Annabeth POV

Percy leaned in. I did as well. I could feel his warm breath. Our lips met and I could feel his super soft lips. We moved in sync and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Applause roared around us I smiled. We pulled away and smiled at each other. Suddenly someone pushed Percy aside.

"Hey Annabeth!" Luke said. Percy got up and glared at him.

"What the hades, man?" Percy said angrily. Luke looked at him innocently and said,

"Sorry, mate. I thought you were someone else. I didn't want my-um, 'your' girl getting hurt." he said, saying 'your' like it was some kind of disease.

Percy seemed oblivious to his attitude, so he shrugged it off, saying that accidents happen.

But I saw the look in Luke's eyes. He didn't seem- no scratch that. He WASN'T sorry at all, which confused me. At first, he didn't seem that bad.

Anyway, I shrugged it off but I kept it in mind, just in case.

All of a sudden, a familiar looking boy came forward and whispered something to Percy.

"Later." Percy muttered. I recognized him as Jason. He nodded at me, and ran off somewhere.

Percy POV

"What was that all about?" Annabeth asked, her perfect eyebrows raised.

I waved it off. "Oh that? Jason just wanted me to know that...... we shouldn't leave because the party is just starting!" I exclaimed, letting out a nervous laugh.

Annabeth eyed me, but then shrugged. I hated lying to her, by you gotta do what you gotta do. And I didn't want her knowing the surprise.

"So," Annabeth said snapping me out of my thoughts. "When is surprise number three? You promised that it would be today, remember?" She questioned.

"Oh don't worry. That's wayyy later." I said, exaggerating the 'way'. I was silently praying that she would drop the subject.

Well well well, what do you know. God answered my prayer.

"Okay. OMG there's ice-cream! Can we have some? PWEASE?!" she asked, pulling her begging face which was so adorable.

"Okay fine." I said. She pulled my arm all the way to the where the ice-cream was and I paid for it.

Well, I paid for it after we fought over who got to pay.

"Don't you look beautiful tonight." the dude selling the ice-cream said, winking at Annabeth.

I gritted my teeth.

She frowned at him and said, her voice full of arrogance,"We would like two Rocky Roads please."

I almost cried. She remembered my favourite flavour!

Flashback
Which ice-cream would you like, Seaweed-Brain?" Annabeth asked me.

"I adore Rocky Road!" I squealed, jumping with excitement. She laughed and rolled her eyes.

She decided to try Rocky Road so then she paid for our ice-cream (after our debate over who got to pay.)

"Try it, try it!" I urged her.

"Okay, okay calm down." she said, laughing. "Here it goes..." she said.

She had a lick and she moaned. (A/N don't even go there, dirty ppl. 😏😑)

"It's so good!" She exclaimed. I laughed since she had gotten it all over her nose. She narrowed her eyes and you can guess what happened.

Let's just say, our camp director, Chiron, wasn't happy to see us, covered in ice-cream.

End of Flashback

She smiled at my gaping mouth, knowingly. We took out ice-cream and decided to take a stroll at the park, nearby.

We heard birds chirping and the wind hummed, like they were playing a romantic melody just for us.

Just then, a hand grabbed me. I yelped and Annabeth screamed. I turned to face the person but they had a strong grip and they wouldn't let me turn around.

"PERCY! DON'T WORRY! I WILL FIND YOU!" Annabeth promised as this mysterious person pushed her to the ground and urged me into his or her car.

The person took of their wig and I was surprised (although I don't know why) to see Hannah.

"So Percy. Now that the little demon is away, we'll have some fun, shall we?" She asked batting her eyelashes.

"No, we shall not." I growled. She threw her head back and laughed.

Then, she looked me in the eye, slapped me across the face and said, "Oh yes. We. Will."

Then, she tied me to her seat, although it took a while since I was squirming against her grip, and drove off.

Annabeth POV

The hideous monster pushed me to the ground and took Percy somewhere.

When I got up, I was all alone in the park. I got up and checked if anything was broken. The monster was strong.

Luckily, all my bones were in place. I looked around hoping I'd find a clue to where Percy might be.

Since we were at the park, we were standing in sand. I saw footprints of what looked like heels, and a long line stretched across the ground.

I guessed that the monster was a female, and that the long line must've been Percy, since he was being dragged. 

I followed the trail to a parking lot. As soon as I got there, I saw a red car leave the parking lot. I quickly took out a piece of paper and a pen (that I keep in my purse) and wrote down the license plate.

I saw Hannah in the driver's seat.

I ran back to the party and called Leo, since he knew Percy and since he was the closest to me.

"LEO!" I screamed. His eyes widened as he made his way to me.

"What happened?" he asked.

I quickly explained what had happened and his mouth dropped lower and lower as I continued.

"Wow. Good thing you got her license plate. Should we call the police and wait until they find them? Or should we go and find them ourselves?" Leo asked.

"Both." I said. "We can call the police and then we can look too. That way, there's more people looking for them so we have a better chance of finding them." I explained.

"Ingenious! I can't believe that I didn't think of that!" Leo said 

I laughed and we told everyone else what was going on. Piper called the police and they came quickly.

"Miss, can you please tell us where this took place?" a policeman asked.

"Sure." I replied. I led him and the other police to the park. I explained how I saw the car leaving.

"Did you actually see Mr. Jackson in the car?" He asked.

"No, sir, but that was where the footprints led to." I said, trying to control my temper.

This dude actually had the nerve to think that I was wrong about a situation like this?!

He studied me for a moment, like I was some poster, then he said,"Thank you, Miss. Chase. Now, we must search on our own."

I hid the fact that there was no way that I wasn't part of this hunt. I was never fond of the Easter Bunny Egg Hunt, but Percy needed my help.

"Yes, sir. And thank you again." I said. He nodded and left.

"Soooo, where do we start?" Percy's friend Frank asked.

I asked if one of them brought their car. Jason had. I told them the direction that Hannah's car went.

Jason, Leo, Piper, Frank and I went into Jason's car. Frank noticed that there was a lot of mud on Hannah's tires, so there were marks on the road.

I sighed. This was going to be a long journey.

Percy POV

Hannah took out a knife. "Now, every time you don't do what I want you to, this happens." she said.

She took the knife and skinned my arm. I yelped in pain as it started to bleed. She smirked.

"So, Percy, sit down and make yourself comfortable. You'll be staying here for a while." she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

I gulped and sat down in the couch.
She winked at me and went upstairs. I did the most typical thing when she went.

I tried to escape.

I saw the door was open, but I knew that there had to be a catch. I mean, there is no way Hannah would just let me escape like that.

I turned around and saw a window. I checked to make sure it wasn't locked.

Then, it was the hard part of the plan. I had to find out where Hannah was, what she was doing, and how long I had to escape.

I tiptoed up the stairs. I heard singing and I followed the sound to the bathroom. I knew it was the bathroom, because there was a big sign that said "Bathroom" on the door.

I heard water turn on so I guessed that she was taking a shower or something. I scurried back, down the stairs and lifted the window. I made one last check to make sure that this wasn't any trap.

Then I jumped and landed in her backyard. I waited for three seconds and nothing happened. Then, I climbed over the fence, to her neighbour's backyard.

Once I got in, I walked out of his or her property before anyone saw me. I saw a restaurant around the corner, so I decided to go there.

I plopped down on the seat and took out my phone. I looked on Maps for the shortest way to get back together the party.

"Ahem." I heard. I looked up and I saw a waitress standing in front of me.

"Are you going to order something, baby?" she asked in a strange voice that I recognized as flirty. What the heck?

"Um, no thank you. I just came here to...uh...have a break from my life?" I said/unintentionally asked.

She smiled at me and walked away, swaying her hips madly. I figured that there were ants in her pants. What other reason could there be behind her outbreak of hip-dancing. Wait, is that even a thing?

Sorry, got ADHD so got off topic.

Anyways, I found the shortest route to the party so I decided to set off. The only problem was, it was too far for me to walk.

Then, I got a genius idea.

I walked over to Miss. Hip-Dancer and asked her in a sweet voice,"Hi. I'm going somewhere. Do you mind if I borrow your car...sweetie?" I choked out the last part.

Her eyes widened in realization. Then, she winked and said,"I knew that you'd come around sooner or later."

I know I shouldn't take advantage of people, but this was an emergency.

I followed her to her car. It was dark blue with those eyelash things on the headlights.

She handed me her keys and I thanked her. She winked at me (for the millionth and last time) and walked away, while breaking out into the crazy hip-dancing.

I started the car and drove off. While I was driving I saw a familiar red car.

'Shit' I thought. It was Hannah. Since it was red light, I looked around for stuff. I put on Miss. Hip-Dancer's girly sunglasses. I also put on her girly hat.

For a final touch, I took a pen and drew myself some tattoos. Then it was green light. Unfortunately, Hannah was going in the same direction that I was going.

So I did the smartest thing. I spotted a McDonalds. I pulled into the parking lot and waited. And waited. And waited.

Finally, I saw Hannah's red car heading back, towards her house. I backed out of the parking lot and I headed towards the party place.

Annabeth POV

It had been half an hour and we were still on Hannah's trail. We stopped at Burger King to eat. The we continued our search.

We arrived at her house. Well, we assumed it was her house. We saw the same red car.

I peeked inside. I saw Hannah. She seemed to be looking for something. Or someone. I saw that the window was slightly open.

I opened it wider and paid more attention to what she was saying.

"Percy? You can't hide from me, babe! And if you wanted to play hide and seek, you should have just said so."

I stifled a laugh. If this was her plan for finding Percy, there would be a better chance that pigs would start flying before she found him.

"Percy must've escaped." I whispered to Piper. If I knew anything about Percy, I would know that he probably left by now.

Piper nodded. We walked back to the others.

"What do we do now?" Leo asked. I sighed.

"Well, if Percy left here, he'd probably go to back to the party so let's go back and wait. Besides, the police are still searching, remember?" I said, trying to sound optimistic.

They nodded in agreement and they headed to Jason's car. Piper placed her hand in mine and said,

"We'll find Percy, I promise. Don't worry." I smiled at her and thanked her for being her positive self.

Annabeth POV (still)

I fell asleep in the car. I was woken up by Frank. He had a weird way of waking people up.

He pokes you. 

That's right; I waked up being poked on. I yawned and got up. I didn't see Frank, so I stretched and accidentally punched him in the face.

"Oh my gosh...I'm so sorry." I apologized. He waved it off.

I got out of the car and I found Percy there. I ran to him and hugged him.

"When...what...how did you get here?" I asked not able to find words. He briefly told me how he had, and I gotta say, I was impressed at his cleverness.

"Well I'm just glad that you're alright." I said, smiling.

He gave me a quick peck on the cheek and walked towards the others, since they were buzzing with questions.

Percy POV

It was almost time for the third surprise. I saw Annabeth talking to Piper and Hazel. Perfect.

I walked over to my bros and told them that it was time. Jason winked at me, Frank wished me good luck, and Leo started...how can I explain... acting like a maniac on drugs.

Anyway, I nervously walked over to my girl and cleared my throat, "Ahem."

She looked at me and smiled. She was about to say something but then, I got down on one knee and took out my gift.

She gasped. I opened it and she gushed about how pretty it looked. I heard 'clicks' and I saw flashes but I didn't mind.

I got up and she lifted up her hair as I put the necklace on her.

"It's perfect." she whispered.

Then, she leaned in and let's just say, that it was the Best. Kiss. Ever!
