Saturday, November 10th
7:20 pm - Aluccino's

"Oh, my gosh, how long have we been waiting?" Annabeth asked, a slight whine to her voice.

"A billion years," he said. They chuckled. The restaurant had the right amount of customers for a Saturday night, but their food was taking forever. They got to the place at around 6:30, ordered 10 minutes later, and here they were 50 minutes later still waiting for their food. You'd think a high-end establishment would have better service.

This was their second date, and Percy decided he wanted to take Annabeth somewhere a little nicer. She was quite excited—just because she got to spend time with Percy. She'd usually be cranky having to wait this long for food, especially now that she was eating for two. She was still a little bit annoyed, but Percy was good at distracting her.

"I have another idea—'I Spy' is getting boring," he said. He pulled a pen from his coat pocket and gave each of them a napkin. "Drawing contest."

Annabeth laughed. "Okay,"

Percy smiled. "Now, I only have one pen so we're taking turns. You can go first," he said, handing her the pen.

"How chivalrous of you." She accepted it graciously as he chuckled. "What's the first item?"

"Uh..." Percy tapped his chin as he thought. Annabeth couldn't help but think how adorable he looked. "Bananas," he decided.

Annabeth laughed. "Bananas?"

"Yeah, why not?" he shrugged.

Annabeth drew her bananas, covering her napkin with her other hand. When she was finished, she turned the paper over and handed the pen to Percy. He took it smugly and wore a proud look when he finished, earning a laugh out of Annabeth.

"On three,"

"One, two, three," the counted and flipped their napkins.

Annabeth burst out laughing. "What... what is that?" she guffawed.

"It's my bananas!" Percy insisted, laughing as well. They got a few glances from people from other tables, but neither of them cared. "Look, Annabeth, not everyone is an expert at drawing fruits," he said with facetious snoot.

Annabeth shook her head, still catching her breath. "Oh my god." They stared at each other for a few more seconds before Annabeth's attention was pulled over Percy shoulder.

"Look, look," she said, tapping Percy's arm and pointing to the waiter walking towards them with a tray of food.

"Oh my god, this could be it." Percy looked on with her in awe. The waiter was getting closer and closer, and Annabeth's mouth watered. It looked like what they had ordered; salmon for Annabeth and steak for Percy.

Finally, the waiter came to their table.

"Yes!" Annabeth couldn't help it. She slapped her hand over her mouth in embarrassment as Percy laughed at her. The waiter placed their plates on the table and walked away. They both dug in right away.

"Ugh, I was so hungry," Annabeth said, eating a piece of broccoli.

"Me too," Percy agreed, eating a piece of steak. "Imagine if the food came and it was bad," he said.

"I would walk out of here right now." Annabeth didn't even look up from her plate.

"Lucky for us it's amazing," Percy said.

"Definitely." She nodded her head, smiling.

1:30 pm - Annabeth's bedroom
16 weeks and 1 day

"Oh god, Thalia. Do I look okay?" Annabeth smoothed out her sweater, examining her outfit in the mirror. She wore a fluffy, rusty-orange colored sweater and a pair of jeans with her black booties and a black scarf.

"Oh my god, yes, can you calm down?" Thalia asked rhetorically.

"It's a little difficult when it's the first time I'm officially meeting Percy's mom." Annabeth sighed. She tried to shake out the tingly, nervous feeling in her fingers.

"Sally's the best—you're gonna love her," Thalia said, absentmindedly scrolling through her phone.

"I know I'm gonna love her," Annabeth said, spritzing herself with perfume. It was one of the few scents she would handle. "But what if she doesn't like me?"

"Annabeth, are you serious?" Thalia finally looked up from her phone. "You're every parent's dream. You're polite, you clean up after yourself—there's literally nothing not to like about you, Annie," Thalia said, coming behind Annabeth in the mirror. They smiled at each other.

"Thanks, Thals." Just then Annabeth checked her watch. "We better start on our way over there or we'll be late."

"But we have like 20 minutes," Thalia pointed out.

"To get everyone out of the house and into the car? That's barely enough time," Annabeth insisted.

"Fair point."

Thursday, November 22nd
2:00 pm - The Blofis-Jackson's

"Hi," Annabeth said, smiling up at Percy. She sighed as they walked inside, Paul—or who she assumed was Paul—taking the pie that they ad brought from her.

"You look great," Percy complimented, taking her coat. He hung it for her and then they quickly hugged, Annabeth thanking him.

She walked further into the house, and Sally walked out of the kitchen. She had seen her in the pictures on the walls, but being in her company in real life was a completely different experience. With her blue eyes and big smile she radiated this motherly warmth that Annabeth hadn't felt in a long time. She was a beautiful woman, and certainly did not look old enough to have a 17-year-old.

"Annabeth!" she exclaimed, pulling Annabeth into a hug. Annabeth was honestly struggling not to cry being in Sally's incredibly maternal presence. It made her miss her own mother so much, but she somehow held the tears in.

"Hi, Mrs. Blofis," Annabeth said.

"Oh, my gosh, please, call me Sally," she said, her hand resting on Annabeth's elbow.

"Alright then," Annabeth chuckled, nodding. Then Sally went to greet everyone else; Thalia, Jason, and Frederick.

Suddenly, Paul came up to Annabeth. "Hi, I'm Paul. Percy's told us all about you," he greeted, shaking her hand and smiling.

Annabeth smiled. She glanced over at Percy to see his pink cheeks and nod to Paul.

"Was I not supposed to say that?" he asked Percy, but the boy just sighed.

Annabeth laughed. "Hi, I've heard about you as well. He talks quite a bit," she said playfully, nodding to Percy who wore a sheepish grin.

"Certainly," Paul agreed. He then went to say hello to everyone else.

"Everyone, make yourselves at home—dinner will be ready in about 15 minutes," Sally announced before disappearing back into the kitchen. Annabeth sat down on the couch and noticed the football game on the television. She knew what was going on—she, Jason, Thalia, Luke, and her father all used to play when they were younger. But she decided to turn to Percy, who sat beside her, instead.

"So, I'm very excited for this dinner," Annabeth pointed out.

"Yeah, my mom goes all out for Thanksgiving, and now that you guys are here? This is gonna be awesome," he explained, making Annabeth chuckled. She could smell the food from the kitchen, and the aroma was unlike anything she had ever smelled before. Her mouth watered at the thought of all the food.

"I thought that maybe after dinner we could play some games," Annabeth suggested. "I mean, it's what we do at Thanksgiving every year."

"That is a great idea, Miss Chase," he said. "Even if it does mean you kick my ass in Scrabble in front of my family."

Annabeth laughed. "I'm gonna kick your ass in every game we play," she retorted, but there was no malice behind it.

"Ooh, Chase is getting cocky." Percy scoffed.

Annabeth smirked despite the butterflies she felt in her stomach. "You got no chance, Seaweed Brain."

"Oh we'll see about that, Wise Girl." Percy raised an eyebrow at Annabeth as she wore her smuggest look. She couldn't help noticing how defined his facial features were; he was like the statue of a Greek god. Annabeth bit her lip to keep from smiling any wider. But it did her no good because they both ended up laughing anyways.

Her father caught the corner of her eye. When she looked at him, he winked. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, although a grin found its way to her lips.

"Everything looks incredible, Sally, thank you so much," Annabeth said, putting her napkin on her lap. Everyone else followed along, thanking Sally for the food. They all dug in, making light conversation.

"So, Annabeth, how is everything going so far?" Sally asked, taking a bite of turkey.

"With what?" she asked, swallowing her broccoli.

"You're pregnancy," Sally said.

Percy put his head in his hands next to her. "I swear, its like you two are tag-teaming me today," he joked.

"Was I not supposed to bring that up?" Sally asked.

"I mean—" Percy started to speak, but Annabeth cut him off.

"No, no, its fine," Annabeth reassured everyone, shaking her head. She placed her hand on Percy's arm, a silent way of telling him to calm down. Everyone at the table seemed to know she was pregnant, so she didn't really mind talking about it. She knew she could trust everyone. And maybe Sally could give her advice. "Everything is going well," she said.

"That's so good to hear. How far along are you?" she continued.

"16 weeks and a day," Annabeth and Percy answered simultaneously. They looked at each other and Percy was probably the same shade of pink that Annabeth was. Thalia chuckled on her other side. Percy must have been keeping up because she hadn't talked to him about it. That thought made her fuzzy in the head. He really cared.

"How big is the baby now?" Jason asked from the other end of the table. "Like on a fruit-scale..." he said, slightly confused. "Isn't it a thing that people compare the size of their babies to fruits?"

"You're such a dumbass," Thalia snickered at her brother. Everyone else laughed.

"The baby is about the size of an avocado, and can even make a fist and suck its thumb," Annabeth said.

"Yeah, they showed us in the ultrasound," Thalia chimed in. "It was so crazy," she chuckled.

Frederick and Sally looked to each other. "It's like when they were on the way,"

"They grow up too fast," her father said. "I'm gonna be a grandpa, now,"

"You don't look it at all, though," Paul added.

"Thank you," Frederick laughed.

"So what do you think of pregnancy?" Sally asked. "I was only 20 when I had Percy, but I was so excited."

Annabeth smiled. "I honestly cannot wait to meet this baby. I always knew that I wanted to be a mother, and this is not really how I imagined it happening," she chuckled. "But I can't be upset. Seeing my little baby in there, it makes it all worth it, you know?"

Sally, smiled at her. "I do," she said, nodding her head. "I'm so happy for you,"

"Thank you,"

"And, really, if you ever need anything or have any questions, never hesitate to call me," she offered.

"Oh thank you so much, I really appreciate that." Annabeth nodded. She glanced over, noticing Percy smiling at her.

"While I love pregnancy as much as the next guy," Thalia piped up, "can we talk about something else?"

"Yeah, I-I'm sorry," Annabeth apologized chuckling.

"I have the best story for all of you," Thalia said, waving her fork and chewing a mouthful of food.

Jason swallowed. "Thalia, I swear if you—"

"This morning," Thaila spoke over her brother. Annabeth knew a show was coming—there always was with these two. "My dear brother Jason,"

"Oh here we go," Frederick sighed.

"Thalia!"

"Was putting on quite a show in the shower. He was a proving the fact that he is a triple threat—he can sing completely off key, dance erratically, and of course, his shampoo mohawk is a... talent on its own," she decided. Annabeth and Percy started laughing. It seemed that Jason had just accepted it and was now sitting with his chin in his hand.

"But at one point," Thalia continued, trying to stop herself from laughing. "He danced just a bit too erratically." She paused, laughing silently to herself. Annabeth was already close to tears just imagining where this story was going.

"Of course, he slipped on the shower curtain, falling, but pulling the curtain rod down with him, and putting a hole in wall," she finished and promptly burst out laughing with Percy and Annabeth. Frederick, Sally, and Paul all snickered, but Sally gasped.

"Well, Jason are you alright?"

"He made it in the door," Percy said, looking to the sulky blonde-haired boy. They were good friends so the teasing was harmless.

"Ha, ha. Everyone make fun of Jason. You're all just mad because I am a triple threat," he joked. That only made everyone laugh harder.

This was already shaping up to be a great Thanksgiving.

Thursday, November 22nd
4:45 pm - Percy's living room

"Oh, an elephant!" Jason screamed. They were playing Pictionary, and of course, they all got a little too excited.

"No, you dipshit!" Somehow, Jason and Thalia had ended up on the same team, which of course meant a lot of bickering between the two. Thalia continued to scribble on the board, the bottom of the hourglass getting fuller.

"Uh, uh," Jason spoke incoherently, looking for a hint from Thalia. She tapped the board frantically. "Oh, a hippo!" he shouted.

"YES!" Thalia capped the marker and threw it down before she and Jason tackled each other in a hug, making everyone laugh. They then sat down. "Alright, Kelp Head," she said. "Your turn."

"Thanks, Pinecone Face," Percy retorted. Annabeth snickered at the two. "Okay," Percy said grabbing the marker. "This is it. We get this point and we win."

"We can do this," Annabeth nodded. Their foreheads were close together like a sports huddle, and it made her laugh. "It's your turn to draw right?"

"Yeah." Percy uncapped his marker, getting ready to draw. He picked up a card and laughed.

"What?" Annabeth asked.

"We got this." He smirked and nodded.

"Alright then," Annabeth said, shrugging. "And go!" She flipped the hourglass timer. Percy began drawing and Annabeth was shouting out whatever popped into her head. Their time was running out and Percy finally stepped back.

"Oh my god, I know what that is!" Annabeth began jumping and pointing to the drawing. It looked so familiar—it was right on the tip of her tongue. It was like all of a sudden her brain malfunctioned and shut down. Percy tapped the board frantically.

"AH! BANANAS!" she screamed, shaking her hands.

"YES!" Percy exclaimed. They laughed and jumped as Thalia and Jason expressed their anger from defeat by throwing all the cards on the floor. Percy picked Annabeth up and spun her around as she squealed. He put her down and she wasn't even embarrassed, she was too high on adrenaline from that stupid game. They smiled at each other and caught their breath.

"Suck it!" Annabeth called to Thalia.

"Say that to my face," Thalia taunted, whipping around. They got all up in each other's faces before bursting out in laughter. After that, they all cleaned up and settled down. Everyone made light conversation before Paul spoke up.

"I just realized we never said what we're all thankful for," he said. Everyone else groaned.

Sally laughed. "No, come on, its tradition. Percy go first."

"Ugh, fine," Percy said, rolling his eyes. There was no real annoyance behind it; everyone knew that boy loved his mother more than anything. "I'm thankful that we all got to spend Thanksgiving together. Its new, but I hope that maybe it can become a tradition...?" he said kind of sheepishly, glancing at Annabeth.

"We would love that," she said, their eyes locked onto the other's. But they weren't talking about Thanksgiving; they were talking about them. It was like Percy was asking for something more serious, and Annabeth wanted something more serious. In that moment, they realized they weren't just dating anymore, and Annabeth couldn't help her smile.

"Definitely," Sally agreed, smiling at Frederick.

Percy then sat down and Annabeth stood up.

"I just want to say that I'm really grateful for all of you. Last Friday was officially my last day of school, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous. This pregnancy feels like its moving crazy fast," Annabeth chuckled. "But if I didn't have you guys, there's no way in hell that I would have been able to do this. So I'm thankful for all of your support," she finished, smiling at everyone. Then she sat down, Percy's arm across her shoulders and her hand in his.

Then Thalia stood up. "I'm thankful that Jason is such a dumbass—its really quality entertainment," she joked. Jason swatted her leg from where he sat and Percy and Annabeth laughed. "But seriously I'm really grateful that Sally and Frederick let me and Jason over all the time. Our family biological family is kinda shitty, but this one isn't. Not by a long shot. So thank you guys," Thalia finished, smiling.

"Of course. You guys are like my other kids," Frederick laughed.

"Exactly," Sally agreed.

Jason stood up. "I'm thankful for you guys too. Our lives would've been a lot worse without you guys in them."

"We love you guys," Percy added.

The parents went around as well, saying what they were thankful for and it was a good night overall. Annabeth really was so happy that she was lucky enough to be surrounded by nothing but support from her family and friends. She thought about that every single day. It was really important to count your blessings.

Thursday, November 22nd
10:50 pm - The Blofis-Jackson apartment

"Thank you so much for having us," Frederick thanked Sally and Paul as they walked out.

"I'll meet you guys in the car," Annabeth called to the others. She wanted to say goodbye to Percy. She noticed he had the same idea. She stood in the doorway, and they just looked at each other for a few seconds.

"I had a lot of fun tonight, Chase. I'm really glad you guys came." Percy smiled at her.

"Me too," she agreed. "So, about before..."

"Yeah," Percy breathed, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. Annabeth tried to ignore how hot he looked when he did that. "That was just—"

"I want that too," she cut him off. He looked at her with wide eyes, making her chuckle.

"Really?"

"Yeah," she said, smiling at him. They stayed that way for what felt like forever, but Annabeth didn't mind. She could just stare at him forever and never get tired of it. Suddenly, they were leaning closer to each other, slowly but surely. Before she knew it, they were close enough that Annabeth could feel his breath on her cheeks. She had to be honest; she wanted him so badly. He glanced down at her lips and she did the same. "So are you gonna kiss me, or what?" she whispered.

Percy's lips quirked up into a smirk. "No I think I'm just gonna stay exactly like this," he teased.

"Fine then," Annabeth breathed back. "I'll do it." Then she grabbed his shirt and pulled his lips to her own. When they connected it was like fire crackers going off along her spine, and the sparks flew from her toes to her fingers. Her head felt a little fuzzy, but the good kind of fuzzy.

After a few moments, they pulled away. They each took a deep breath, and Annabeth was still trying to figure out how she had just found the courage to do that.

"Can we do that again?" Percy asked.

"No." Then he cupped her face and kissed her again, knowing she was joking. Annabeth reached up, running her fingers through the little silky strands of hair at the nape of his neck.

Best Thanksgiving ever.
