chapter 11
Chapter 11
The two cousins had stayed in their room the entire time that Nero was there. THey weren't sure if they would be able to sense the two girls but they hoped their acting was good enough in school to avoid suspicion. They were sure that someone had eavesdropped on their conversation at the Jewlson residence, but surely then that would make the two of them more valuable than their grandmother? Or at least , somewhat desirable. They knew about as much as the twins did. After all they had the bedtime stories of dimensions and fae through the many years growing up.
They were listening in on the conversation but they couldn't hear a lot from Nero's side of the conversation. Dawn didn't have the best hearing and so she was rather loud in her tone. Though apparently she was able to hear Nero without any issues. This slightly bugged Eden but she quickly shook it off as a piece of information which isn't important.
"What could I possibly be able to do to assist you?" Dawn was still acting somewhat oblivious to the fact that she had information on the fae, well the fact that they were after that information. "Dear I barely know your second name!" Dawn gave a chuckle. It was true she knew nothing about Alex, she didn't know their second name.
"Oh but you see...dear" The tone which Nero used was patronising. It was sickly sweet and it made Dawn shiver. "You seem to be able to help the others. I am assuming you will also be able to help me." Dawn furrowed her eyebrows once again. She was keeping up the act as good as she could.
"I'm sorry but i don't-" In a swift motion she was in the arms of Osca. He began to carry her unconscious body to where the van was. They had went back and got the atrocious campervan. They hoped that nobody was watching out of their windows, it would have looked rather odd for him to be carrying a lady like that to a rather ugly van.
The visit was short and simple. Eden had to hold Devin back from going after the van. The two of them knew where they had to go. Though they didn't know where their grandmother was being taken and that terrified them. What if they hurt or killed her? The fact that she was needed for information was not a comforting one. What if they got the answers that they were after then killed her? Or what if they hurt her in order to get the answers?
The two of them were sat texting Tyrell until they knew that the coast was clear. Then they made plans to go and see the group, to figure something out. To figure out some way to get dawn back. They didn't talk about important information over text, just in case someone was able to look at what was being said. They were scared and they wanted the comfort of their grandmother but that wouldn't be possible.
They waited a few moments before leaving their room completely. They were tempted to go into their grandmother's room, just in case she had anything lying around which could be of use to them but reason told them that they could always come back, they had to go somewhere which was safer than Dawn's home. They didn't know why Nero hadn't asked them about anything unusual, that is if they suspected their grandmother had something important, which they clearly did.
So they quickly exited their house, surprised to see a taxi in front of their door with Addamak in the front. "Hop on in." He told the two of them, they wondered who else was in the car. Surely he didn't leave the others by themselves? They didn't have to wonder for long since opening the taxi door revealed their answer.
Everyone was there, the taxi somewhat seemed to be bigger on the inside. "I-how?" Devin asked, awestruck. She didn't have to finish her question as the fae in the taxi raised their hands with proud smiles. It didn't take much of their energy to create because the taxi already existed, it just needed a modification or two. "Excellent."
The two of them immediately sat down after their moment of shock. They were heading towards the place. It seemed like a safe option.'so we think we know where they took Dawn." Kelso said plainly and bounty, in a way to comfort the two but to not give too much away if anyone was actually listening to them.
Eden gave a sigh of relief. It answered one question which then left about three more in its place. There were so many questions to ask but she held her tongue. She was sure her cousin would ask them all once they got to where they were supposed to be. They seemed to be taking a detour, not going straight to the woods. As far as they knew; Nero did not know exactly what the place was for, they were not sure if Nero could have read or known about the riddles. They just hoped that the dark fae was clueless.
"Right, good that's good" Devin muttered and looked around, there were people she didn't know in the taxi and she wasn't sure if they were going to introduce themselves or not. "I'm Devin. This is Eden." she waved and then gestured to her cousin, who gave a small wave but continued to look out of the window.
After awkward introductions and an even more awkward taxi ride they had arrived at the end of the forest. The cousins still felt a little bit guilty for the memories that they had with the twins and their significant others in the forest now they know what kind of people the group were. It didnt really make them feel any better.
"This place seems to be the supernatural hangout." Tyrell mumbled to himself but Kelso heard and chuckled, she nodded along to what he had said.
"Yes it seems that whenever something happens it is in a forest, or a place surrounded by trees." She had the mansion in mind but the same could also be said for Addamak's small cabin in the fae dimension.
"Trees are our friends." Sylvester reminded with a smile.Usually he would have been too shy to say something like that. He knew that humans couldn't get close to the relationship that he had with nature and plants, even animals. He knew that the fae were usually even further away than the humans were. He felt rather comfortable with those who were surrounding him, and the trees helped.
"Lets hope that they stay that way." Vansilla's comment was good-natured but it held a lot of truth to it. Trees and nature are valuable friends, but terrible enemies.
