Chapter One: The Man With Black Hair
(Y/N)- Your name!
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Your entire body ached. You heard the sounds of police sirens and panicked voices all around you. Your vision was also blurry. You could hardly see your surroundings. But you sure could feel the cold hard ground that was beneath you.
"Am I dead?" You ask yourself.
"Almost." A mysterious voice that you swear that you've never heard before says.
"W-who are you?" You ask. It's very hard for you to speak but you manage to choke out those few words.
"Oh, we've never met before." The stranger said. Your vision cleared just to see the man's features. He had square-framed glasses and black hair. He was also wearing a black shirt with a pink 'M' on it. First impression told you that he was probably a nerd. "My name's Mark. And I know that this is a really stupid question to ask while you're laying on the ground in a pool of your own blood but what's your name?"
You were about to tell Mark what your name was but you just couldn't help but ask about the last thing that he said.
"B-blood?" You croak. It was becoming easier to speak the more you spoke, you realized.
"Yes." Mark said. "But don't worry. It doesn't look like you've lost too much. By the way, I still didn't get your name."
"(Y/N)." You say.
"(Y/N)." Mark echoes. "I'll remember that. But only because it's a beautiful name."
"Thanks?" You say. You didn't really understand why Mark was talking to you in a situation like this. You thought that now would be a good time to get to the hospital right about now.
"You sound so unsure." Mark said. "Why do you sound like that?"
"Listen, I have no idea why the hell I'm here or why you're even talking to me in the first place but I just want to get to a hospital so that they can tell me if I'm going to be okay or not." You said. "And you must do this a lot."
"What do you mean?" Mark asked.
"Do you always find girls who are near death and talk to them like how you're talking to me?" You asked.
Mark laughed. You thought that he had a really nice laugh. He was in the ninety-five percent of the world who had a laugh that would make your day just a little bit better. The other five percent are the people who have those really freaky or creepy laughs.
"No." He said after he finished laughing. "This is my first time doing something like this."
Before you could respond any further, You heard another voice.
"Sir, we're going to have to have you move out of the way." You realized that it was one of the paramedics. "(Y/N) needs to have medical attention right away. She's practically hanging on to life by a thread right now."
"I understand." Mark said to the paramedic. You heard his voice on his ear as he said, "I hope to see you around (Y/N). It was really nice meeting you. And who knows? Maybe I'll find another girl who's laying on the ground in a near death phase like you."
You wanted to laugh at his comment but you just couldn't. You didn't know why you were lying on the ground in the first place. Hell, you didn't even know anything about your past. You realized that the name that you gave to Mark might not even be your real name.
