For Jungkook, clubs weren't his hangout space. His hangout space was his room where he could sleep, eat, play video games and search the internet on his phone.
His friends had to drag him out of his room in order for him to go with them tonight. The lights were dimmed and the boy had spent a long time sitting by the bar.
"Come on, live a little! Have fun for once. Dance with a girl, have a beer, just do something." his best friend Taehyung joked as he hit lightly his shoulder.
Jungkook glared at him, "Your definition of fun is partying. My definition of fun is staying at our dorm."
"All by yourself while the six of us go out. You're in your twenties, this is the time to do something different," his friend responded, "come on, Kook."
Taehyung nudged his shoulder and motioned to the dance floor.
"Fine. I'll dance just one song!" he responded and his friend started smiling bigger.
"Finally!" Taehyung cheered as they began walking toward the dance floor.
The two boys began dancing crazily before their other roommates joined in too. Jungkook began jumping crazily, not caring for what other people thought.
The upbeat songs later changed to slower songs and Jungkook groaned. He was about to leave before a hand touched his shoulder.
Thinking it was one of his hyungs he shrugged it off, "I'm not dancing anymore, I don't like slow songs."
"Well, it's a shame because I really wanted to dance with you." a gentle voice startled him.
He turned around abruptly and a beautiful girl was smiling at him. Is this real? Is he really seeing such a beautiful human being with his own eyes?
Did she just speak to him?
"Jungkook, right?" she asked as she grinned.
She stunned him, his heart stopped, his breath hitched; he did not realize that he was falling in love for the first time in his life.
He nodded, no words were exchanged.
He could hardly breath.
"We went to middle school together, I don't know if you remember me." The girl continued.
"I–I don't, I'm sorry." he stuttered.
She sighed and nodded, "It's okay, it's been a few years since we saw each other."
The boy stood silent, bodies bumped against his back as the others were dancing.
"Would you like to dance, Jungkook?" The girl asked.
He was speechless, he just nodded once more before the girl began placing his hands on her waist and her hands on his shoulders.
How can someone be so stunning?
They began moving slowly, effortlessly forgetting completely about the other people in the room. It was just her and him.
"I was the girl that used to sit behind you during history." she began speaking.
He tried to look for anything inside his mind that could remind him of her, but, let's face it, he was still shaken up by her.
Her presence, her eyes, her body; her lips.
Oh gosh, this was the first time he ever felt like this. The first time he ever wanted to just kiss someone for the rest of his life.
She began stroking the end of his hair with her fingers, slowly, "I watched you instead, I never payed attention to the teacher." she chuckled.
He furrowed his eyebrows, did he just hear the girl say that she watched him? How could he not notice her stares back in the day?
A beautiful girl like her, staring just staring at him.
"You watched me?" he mumbled.
She nodded, "You never noticed, I always hid myself even before you turned away," she shook her head, "silly right?"
He shook his head, "I used to watch this girl too, but I don't know where she went."
"What was she like?" the girl asked.
Jungkook chuckled, "Like any other girl but she made my heart go crazy," he paused and watched Taehyung waving at him while mimicking something like 'live a little!', "but mine was just a silly middle school crush."
The girl smiled.
Instantly, she took his hand from her waist and pressed it to her heart.
His palms were sweating, his mind was going crazy.
"Like this? Did your heart beat like this for her?" she asked as she intertwined her hand with his on her chest where her heart was beating.
"Y–yeah." his voice wavered.
She stepped closer to him until their noses where touching.
"Well. My heart still beats like this for you, even after all these years." she whispered.
Ragged breaths left his mouth as he left it open, was this real?
Should he kiss her? Should he run away like he always did?
Live a little.
And so he did, he lived a little like Taehyung told him.
He pulled her closer by the waist before taking a deep breath. Their lips met in an instant. Her lips tasted like vodka and cherry.
At first he just kissed her, but then she but his bottom lip asking for entrance. He gave her access. Their lips were red from the passion that they shared in that unforgettable kiss.
They separated slowly. He didn't want to forget the feeling of her soft lips.
Both foreheads were pressed against each other as both adults smiled.
"Woah." Jungkook mumbled.
The girl giggled, "Yeah, woah." she was cutting their distance before she was being pulled away.
"What?" she asked as a boy who Jungkook had no idea who it was looked at her worryingly.
"Yuna is drunk, we need to take her home." the boy responded.
"I'll be there in a second, just make sure she doesn't go crazy like last time." she responded.
The beautiful girl he had just kissed sighed before looking at him, "Can I have your number, Jungkook?"
Jungkook nodded before reciting his number perfectly.
"I'll text you tonight." she reassured before turning to leave.
He wanted to ask for her name, he should ask for her name.
He jogged up to her before stopping as she touched her shoulder, "Wait!"
The girl turned to him with a confused expression, "What happened, why are you–"
"What's your name?" he asked as he tried to regain his posture.
She smiled, "Areum, Lee Areum."
There, he knew the name of girl who stole his breath away with her beauty.
He had fallen in love with Lee Areum.
