"Brianna, hurry up and come down for breakfast or you're going to be late on your first day back to school."

"I'll be down in a minute, mom" i shouted.

I had just woken up few minutes ago, i guess you could say i cherish my sleep. Here i am, still contemplating on what to wear on the first day of resumption. I hastily pulled out a pair of black jeans and a red tank top and red sneakers from my closet, dressed up, grabbed my stuffs and ran down the stairs. I didn't want my mum screaming again.

"Finally" she said as she saw me come down.

I smiled and took a seat at the kitchen table. She served me breakfast- pancakes, and just when i had taken the last bite we heard the sound of a car on.

"Gabe is here" my mum said.

I kissed her cheeks, said goodbye and went out to meet my best friend. Gabe and i have been best friends since we were 12. We loved each other and understood each other perfectly.

Gabe's point of view

I watched Brianna make her way to my car. She looked stunning as usual. Her long brown hair looked perfect as it fell down her back and her piercing blue eyes made her look mesmerizing. I wondered again why she has never dated.

"Hey, you" she smiled to me as she sat in the passenger seat.

"You just had to be late, didn't you?" i smiled back.

She just winked at me. The ride to school was quiet.

Brianna's point of view

Immediately we walked through the school doors, i could see at least a dozen pair of eyes on us. A lot of people assumed we were dating due to our closeness but we didn't care. Gabe is really cute. He has fawn coloured hair and brown eyes.

I walked to my locker and he came with me to collect my books. I looked up to see Allison walking towards us. She looked at Gabe, without acknowledging me and laid her hands on his chest, smiling flirtatiously.

"Hi, Gabe. I missed you during the vacation. I'm guessing you were also thinking of me." she remarked.

Gabe just gaped at her, surprised. "Uh, i guess so." He replied.

"Would you mind coming to sit with me and my friends during lunch?" she questioned.

"I usually sit with Brianna, you know."

"Oh," she looked my way for the first time and i just stared at her. "I guess you could come with her" she said

Gabe nodded and she blew him a kiss and strutted off. Just then, the bell rang.

"See you at lunch, Bri." he pecked me and walked off.

During lunch

Gabe and i walked into the cafeteria and just as we were about to take our seat Allison called out to him and waved him to come over.

He took my hands "come on Bri, lets go sit with them. How bad could it be?"

I shrugged and went with him. Thankfully, lunch went smoothly, except for Allison constantly flirting with Gabe. She invited him to a party at her place this weekend and he reluctantly said we would be there.

The rest of the day went on smoothly and Gabe dropped me off at home after school.

The next day at school, i walked into English class and as i sat down i felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked back and saw an unfamiliar face. A boy with blonde hair and green eyes. He was smiling at me and i couldn't help but notice that he has a cute laugh.

"Hi, my name is Brody." he said, extending his hand for a handshake....
