GemWings

Fan Tribe Name: GemWings

Description: Brightly colored dragons with shiny scales that look similar to gems. They range in sizes and body types, but are never fat. They have elegant features, metallic-looking retractable spikes on their spines and whip-like tails, and claws similar to a cat's, but able to fit a dragon. Their eyes are large and brightly-colored, and horns look like crystals, and are slightly see-through.

Home: A cave system in one of the center mountains in their mountain range territory. The cave system, called The Caves, is pretty long, with dragon-made dens for each family that isn't royal or good friends with the Queen. The dragons who are royal or good friends with the Queen live in a palace made of diamonds, opal, and stone, some common resources found in The Caves. The Palace has lots of large rooms, and takes up the area between the mountain with The Caves inside and a neighboring cave. The sad thing is that the poor dragons are not allowed to live in The Caves, and are often killed if found past curfew outside a secure cave like The Caves. The mountains are almost always snowy, with many birds that fly by and lots of mountain creatures to hunt. There is also a Scavenger Den near the edge of the GemWing territory, named the Gem Mountain Range, named after the dragons themselves.

Customs: As a part of the GemWing culture, they wear lots of jewelry, along with celebrating Diamond Day sometime in the winter (January 11th for Scavengers) to celebrate their first non-villainous Queen. And, after the Queen or Princess has dragonets, they kill the father, due to them killing Royal eggs in the past, and have what's called an Execution Party. At these parties, not only do you get to watch a dragon die, but all dragons, even the poor, are invited to have a feast with the royalty members!

Queen or King: Queen Emerald, King Coal was killed at an Execution Party.

Families: Dragonets almost always know their parents (unless put up for adoption), and live in a single room in The Caves with their birth siblings, maybe an adopted sibling, the mother, and the father. A female GemWing is allowed to have up to 2 mates, and only 3 birthed dragonets with each. If this amount goes over, they will be executed (without an execution party, as those are only for Princes and Kings). The family bonds are usually pretty strong, and families will work together in a battle. Although, Royal families are different. A Queen or Princess can they have as many dragonets as they want, they are not allowed to adopt. The Royal Family is also not as close, and usually has their own individual rooms in the palace.

Actions: These dragons think very highly of themselves, and can get into battles because of their I'm-the-best-on-this-earth-and-you-can't-stop-me attitiude. These arguments only happens with other tribes, though, as they can see the ranks of being the best. And I can tell you, the Queen is almost always on top.

Powers: Sharp, retractible spikes and claws, can shoot small and piercing pebbles out of their feet, able to breathe in dust, smoke, and most gases without side effects, and can breathe any color of fire in the rainbow, controlling the color is difficult, though, and regular orange fire is the usual produced type.

Religion: None

Royalties: Princess Crystal, Princess Amethyst, Prince Aquamarine, and Prince Cobblestone (Crystal's boyfriend)
