, but making sure the camera was still pointing at Josh.

they all walked back to the Jeep, Stiles in the drivers seat, Theo in the passenger seat, and Stephanie and Isaac in the back. The three supernaturals watched as Stiles placed his watch that showed what his camera was filming onto his rear view mirror.

"What happens now?" Theo asked as Stephanie and Isaac got comfortable in the backseat, moving around so both of them were partially laying down.

"We wait. We might be here a while since whoever takes the bodies come whenever." Stephanie groaned out once she was comfortable. Theo looked back at her before turning back to Stiles, silently asking him if she knows about Donovan. Stiles bit his thumb nail, nodding.

Theo sighed, looking at the couple through the rearview mirror. "You want to take shifts watching?" He asked, but before either of them could answer, Stiles scoffed. "No, no. I want to spend some quality time with my favorite people; you and Isaac."

Isaac rolled his eyes as Theo smirked. "Sounds good to me." He muttered, readjusting his seat to lay back before Stephanie grabbed the seat adjuster with her powers, pushing him back forward. "You're gonna smush me, Raeken!" Stephanie yelled.

Theo laughed, remembering when they were little and Stephanie would yell at him for pushing her down the slide before she was ready. He turned to Stiles beside, thinking he'd be laughing with him, but Stiles sent him a glare.

Theo's smile fell, pulling his lips into a line. "You still wondering why I haven't said anything to Scott?" He asked and Stiles huffed. "Maybe." He grumbled while Stephanie snickered. "Kiss ass." She whispered.

Stiles and Isaac both laughed, Stiles's a lot quieter while Isaac's was loud, quickly trying to hide it when Theo whipped around to glare at Stephanie.

Stephanie gave Theo a cheeky smile. He turned back to Stiles and raised his brows. "Would you believe me if I said all I want- all I've ever wanted is for you guys to trust me?" He asked and Stephanie let out a small hm. "Told you. Kiss ass." Stephanie whispered loud enough for Stiles to hear and Theo rolled his eyes again.

"And you dragged these two along because..." "Because they have enhanced abilities and powers so if you do anything, I have them." Stiles snapped, interrupting Theo. He turned his head just enough to see the Raeken boy and glare at him.

Isaac smirked at those words. "Armor. Sweet." He quietly cheered, raising his hand up for Stephanie to high five. Stephanie smiled, returning the gesture as Stiles stifled a laugh.

"Plus, I'm sure Steph would love to see me stuck in car with two boys that irritate me greatly." Stiles said, sarcasm laced in his voice and Stephanie hummed in happiness. "This is my entertainment." She stated, a big smile on her face, making Stiles point back at her with his thumb, keeping his eyes on the camera.

"You know who you remind me of?" Theo asked, and Stoles groaned, wanting Theo to stop asking so many questions. "Theo, I don't care." Stiles grumbled, but Theo continued talking, answering his own question.

"My sister." He said and Stephanie's heart sank, she remembered hearing about Tara's death. Sabrina didn't let her and Will around that creek ever since.

"She was smarter than everyone too. And a pain in the ass like you. But she always looked out for me. The same way you look out for Scott." Theo explained, but no one responded, silence taking over. No one wanting to speak after the mention of Theo's sister.

So Theo continued.

"You know, I was the one that found her body. She'd fallen into a creek, broken her leg. They told us she would've been okay if it wasn't one of the coldest nights of the year. If it wasn't for the hypothermia. And when I found her, all I could think was that I should've known. That I should've been looking out for her." Theo said and Stephanie's heart started to beat faster, starting to think about how she wasn't there for Will.

Isaac grabbed Stephanies hand, her and Theo hearing her heart rate pick up. Isaac turned to look at the back of Theo's head. "Why are you telling us this?" He asked.

Theo turned around to Isaac and Stephanie, a small frown on his face. "I'm telling you because even if you don't trust me and even if you don't like me, I'm still going to be looking out for you... the way I should have been looking out for her."

...

Melissa, Sabrina, James, and Noah all sat around the Sheriffs office trying to figure out what all of the missing teens had in common.

James and Sabrina still didn't know about Will, but Melissa and Noah didn't know that. When Melissa and Sabrina showed up to the station with all of the missing teens files, Melissa purposefully didn't bring Will's, not wanting to upset James or Sabrina.

James, Sabrina, and Noah all looked through Lucas, Tracy, and Donovan's medical files as Melissa looked around Noah's office, her eyes falling on a moon chart. "There's a full moon coming."

Noah sighed at Melissa comment. He crossed his arms over his chest and nodded. "I know. I put that up there when I realized just how much bigger the job had gotten. James has one on his desk. So does Parrish." He said, gesturing to James when he mentioned him.

James, who was leaning on the Sheriff's desk reading Donovans file, looked up at the sound of his name and noticed Noah now watching Donovan's photo sadly. "You don't think he's still alive, do you?" James asked. Noah looked back at James before turning around to Donovan's photo again. "I wish I could say yes." He muttered, making Sabrina and Melissa's eyes widen. "You wish?" Sabrina asked.

"Isn't this the kid that threatened to stab you? Both of you." Melissa asked Noah and James, but the two men just shrugged. They work at the Sheriff's station, they've been threatened many times.

"Yeah. But he was just a kid. More than anything else, a victim of circumstance." Noah said, making Sabrina and Melissa's rows furrow in confusion.

James sighed, passing them Donovan's medical file, the page of his accident on top. "The day his father was shot, Donovan jumped on his motorcycle to get to him. He was hit by a car two blocks from the hospital. So, when his father was finding out that a bullet had severed his spine, Donovan was being wheeled into surgery for internal bleeding."

Melissa looked down at the boys file and her eyes widened as she looked up at James. "Hold on. Didn't you say something about a skin graft?" She said and Sabrina shook her head. "Yeah, that was Tracy. Deaton said that there was a graft on her shoulder." She said, thinking Melissa was talking about Tracy. Melissa looked up from the files to Sabrina, handing her Donovan's file. "No, Donovan had one too."

Sabrina read over Donovan's file and her eyes widened. She quickly put down the file and grabbed Lucas', scanning it for the same procedure. When she couldn't find a skin graft mentioned in his file, she groaned. "There is nothing. No skin grafts for Lucas."

Sabrina and Melissa flipped through medical files. James shook his head, pushing himself off of the Sheriffs desk, walking over to stand beside his wife. "It can't be a coincidence. What else is there?"

Sabrina shrugged, sighing. "The only other thing I noticed that he was born with congenital glaucoma."

"But that's nothing like a skin graft." Melissa said, making Sabrina nod in agreement.

The Sheriff quickly walked over to the three, shaking his head slightly. "Okay, what do they do for that? The glaucoma? Uh, did he take medication?"

"It says here they did a corneal transplant a few years ago." Melissa read out, turning to Sabrina so she could fully explain. "It's a fairly routine outpatient procedure. It was an allogeneic transplant taken from a recently deceased donor." Sabrina jumped in before noticing Melissa's shocked face. "What?"

Melissa took the pile of files, flipping through them until she got to Tracy's file. "Tracy's skin graft was allogeneic. That means taken from individuals of the same species."

Noah opened Donovan's file, pointing at his medical records. "So was Donovan's." Noah breathed out, making Sabrina send a worried look to James.

"Both skin grafts and the cornea were taken from outside donors. Donovan, Tracy and Lucas had two sets of DNA." Melissa said as the Sheriff nodded. "The Chimeras... were all genetic Chimeras to begin with."

Melissa smiled, nodding with the man, glad he was catching along before she noticed Sabrina and James' worried faces. "Brina? James? What's wrong?" She asked quietly, making Noah whip his head to the couple.

James took in a deep breath before looking up at Noah and Melissa. "Will had an allogeneic bone marrow transplant when four." He whispered as Sabrina cleared her throat. "He's a Chimera too."

Melissa and Noah locked eyes in confusion and worry. Slowly, Melissa turned back to the parents, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"You guys don't know?" She asked carefully and Sabrina's heart sank. Her eyes darted back and forth between Noah and Melissa, both of them watching her and James with sympathetic eyes. "Know what?" Sabrina asked and Melissa sighed.

That's when Sabrina started to worry even more.

She knew Melissa and she knew how to speak doctor. She knew how to break bad news. And Melissa was starting to look at her like she the family members of deceased patients and Melissa was telling them their loved one died.

"I think you two should have a seat..."

...

"You know, I saw his teeth." Theo said quietly to Stiles and Stephanie after he looked back to the backseat and noticed Isaac asleep, his head resting on Stephanie's shoulder.

Stephanie's brows furrowed, she could barely hear him over Isaac's snores right in her ear as Theo continued. "Donovan. He was a, uh... wendigo, wasn't he?"

Stiles brought his fist to his mouth, his eyes still on the camera watching Josh. "Yeah." He muttered, making Stephanie cringe, remembering reading about wendigos when her, Stiles, Scott, and Will were trying to figure out what she was back in sophomore year.

"That's the cannibal one, right?" She asked and Stiles nodded. "Native American. The myth says that if you ate human flesh, your punishment was to turn into a creature that constantly craved it." He explained and Theo chuckled, leaning back in his seat.

"That's a pretty judgmental myth." Theo laughed out and Stiles shrugged. "Well, I didn't make it up." He snapped and Theo shook his head, turning to Stiles. "What if it was the only way to survive? I mean, you ever hear of the Donner party? I'm pretty sure they didn't turn into wendigos."

Stephanie scoffed out a laugh, looking out the window with an amused smile. "Well, they didn't live in Beacon Hills." Stephanie laughed out.

Theo chuckled at his words as Isaac started to wake up. "Good point." Theo muttered, looking at Stephanie and a now awake Isaac before he turned back to Stiles, raising his brows. "So what's the punishment for killing a Chimera?"

"You spend five hours in the car with Theo Raeken and Isaac Lahey." Stiles snapped back almost instantly. Isaac frowned, having just woken up and was already getting insulted. "Dude." He muttered, but Stiles ignored him, tears starting to pool in his eyes.

"I know what my punishment is. I lost Will." He said, his voice cracking as he blinked. The tears started to fall down his face. Stephanie leaned forwards and rubbed Stiles's shoulders, making the boy let out a tiny sob he was trying to hold in.

Stiles shook his head, swallowing the lump in his throat. "And to top it off, I'm gonna lose one of my best friends. I'm gonna lose Scott." He whispered, his voice still shaking.

Stephanie immediately shook her head, moving so her face was in between the two front seats.
"Stiles... you're not gonna lose Scott. You were worried about losing me and you didn't."

"But Scott won't get it. You know him. He will see it as me killing him. He'll see me differently." Stiles whispered, turning to Stephanie. He bit his lips as Stephanie started to feel her own eyes water.

"If Scott really gave up on you, then he wouldn't be a True Alpha or a real friend, would he?" Stephanie asked and Stiles shook his head, not taking Stephanie's reassurance. "Or maybe that's the definition of one, someone who doesn't put up with murder."

"It sounds like you guys need to look up justifiable homicide." Theo muttered sarcastically, making both Stephanie and Stiles look at him like he was crazy. "Did you seriously just say that to a son and daughter of cops?" Stiles asked, pointing between himself and Stephanie, making Theo rolled his eyes.

"A werewolf's eyes are supposed to change color when you take an innocent life." Theo snapped before he showed Stiles his wolf eyes. His yellow wolf eyes. "Do these look blue to you? It was self-defense. For me and for you." He snapped and Stiles rolled his eyes, an annoyed smirk on his face.

"Or maybe you just don't feel all that bad about it. You can't say one life is objectively less innocent than another one. What if they turn blue cause you feel guilty?" Stiles asked and Stephanie rolled her eyes.

"It is not up to interpretation and you know that. It was self-defense, Stiles." Stephanie tried to reassure. She truly hated that Stiles was letting himself feel so much guilt about it. She didn't think he deserved it.

Theo let out a breath, glad Stephanie was jumping in. "What happened with you and Donovan? Not guilty." He said and Stiles bit his inner cheek. Theo sighed, not knowing what to say next.

"Did you feel bad about it?" He decided to ask and when Stiles started to turn to him with an annoyed expression, Theo rolled his eyes.

"Not now. I mean right then. Right when it happened. What were you thinking the moment you knew he was dead and there was no saving him?" He asked and Stiles looked back ahead of him, licking his lips.

"One word..." Stiles started before he turned to look at Theo, all of his sadness gone front his features. "Good."

Suddenly, before anyone could react to his words, both Isaac and Theo straightened up, their faces contorting into confusion. Stephanie looked back and forth between the two boys, squinting at them. "What?" She asked, catching Stiles's attention.

"A scent." Theo muttered and Isaac nodded in agreement. "Like smoke. Like something burning." Isaac added, looking out his window to see where the smell is coming from.

As Stephanie and Isaac looked through the back window, a body walked towards Theo's window. With a flamed hand, they broke through the glass and punched Theo in the face, his blood splattering across Stiles's.

Stephanie and Isaac turned back to the front and Stephanie screamed as the body grabbed Theo, pulling him out of the car. She did have any time to make any kind of protection for her, Stiles, and Isaac before the Jeep flipped, her, Isaac and Stiles still inside.

Since they didn't have their seatbelts on, the three teens were thrown around the Jeep. Once it was flipped upside down, Stephanie ended up halfway in the front seats, her forehead and nose bleeding. Stiles was halfway out of the car, his top half out f the drivers side window and Isaac was sprawled out across the backseats.

With all four teens unconscious, no one stopped the individual as they walked into the clinic and stole Josh's body.
