Damian POV

I was walking down the seemingly endless corridors behind the scenes when the phone rang in my pocket. When I saw who it was, a grin immediately appeared on my face.

"Hey, my beautiful Feliz. How's my family? Where are you?" I asked.

"Hi handsome. We've parked the car and are on our way to the entrance now. Any chance you can meet us?" she told me.

She sounded so tired. It was no surprise as our little man was going through a sleep regression. It was normal, but that didn't make it any less exhausting. Especially when I wasn't home to help. And then there was the fact that he had a mild cold.

So it was good that we had a show so close to home today and we could all drive back together later. I quickly made my way to the exit. It wasn't long before I saw my family. Feliz gave me an exhausted smile while a glance into the baby stroller showed me that Camilo now seemed to be fast asleep.

"Hey... I missed you... Now he's asleep, huh?" I chuckled softly as I pulled my wife tightly into my arms.

Vanessa wrapped her arms tightly around my neck and sighed as she relaxed noticeably.

"Hey... you can't imagine how much I've missed you. And of course he's asleep now... I'm sure the night will be fun again. But I'll take it as long as he gets any rest at all." she replied, cuddling up to me.

I gave her a kiss on the forehead. To my amazement, I realized that she felt quite warm. I lifted my hand and felt her with it to make sure.

"Feliz... you've got a fever," I said.

"I know. Camilo gave me his cold. All because of the mother who couldn't stay at home with her little snotty nose. I mean, who does that? Going to a mommy-baby group when the little one isn't feeling well? We're not the only ones either. I've been texting with the others. The cold is going through the whole group now." she replied, slightly angry.

I could understand that. It really hadn't been very responsible of the mom. Especially as the babies were all still so small.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of everything tonight. You can relax. A warm bubble bath always helps." I said and gave her a kiss.

She tried to object, of course, but to be honest I didn't really care if I got sick or not. It would be worth it in any case.

"Vanessa! Oh hi girl! We haven't seen you for so long. Oh how's our chubby little champion?" we heard Becky call out as she came running up and hugged Vanessa tightly.

"Hey, is that any way to greet me after months? And who are you calling chubby? Wait until I can drag you back into the ring and kick your ass." Feliz replied with a growl.

"Ness... take it easy. I meant the baby. You know I love you, so take a deep breath." Becky said with her hands up.

"Oh... Sorry... It's just the lack of sleep and I'm getting a cold. I didn't mean it like that." she mumbled, her face turning bright red.

Just then, the little man woke up. I carefully took him in my arms. I didn't know what she meant by chubby. He was perfect in my eyes. Sure, he had put on weight, but that didn't mean he wasn't the best-looking baby in the world. And I didn't care that I was perhaps a little biased.

"It's okay. I know how you feel." Becky laughed.

"Oh! My! God! It's about time! Hi Mr. Camilo! How's my buddy? Come to Rhea. Hand the baby over, Padre Priest." Rhea suddenly said from out of nowhere and held out her hands, waiting more or less patiently for me to hand Camilo over to her.

"This joke is getting old." I said before giving Camilo a kiss on the cheek before I gave it to her.

"But it's a good one." she defended herself.

"Oh, that reminds me. Happy anniversary, guys!" she said a few minutes later.

"Wait what?" Feliz asked, just as confused as I was.

"Have you forgotten what date today is? A year ago yesterday we were in Vegas partying and we all know what happened that night. Don't we, little man? Mommy and Daddy are so forgetful. You'd think they had too much to drink again," Rhea replied, adding the last part in baby talk to Camilo.

"Holy shit, she's right." Vanessa then squeaked.

"Hey language. I always get in trouble." I laughed.

"Sorry. I.. We totally forgot about that. Now I feel bad." she replied, burying her face against my chest.

"I forgot too so you don't have to feel bad." I said as I rubbed her back.

"We suck." she mumbled disappointedly.

"We still have time to salvage this. Don't worry about it. I'll figure something out. You get some rest and I'll organize us a nice date at home. Not the end of the world, okay?" I replied before pressing a kiss to her hair.

"Okay... You're the best." she said as she lifted her head and smiled at me.

I leaned down and gave her another proper kiss.

"Camilo, want to bet they make you a sibling today?" Rhea asked the baby in a whisper.

"Not going to happen..." said Vanessa.

"Yeah, you didn't think it would happen with him either." Rhea laughed and placed Camilo in his mommy's arms.
