Calling for Help

Stiles called Will about ten times on the drive home from the library where Donovan's body disappeared. Stiles knew at some point in the library, Will had called him and they talked, but Stiles couldn't remember anything from the conversation. He was freaking out.

Now, Stiles paced around his room, his whiteboard marker in hand as his eyes darted back and forth between his crime board and the floor.

He looked at the words "DONOVAN NOT DEAD. WALKED OUT." he had just written in big letters, followed by a "DONOVAN DEAD" and a "SOMEONE TOOK BODY" right underneath.

His heart was racing a mile a minute as he tapped his finger on his leg. He was getting anxious to why Will hadn't been answering or calling him back. He quickly pulled his phone out of his. pocket and called Will again.

The tapping on his thigh was faster and as the phone rang. "Pick up. Pick up. Pick up." Stiles muttered. His legs were starting to hurt from his pacing and his anxiety.

"Hey, it's Will! Sorry I can't come to the phone right now, but leave a voicemail! I'll call you back! Byeeee!"

Stiles hung up the phone and threw it onto his bed and he screamed.

...

Stephanie and Isaac arrived in Beacon Hills at around 2am. They got the first flight they could out of Paris and were now standing in Wills vacant bedroom. Stephanie's parents weren't home, both of them having late shifts at work that night.

Stephanie's breathing was shaky as she looked over her brothers room. It was a mess. His mirror was shattered and his phone was in pieces on the floor, the blankets and sheets of his bed were scattered. Normally, Will's room was neat, probably just a few items of clothing tossed on the floor. This was different.

"Can you track his scent?" Stephanie asked, looking up at Isaac whose own eyes were trailing around the room in shock. He slowly shook his head, turning back to his girlfriend. "Yeah, come on." He muttered, already walking out of the room. Stephanie quickly caught up with Isaac's faster steps as they walked down the stairs and out of the house.

They walked in the direction of Scott's house, but Stephanie and Isaac didn't question it. Isaac stopped walking and Stephanie, despite it being dark, started to realize this is where Will was in her nightmare. This was where he fell.

"It stopped." Isaac muttered. Stephanie's brows furrowed, she turned her head to her boyfriend and flashed her flashlight to his face. "What do you mean it stopped?

"His scent is gone. It stops right here." Isaac said, his head facing the dark street in front of them as Stephanie's head and flashlight fell to a pool of silver in front of them. He brows furrowed as she crouched down to get a better look at the liquid. "What the hell?"

Isaac looked down at Stephanie to see what she was talking about and immediately crouched down with her. "Mercury."

...

Stephanie and Isaac slowly walked up to the driveway of Scott's house. It was around 3am and Stephanie and Isaac were drained. Stephanie sighed at the sight of the house. He had to be awake. If something happened to Will, something was happening in Beacon Hills again which meant he'd be up.

"There's four of them. Scott, Stiles, Lydia, and Kira." Isaac said, sensing Stephanie's worry. Stephanie nodded, looking up at the boy. "That's practically everyone. We can find Liam and Malia later." Stephanie whispered before walking up to the door.

Stephanie and Isaac walked into the McCall home and just like Isaac had said, Stiles, Scott, Kira, and Lydia were all inside. The four turned their heads at sound of people coming in, all of them shocked and confused at the couple they thought were in Paris.

"Steph? Isaac? What are you guys doing here?" Scott asked, shaking his head as his eyes stayed mainly on Stephanie. He immediately noticed the tears in her eyes, he could hear how fast her heart was beating, and he could smell her sadness. Her grief.

"We're here for Will." Stephanie said, her voice was shaky and she sounded a little nasally. She could see Stiles walk a little closer to the head of the group, his boyfriends name catching his attention.

"What are you talking about? We haven't heard from him all day." Scott said, shaking his head. Stiles slowly nodded, part of him completely terrified because of the couples arrival.

"Yeah, he hasn't been feeling well these past couple of days. We didn't tell him about this plan. Thought we'd let him rest." Stiles said, his eyes darting over every part of Stephanie's face except her eyes. Stephanie turned to Stiles and her heart sank further. He looked stressed, but not as upset as he'd look if he knew what had happened to Will.

That's when she realized. They don't know. Stephanie's eyes darted to Lydia, her brows furrowed. Lydia would've had to know, right? She would've felt his death. "You guys don't know?" Stephanie asked. Isaac heard every single persons heart in the room start to pick up as the four walked closer to Stephanie when they heard how hoarse her voice was.

"Know what?" Scott asked gently, not wanting to startle Stephanie, but she didn't answer. Stiles slowly walked closer to Stephanie as she sniffled. "Stephanie, what are you talking about?" Stiles asked, his voice quiet.

Stephanie felt her mind start to race as she thought back to what she saw in her head. She bit on her trembling bottom lip to hold back the cry sitting in her throat.

Stephanie took a deep, shaky breath to stop herself from starting to cry. "I saw him." She whimpered. She slowly looked back up to face the group. "I... I thought it was a nightmare at first. But, he was laying on the street and there were these masked men..." Stephanie bit her lip, she swallowed the lump in her throat and shook her head. Scott took a slow step forwards at the mention of the masked men, who they now knew were called the dread doctors.

"And one of them broke his leg and injected him with something silver. And then..." Stephanie's voice cracked as she took a deep breath, finally looking up, her eyes falling on Scott, who was now standing right in front of her. "He stopped moving." Stephanie whispered, shaking her head crazily until Scott pulled her into a hug, holding onto the back of her head.

Stiles and the rest of the others turned to Isaac. The boy looked down the floor, finding it hard to say the words out loud too. They heard a small sniffle from him before he locked eyes with Stiles. "Will's dead."

Scott started to feel the girl cry into his chest. He tried to remember all the ways he made her feel better when she would cry when they were younger, putting his mind on that instead of what happened to Will to distract himself.

"We knew it wasn't a nightmare when Stephanie woke up with her eyes all purple and shit started levitating in our room." Isaac said, making Scott turn back to him. Isaac swallowed. "We got the first flight here. He wasn't home, but I started to follow his scent. We went to the street Stephanie saw in her head and Will wasn't there, but the puddle of silver was." Isaac said before he shrugged in defeat. "I couldn't follow his scent anywhere after that. It just... stopped right there."

Stiles felt his hands start to tremble and his throat start to burn. He started to get dizzy. Will is dead.

"The Dread Doctors." Lydia whispered, her voice cracking. Scott slowly pulled away from his hug with Stephanie, looking back to the two girls behind him, both of them already having silent tears falling.

Stiles couldn't remember a single word Will said during the call but he started to remember how panicked he sounded over the phone.

"He called me." Stiles said through gasped breaths. Isaac, Stephanie, and Scott were the only ones that could really understand what he was saying since they have super hearing and since Steph has helped Stiles through panic attacks before.

Scott shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Stiles, he called all of us." Scott tried to reassure. Stephanie's brows furrowed, turning to the alpha. "What?"

Scott turned to Stephanie, slightly worried when he realized what he had said. What if she starts to blame them? Scott gulped. "At midnight. He called Kira, Stiles, and I. Maybe more of the pack."

Stephanie's eyes widened as she did the math. She woke up when it was midnight in Beacon Hills time. "That's when it happened. That's when he died." Stephanie said, looking back and forth between Scott and the back of Stiles's head. She frowned at the back of the Stilinski boys head at her next set of words. "He was calling for help."

Stephanie saw Stiles crumble in front of her. She felt her heart break even more. She knew how much Stiles cared about him. Stephanie slowly waled up to Stiles and sat down beside him on the curb. Slowly, she wrapped her arm around his shoulders and scooted closer to him to comfort not only him, but herself as well.

Stiles wanted to recoil from her touch. He didn't deserve to get sympathy, not when he's the reason Will is dead. But he let her stay where she was. He knew she needed this.

"We have to find out where the bodies are going. We find the bodies, we find Will." Scott said, turning to Isaac, Lydia and Kira beside him. Lydia turned to Scott, nodding her head. "We have to read that book." She said and slowly, Stephanie turned away from Stiles, her and Isaac turning to the strawberry blonde with furrowed brows.

"What book?"
