Wooooowww this is an exciting chapter. I'm really excited right now ugh. But also kinda like bleh the way it came out idk it's short but it's an update right ??? (I'm sorry) but yeah And I've actually been to the restaurant Percy and Annabeth are at in the first part so its a real place this time lol.
Saturday, January 5th
7:30 pm - The Smith, New York City
"This is so good," Annabeth gushed over the food.
"I know right," Percy agreed. He had taken her to this restaurant in the city for their three month anniversary, and she had to say; Percy knew how to pick a restaurant. She usually picked where they went, but he insisted that he wanted to pick on his own this time. And he had done a good job.
"You did a good job, Seaweed Brain," she chuckled.
"See? I can do some things, Wise Girl," he retorted and they laughed. The food was great. The place was a little loud, but a lot of places in the city were, and she could still hear Percy, so it was alright. "Okay, so what do you think our waitress's name is?"
They played this game at a lot of restaurants that they went to. If the server didn't tell them their name, they tried to guess what it was. Their waitress now was short with sandy blonde hair, and a cute pair of glasses.
Annabeth thought for a second, taking another bite of her food. She swallowed. "Morgan," she decided.
"Final answer?"
"Yes," she laughed.
"Alright, I'm going with Vanessa," Percy said. When the waitress came back to check on them, he asked.
"How are you finding everything?"
"Incredible," Annabeth said, chuckling.
"I'm glad." She smiled. "Is there anything else I can get for you?"
"Actually, we play this game where we try to guess our server's name. So, if I could ask, what's your name?"
"Jordan," she said, almost laughing.
"Damn," Percy cursed. "I was close."
"You were not," Annabeth protested. "Vanessa is no where near Jordan. Morgan is way closer." She sipped her lemon water.
The waitress laughed. "I'd have to agree with your wife."
Woah.
Annabeth almost spit out her water. Did they really look old enough to be married? The pregnancy was probably the give away, but still. She wasn't opposed to marrying Percy, she still just felt like that was very far ahead of her right now. That wasn't even something she should be thinking about; it was never going to happen. But then where was this relationship going?
No. Annabeth couldn't be asking herself that question, at least not right now. She just needed to just enjoy Percy while she could.
"Thank you," Annabeth said, giving Percy a smug look and deciding to ignore the 'wife' thing.
Percy laughed. "Well, for as attacked as I feel right now, thank you for entertaining us," he thanked Jordan.
She laughed. "It's my pleasure." Then she turned and walked away.
"I totally won," Annabeth said, continuing to eat her food.
"Fine... but I wasn't that far off," he mumbled, eating another bite from his plate. A pause passed between them, and Annabeth knew exactly what Percy was thinking about, because she was thinking about it too. "That... that 'wife' thing was weird, huh?"
"Yeah," Annabeth agreed. "I mean, we don't look that old, do we?"
"I mean, maybe it's just because you're five months pregnant," Percy suggested with slight sarcasm.
Annabeth scoffed, chuckling at him. "Well I'm sorry that there's a child growing inside me."
Percy laughed. "No you're not, Chase."
"You're right," she said, wearing a smirk. They laughed.
She really wasn't.

4:15 pm - Annabeth's living room
25 weeks and 2 days
"Okay, all the letters are hidden?" Annabeth asked, finishing setting up the cups and plates.
"Yeah, everything is ready," Percy reassured her. Today was the name reveal party and Annabeth wanted everything to go perfectly. She had come up with the idea of a scavenger hunt when she was brainstorming for this party. She had known her baby's name early on in the pregnancy, and she was so excited to share it with her friends. Percy already knew it, and his reaction was one of the cutest and most amazing things she had ever seen. His smile was so wide it made her heart do jumping jacks.
"You're sure?" she asked again.
"Hey," Percy said, coming up to her and taking her hands. "Everything is going to be fine." He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
She smiled and took a deep breath. "Okay,"
Just then, the door opened and Frederick came back into the house. "Alright, the path is all clear." He had just finished shoveling snow off the path outside. He looked around at the decor and smiled. "That looks great, Pumpkin," he complimented. He also knew the baby's name, and he was happy to hear that she had picked a something meaningful.
"Thanks, dad," Annabeth said. "Everyone is gonna get here around 5," she announced. "So we have a little time to really make sure everything is ready. Percy you wanna help me put out chips?"
"Yeah sure," he agreed. They walked into the kitchen and Annabeth grabbed the bowls and Percy got the chips.
It wasn't long before everyone started arriving. It was the same crowd as her gender reveal party, and she had to admit; not being able to go to school was kind of killing her. She missed her friends and she missed just being there. She was a little sad that she had to miss her senior year, but she tried not to think about it too much. She was going to make it back for graduation, and she was going to try for prom, although she wasn't sure about that. It all depended on how the birth went.
But she tried not to think about that right now. She was sharing something incredibly important with her closest friends, and that was a good thing.

6:00 pm - Annabeth's living room
"Okay," Annabeth announced. "For the moment you've all been waiting for..." Everyone started to cheer excitedly, making Annabeth laugh.
"You're all probably wondering what this beautifully decorated board is for," Percy said, gesturing to the board Annabeth had made to display the letters:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"I will hand it over to the gorgeous girl standing right over there." He winked at her and she laughed, trying not to blush.
"We have planned a scavenger hunt. There are 18 letters and they're hidden all over the house. Everyone gets to search and find them and whoever finds the most letters will win this large jar of candy," she explained.
"I am so gonna smoke all of you," Thalia said, glancing around and rubbing her hands together.
"Yeah right. I'm gonna wipe the floor with you, Grace," Travis retorted.
"Well I know this house inside out and backwards," Will chimed in.
"Yeah but I've spent way more time here," Jason said.
"Oh please, Sparky," Katie teased, scoffing.
"Yeah I think we can all agree Jason's gonna lose," Thalia said, smirking at her younger brother.
He glared back. "I'm sorry, when did the game become 'Let's All Attack Jason'?" he asked defensively.
Percy and Annabeth snickered before she spoke up. "Alright! We're gonna start. Ready... set... go!"
Everyone scattered in a second, searching under couch cushions and in drawers. The boys all started pushing each other and tripping, at which point Annabeth had to yell, between laughs, "Let's keep it friendly boys!"
All of a sudden, Drew shrieked from the dining room. "I FOUND A LETTER!" She ran back to Annabeth excitedly and showed her.
"Good job, Drew," she laughed.
Annabeth watched, standing next to Percy as her friends ran all over the place, searching for the letters. They laughed seeing all of their friends scramble. Hey, if they got to have fun with the scavenger hunt, then Percy and Annabeth got to have their fun watching them.
And it really was fun.
~*~
"And everyone's back?" Annabeth asked, taking a head count. "Yep. We're good."
"Now we're gonna tally up all the letters and whoever has the most gets that glorious jar of candy. I swear to you I should've been allowed to play," he muttered.
Annabeth laughed. "Aww, I know, Seaweed Brain," she teased. He gave her a playful glare and they laughed.
After they tallied it all up, they found that the person with the most letters was Connor.
"SUCK IT, LOSERS!" he shouted, throwing his fists in the air.
"There should have been second place prizes!" Thalia protested jokingly. Connor beat her out only by one letter.
Annabeth laughed. "Unfortunately, we didn't have the budget for that, Thals."
"Okay, now. The moment you've really all been waiting for," Percy called. Everyone laughed.
"I'm so excited!" Silena clapped her hands happily.
Annabeth was beaming. She was so excited. She began placing the letters in their slots, almost giggling from how happy she was.
Percy grinned over at her. She continued placing her letters in.
"Fin..." Thalia read aloud.
"...hur?" Jason said confusedly. Annabeth chuckled.
Then Katie gasped. "I KNOW WHAT IT IS!" She shouted. Then she realized all eyes were on her. "Sorry," she said a bit shyly. Everyone laughed.
Annabeth was almost finished with the letters and she was finally at the last one. Grinning at Percy, she placed it and stepped away from the board.
F I N N L E Y A R T H U R C H A S E
"I KNEW IT!" Katie shouted again as everyone cheered.
"That's so cute!" Drew cooed.
Annabeth was swarmed with hugs and she laughed. Her father embraced her tightly and smiled down at her.
Then everyone died down a little bit and Annabeth took her chance to explain the name.
"Firstly, I knew that I wanted Arthur, because that was grandpa's name and I was really close to him before he passed away," she said.
"That's right," Frederick agreed, remembering. It was his father who she had named the baby after.
"And then I wanted Finnley because it means 'courageous one.' I've had to have a lot of courage throughout this pregnancy, and I know that my boy is gonna be so strong and brave," she said, chuckling and trying to blink the tears out of her eyes. She rested her hands on her belly.
"Congratulations, Annie," Thalia said, hugging Annabeth one last time. She embraced her best friend and chuckled.
"Thanks, Thals."
"That's an awesome name, Annabeth," Beckendorf said. She thanked him.
"I like it a lot," Nico added. His face remained the same cold slate but, if she wasn't mistaken, there may have been the slightest hint of a smile.
"Is that a smile I see, Death Boy?" Will teased.
"Shut it, Solace," Nico retorted.
Annabeth chuckled slightly and exchanged a glance with Percy. They both knew that their friends had crushes on each other. Percy stood next to Annabeth, his arm around her shoulders and hers around his waist. He placed a kiss on her forehead and she smiled.
"Finnley Arthur," Percy said quietly, placing a hand on her belly. He kicked around in there, and Percy grinned, feeling the little thud.
"You think he likes it?" she asked, grinning.
"He loves it," he assured, kissing her now on the lips.
"And now for the real reason you guys came to this party," Annabeth announced. "The cake!"
"Hey, that's not why we came," Juniper insisted, smiling.
"It's why I came," Travis said, cutting through and walking to the kitchen. Everybody laughed, following behind him.
They all had some cake and they talked and laughed and Annabeth just couldn't be any happier in that moment.

9:45 pm - Annabeth's house
"Are you guys sure you don't need my help?" Annabeth asked as her dad, Percy, and Thalia all finished cleaning up.
"Yeah, we got it, Pumpkin," her dad said, waving her off. She had helped clean up as much as she could but she was exhausted. Although she did feel bad.
"If you don't get up those stairs and into bed, I'm gonna make you wish you had," Thalia threatened, collecting garbage.
She gave Percy a look—you're really sure?
He nodded. "Go get some rest, Wise Girl,"
"Okay," she relented and walked up the stairs, Percy giving her one last wink.
As she put on her pajamas and took off her makeup, Annabeth thought about how lucky she was. She had the best family in all of the world.
Today had gone smoothly, thank god, and she was grateful for that. She checked her phone, seeing that Rachel had sent her a 'congratulations' text. She sent back a heart and smiled to herself. Even the girl who she thought posed as a threat at first was one of the sweetest people she knew.
For the hurricane that it had been, Annabeth was starting to think that her life was smoothing out.
But little did she know that she was only in the eye of the hurricane—there was still storm yet to come.
