" So first of all, he doubts his writing ability and his storytelling ability. I personally think he does good but when he gets in a mood like that...ehhh there isn't much I can do. I can't stop him from unpublishing. He feels like his plots are too weird, too out there. But I mean, Manaphy (or Mew transformed into a Manaphy) is just the reason the plot starts. Like I've tried telling him it's okay to use them to lead into the actual plot. But he just stubbornly feels like he writes too weird of plots because of them involving his favorite trope - Body Swap

"Secondly, he compares himself constantly to others. This has been something he has struggled with for years. He has always compared himself to people who are better and instead of using it to motivate himself to do better, he uses it to defeat and get in his own way.

"And I also think he just struggles with trying to stay positive and passionate about his stories. I don't know for sure but I feel like eventually he starts finding nitpicks to discourage himself.
