Ladies, gentlemen, non-binary fellows, and other insane beings welcome to one of my biggest endeavors yet; 'Breaking the Beast'! I feel like I say this every time I sit down to write a new fic but everything I'm trying to achieve just gets bigger and bigger. For new readers, if you wish, you may skip this and go straight to the chapters, this is mainly for those who want to jump into this with a bit of background knowledge. The current chapter order is 16 though an extra 17th entailing some missing information may be added as a "chapter 1.2" if you will. I've added trigger warnings next to each chapter so if you don't want to read certain things you don't have to though you may miss important parts of the story. Each chapter has mild to moderate swearing and is about 1k words to 4k words in length. The story in total is just over 30k words and setting aside an hour or so to read it fully is recommended. Quackity if your reading this on stream I'd highly recommend you make sure none of this is breaking Twitch's TOS because you being banned is the last thing I'd want. Thank you ^-^

7. The Death of MrBeast - Part 3 ~ Something Horrible - Quackity finally makes a proper introduction and is there for the rest of the book (yay), epic chase scene, homelessness, more hypothermia

8. This Remedy - Character finally starts healing from said hypothermia, some wholesome cuddles at the end ^o^

9. The Devil's After Both of Us - Brief nightmare scene, oh no arguments

10. 'Trust Me' Is a Hypocritical Statement - A character gets injured, brief panic attack with comfort

11. S.O.S ~ Source of Savagery - Epic chase scene, lead up to battle

13. Is Life and Death Still All That We Know? - Mentions of off-screen character death, cardiac arrest, bullet wounds, and near-death experiences

Inspiration

Not too long ago, I started to really enjoy Mr. Beast's videos. I grew curious about what sort of fans he had after he acknowledged the fact he knows about fanfiction. so I looked around. All of them are crappy romance books! I quickly realized there was no angst so I was like 'No angst... iN a YoUtUbE fAnBaSe? wE cAnT bE hAviNG tHiS-' so I started drafting Breaking the Beast. It started as a side project that I could focus on once I finished Fear and Loathing in the Nine-Nine which many people were enjoying and seeking to see complete but I stuck with this. I wrote chapter 1 and within 10 minutes of it being published, I already got a reader commenting on it. I got someone to make a cover and I fleshed out the plot idea. I'll probably regret this when I'm older but if I as well as the readers from both Ao3 and Wattpad think it was well-written, I might send it as fan mail to Mr. Beast. Sometimes fanmail can act as an entry into one of their contests so if another one opens with that being the case and this actually hAlF dEcEnT, I might send it in. 

Fun fact: The original idea was a Stockholm Syndrome based story where T-Series kidnaps MrBeast and through manipulation and conditioning, MrBeast falls in love with T-Series and it turns from a dark, twisted story to a light-hearted romantic comedy to reflect the changes in MrBeast's mind. The chapters would become a lot darker when in T-Series or PewDiePie's POV (one continuing the manipulation and the latter trying to save him.) I thought the concept was a bit too creepy for a fic with REAL PEOPLE so I decided against it but similar aspects may be recycled at some point.
