Christmas shopping had drained me the past week. There was something extremely unappealing about trudging around the mall with Mona, searching high and low for good bargains and then coming home empty handed after six gruelling hours. Finally, on our fifth trip I settled on a Blu-ray player for Blake, a curling wand for Mona, sweaters for both sets of my grandparents and numerous toys for my distant cousins. Finding Mom a gift wasn't too hard either, I just splashed out on three heels and enough Mac makeup to sustain her through an apocalypse. But when it came to Tyler, I struggled to find a gift that was thoughtful and meaningful.

What do I get for a guy who could afford everything?

Three days before Mom and I were set to board a flight across the country to visit her parents, I sloped around the mall by myself and came home empty handed once again. Frustrated, I paced my bedroom and glanced at the clock, realising that Tyler was due to be at my house in a couple of hours for our second date. After our epic first date, I thought it would be a good idea to tone it down and just stick to movies and a takeout which Tyler seemed pleased with. If there was food involved, he could never be displeased.

I pulled my silver valuables box from under my bed and tipped all my prized possessions onto my bed, sieving through the small items my best friend left for me in her will: her diaries, sketchbooks, expensive jewellery and a thick wad of letters tied with a red ribbon; two opened and the rest unopened.

A month before she passed away, Taylor wrote over eighty letters for me - one for each year of my life - that I was to open every Christmas morning. She initially proposed that I read them on my birthday but we both agreed that my birthday was already contaminated with enough grief.

It was the most thoughtful way we could part ways; I got to reconnect with her for the five minutes it took me to read the letter, and that was probably the reason why I enjoyed this holiday so much. I guess this was what helped me move on with my life so quickly after her death as opposed to Tyler because I was certain he opened all his letters before their designated time. Neither did he get as many as I did; probably ten at most.

There were envelopes of all different colours but there was a smaller wad of golden ones that she put aside, demanding that I give it to The One. They were labelled: 'First Love', 'Mr And Mrs Ashley Martin, 'Name Your First Kid After Me Or Else!' and the other titles were a bit more ridiculous and inappropriate.

When she first proposed the idea of these golden letters, I genuinely thought she was joking and laughed right in her face. But right now I think it's remarkably beautiful that she wanted to give the part of her inside me away to the one guy who will come to mean so much to me. It reminded me of the way a father would walk his daughter down the aisle before he gives her away to the man of her dreams. Maybe she was taking her protective best friend role a bit too seriously but growing up fatherless made me mature faster than any normal teenager and she just wanted me to take a backseat and enjoy the life she could never have.

Picking up the metallic, golden envelope that was most suited for Tyler, I turned it over in my hand and traced the cursive writing. It was dated, signed and titled 'First Love'.

I knew it was too soon to give him the letter but I really couldn't think of a better gift to give him. This was a part of me and a part of his sister so I really hoped it would be enough. And even if my best friend refused to accept that her twin was my first love, he was and always would be.

**

The doorbell rang thrice before I opened the door to my drool-worthy boyfriend. Behind him, the entire world was a silent blanket of white - completely still with the exception of the low whistle of the wind.

"Whoa, you look...you look uh..." I trailed off as he stepped inside from the cold.

My eyes drank in the sight of his freshly trimmed golden hair and dancing eyes. The hairstyle was the same; boyishly long and gleaming but instead of hair covering his forehead, Tyler slicked everything back into a crown of gold that was dusted with white snowflakes from the falling snow outside.

His eyes were different too. They were complimented by the turquoise flannel shirt he wore. Pair that with his duffel jacket, burgundy scarf and his disarming grin and I was swooning already.

"Amazing? Sexy? Wait...I've got it: is it hot?" He flashed me a seductive wink that only made it that much harder to breath.

The only way I could compose myself was to look away and even that took a significant amount of effort. Rolling my eyes, I jumped away from his outstretched arms.

"What? No hug?"

I drank in the sight of his flushed cheeks, pink nose and bright eyes, almost dying when they landed on his rosy lips. The cold had made them more red and it took everything in me not to kiss him right then and there.

"You just came in from the cold," I shuddered as I jumped away from his outstetched arms again.

"Aww come on, I just want to hug my girlfriend."

I grinned wistfully at the term 'girlfriend', causing me the momentarily forget that Tyler was stumbling towards me with outstretched arms. Suddenly, I was crushed into his ice cold chest, having my hair ruffled like a puppy.

"Let me go or el-- Oof!" I managed to choke as his hold tightened before he released me.

Pulling away, I shuddered violently as my body argued against the sudden cold. Shoving Tyler to the side, I slammed the front door shut and rubbed my bare arms before smacking him upside the head and making his eyes widen in shock.

"What was that for?" He cried using one hand to rub the sore spot whilst the other glided through his golden crown of his slicked back hair making me sigh in awe.

"That...was for crushing me," I grunted as I mentally lectured the eager girl in my mind to pull herself together.

Receiving an eye roll in response, Tyler shrugged off his jacket and unravelled his burgundy scarf before kicking off his matching chucks. I chuckled at his fluffy socks.

"Dinosaur printed socks again? What are you? In kindergarten?" I teased.

"I just wanted to impress you," He said in a small voice, placing a hand over his chest and giving me a wounded look. "Gee Ash! I spent hours and hours and hours picking the right socks to wear!"

"I'll bet you ten bucks they were the only matching pair you could find."

His lips twitched and I laughed.

"Okay fine, you got me," Tyler confessed sheepishly, wriggling his snug feet.

"Dumbass," I scoffed before brightening up. "Anyway, how was Taylor?"

He flashed me a dazzling wink before going into an animated recollection about his visit to see his sister. I tried my hardest to concentrate on what he was saying but my eyes were glued to his full lips, watching how they moved with every letter that formed as he spoke. It was only when he casually slung his arm around my shoulder and pulled me to his chest again that I realised he had been speaking for a while.

"Mrs Henderson mentioned your dad to today. I had no idea that she knows him since he's never in town."

My heart leapt to my throat and I froze, pulling away from his tight hold.

"She what?" I echoed in an incredulous squawk.

Tyler frowned at the change in my tone and tucked a loose curl behind my ear. If it had been any other moment, I would have leaned into his hand and craved for more of his touch but I had to force myself to stay put and not edge away from him.

"What did she say about him?" I ignored the hammering in my chest. I wasn't sure if it was due to the close proximity between us or the possibility that Tyler had figured out the truth about my father's fate.

"Oh nothing of any importance," He shrugged his shoulders as he met my gaze, frowning slightly at my face. "Just that he's lucky to have a daughter like you."

"Is that it?"

My eyebrows furrowed with confusion. I had an ill feeling there was far more to the story than he was letting on or maybe I was just overthinking and panicking over nothing.

I let my eyes linger onto his face for a few more seconds, committing his handsome face to memory as I welcomed the flutter in my chest. My previous panic dissolved as quickly as it came when the arm he had around my shoulder tightened. Tyler's facial expression displayed nothing unusual or out of place so I let the matter go and tried to calm my hammering heart.

Taking his hand, I let my palms slide over his before leading the way to the living room and squeezing his hand before letting go.

"I need to pop upstairs and get your present before I forget," I jogged out of the room, sprinting up the stairs before he could open his mouth to reply.

After snatching the envelope off my bed, I double checked my outfit and smoothed my curls before hurrying back downstairs.

Tyler was seated on the couch, twiddling his thumbs although there was something on his lap that hadn't been there before: a small baby blue box with 'Tiffany & Co.' written on it in black writing. Scrunching my eyebrows together, I strode into the room and flopped down beside him.

"Since we won't be seeing each other until school starts, I figured I'd give you your Christmas gift as well."

I struggled to keep my jaw from hanging when he slid the box across his thigh and into my palm, flashing me a sheepish smile before nodding at me to open it. Placing the golden envelope where he couldn't see it, I picked up the tiny box and undid the pearl white ribbon before opening it and letting out a gasp.

"Seriously?" I blinked at him before glancing down at the necklace.

Two rings - gold and silver - were interlocked together and attached to a sterling silver chain. The metal glinted in the light and I spluttered when Tyler asked me if I liked it.

"Of course I like it!" I squealed before knitting my eyebrows together. "How much did you spend on it? It looks expensive."

Bearing in mind that jewellery from Tiffany & Co. was worth hundreds of dollars, I pursed my lips when Tyler refused to answer. Instead he smiled secretly, delicately lifting the necklace and gesturing for me to turn around. I lifted my curls up and his fingers fumbled with the clasp before he fastened the pendant around my neck.

"Did you pick it yourself?" I asked when I turned around, suddenly guilty that he had spent so much on me and my gift hadn't cost me a dime.

I just wanted to give him something priceless. I really hoped he wasn't disappointed.

"Well I saw it on display and thought of you?" He tried to lie although his face gave him away and I scoffed.

"Yeah right."

"Alright fine," He held up a hand and two pink spots graced his cheeks. "I asked the woman in the store to help me pick it out. I just told her I wanted something beautiful for my girlfriend and she gave me a set to choose from. I thought the rings could act the same way promise rings do. I know we've only been in an official relationship for a week and I don't want to scare you away when I've just got you back, but you mean a lot to me. Things are gonna be different this time and that's a promise. I won't hurt you the way I did in ninth grade. Fuck, I'm chatting so much bullshit right now but I really, really don't wanna muck things up this time, you know? And stop looking at me like Ash. You look like a pedophile on cra-"

As Tyler babbled, my lips stretched into a jawbreaking grin and I pounced on him. He fell back and we sunk into the couch as I buried my head into his neck and gave his entire body a squeeze. Tyler chuckled and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"You're so damn cute," I murmured, planting a kiss on his neck before laughing when he grunted.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I'm not cute, I'm hot."

"That too," I giggled.

Chest to chest, my nose grazed his collarbone as he played with the curls that were inches shy of my ass. We stayed like that for a while until I remembered the discarded envelope and sat up. Reaching for it, I bit my lip before I thrust it into his palms and held my breath. Tyler raised a blond eyebrow and I motioned for him to open it.

"An envelope within an envelope?" Tyler drawled and I punched his arm although that only made his grin widen. "Wow, when you said you sucked at gifts, I didn't think you'd be this bad."

"Don't open the second envelope now. I want you to wait till Christmas day to read it," I tried to snatch the letter back but he jumped off the couch, holding an hand out to keep me at arms length as he tossed the first envelope on the floor and stared at the second one.

Slowly, his grin froze and began to falter when he recognised the sloping, cursive handwriting. The black sharpie contrasted with the glinting, golden envelope and I held my breath at his reaction, terrified that he would freak out.

"Where did you get this?" His voice cracked, a mere echo of it's usual deep glory.

"You think you were the only she wrote letters for?" I gave him a small smile although I was beginning to regret giving him the gift since his hands were trembling when he turned it over. "She gave me enough to last me a lifetime - literally. They're Christmas gifts that she wanted me to have but there were a few other ones she gave me. This is one of them and I want you to have it."

His sea green eyes flickered to my face, drinking in my open smile before he frowned.

"After the pain I put you through, I don't even deserve to be with you so how can I take this?" Tyler held out his hand and shook his head. "Ashley, take it back."

I pushed his hand back down until it hung limply by his side.

"Seriously Ty, I want you to have it. She gave me a bunch to give to The One--"

Tyler held up a hand and quirked an eyebrow, his lips still turned down in a frown.

"The One? Is that some kind of girl code?"

A deep blush burned my cheeks and I stared at my feet, wriggling my bare toes and scrutinising the sparkly, emerald nail polish I perfected before Tyler's arrival.

"You know..." I started in a small voice, praying that the ground would swallow me up because of how mortifying my explanation was going to be. "The one person you're destined to be with. Don't you ever watch romantic movies?"

"Disney movies yeah, but not the other sappy crap."

I nervously twirled a curl around my finger before releasing it and repeating the motion.

"Look, this is embarrassing...but Taylor once told me that first time you fall in love, it changes you and no matter how many years pass, it's hard to shake off the first guy that made it hard to breathe, hard to sleep and hard to think clearly. And umm, most people rarely get a second chance but I'm glad we have one to right the wrongs between us."

Focusing on the carpet was getting trickier when I could feel his scorching gaze and shallow breaths fan my forehead. God, could he make this any harder?

"This letter is a piece of Taylor and a piece of me. It may be too soon to give it to you, but I always planned to give it to you and only you," I broke off and looked up, almost losing my footing at the intense look in his eyes. "Even if you continued treated me the way you did last year, this letter was always meant to be yours. I don't care about the past, only you Tyler."

Sea green orbs melted my skin, prickling every inch until I felt the need to shiver. His eyes swept me away in their strong currents and I had to grip his forearms to stay rooted to the ground or I would have drowned.

"You know I only acted like a cold-hearted douchebag to stay away from you," The back of his hand brushed against my cheek and he pushed a few wispy curls from my face. His voice was a mere echo although the burning brightness in his eyes blinded me. "And was I really your first love?"

With another blush, I tried to make my tone light.

"You are my first love dumbass."

He stared at the golden envelope, turning it over so the light caught the glittering surface before he placed the letter onto the coffee table and spun around to face me. Silence settled between us as his gaze ran along my face, scrutinising every feature before they zeroed on my eyes. His pupils dilated and a sparkling sheen made his eyes twinkle - bright and burning - as they drank in my wide grin.

"What did I do to deserve a girl so perfect?" He clasped my face and tilted it from side to side, gawking at me in awe as if he was struggling to believe that I was real. "It's like you fell from heaven Ash."

I rolled my eyes, embarrassed that he could feel the heat from my cheeks beneath his palms.

"And now you're being cheesy."

"Shh," Tyler pressed a lingering kiss on my mouth. Warmth evaded my senses and I closed my eyes, sliding my arms around his waist and breathing in his addictive aftershave. "You're ruining the moment."

With a light laugh, I pulled back a fraction and his nose tickled mine.

"You ruined the moment first."

"You ruined it second," He murmured and moved closer until we were breathing each other in. Mint and a hint of chocolate fanned my mouth making them prickle with the desire to cup his lips with mine. "At least I can fix it with my famous pickup lines. Remember those?"

I raised an eyebrow, shuddering from the rippling heat from his mouth that made my toes curl.

"Yes and what I remember most is how terrible they were, but I'd like to see you try," I laughed, rubbing my lips against his before he pulled back and smirked at me.

"Well there's this one that always works," He grinned as I beckoned him to continue with a teasing look. "Are you religious? Because you're the answer to all my prayers."

Blinking repeatedly, I drank in Tyler's crooked smirk before I burst into laughter.

"What the hell?" I choked, doubling over although his smooth palms remained glued to my face, forcing me to giggle hysterically as his mouth hovered over mine to steal another kiss.

"I said--"

I threw my head back and let out a ringing hoot of laughter before pressing a finger to his lips to silence him.

"I know what you said but please tell me that..." My eyes ran over his features before I coughed with laughter. "Holy shit, you're actually being serious. That's your pickup line to fix the moment?"

He nodded repeatedly and blond hair tickled my forehead. "I have better ones tucked under my sleeve."

"If the moment was ruined before, you destroyed it with that crap."

"Hey," Tyler whined, flicking my nose with one hand while the other curled around my neck and disappeared into my curls. "You haven't even heard the good ones yet!"

"Shit, there's more?" I planted my hands to his chest and pushed him away from me, struggling to keep my laughter under control.

"Girl," He used a high falsetto that sounded ridiculously ratchet before he flopped down onto the couch. "You ain't even heard the best!"

Standing upright, I switched on the television and turned around, placing my hands on my hips as I relished the sight of Tyler sprawled across my couch with a teasing smirk.

"Fine, give me your best five and I'll let you pick the movie."

"And?"

"And what?" I arched an eyebrow, racking my brains for something else to offer him. "I'll pay for the pizza and let you choose the toppings. But only if I find your pickup lines are funny. Sound fair?"

His sea green eyes lit up and he leaned forward, eager to please me although I had a good feeling that I was going to win. Tyler's cheesy jokes and pickup lines were hilarious but I was even better at keeping a poker face. As long as I didn't laugh, I could win. Slipping on my poker face, I waited for him to entice me.

Tyler waggled his eyebrows, gripped the hemline of his shirt and flashed me a wink as I took a seat on the coffee table opposite him with my arms crossed over my chest.

"Do you know what my shirt is made of?" He drawled in a low voice and I scoffed in reply. "Boyfriend material."

Keeping a straight face deemed much harder when he seductively ran a hand all over his torso, beckoning me to jump his bones when he lifted his shirt to his chest and flashed me his sculpted abs.

"I've heard that one before. Next one!" I barked, biting my lip to choke down laughter.

He rolled his eyes but huffed as he moved on.

"Are you an orphanage?"

"Am I a what?" I echoed, confused until he waggled his eyebrows.

"Cause I wanna give you kids."

A long silence filled the room as we stared at each other. He held my gaze and his sly smirk grew in size until I clasped my hands over my mouth and giggled hysterically.

"Seriously Tyler, you wanna give me kids?" I choked as he burst into a booming laugh.

"Well," He winked. "Just tell me when you're ready and I'll plant my seed."

I stopped laughing and turned red.

"Tyler!"

"What? Your body is seventy percent water and I'm thirsty."

"Tyler!" I shrieked, jumping up and gawking at him as he choked at my reaction.

He stood up, grabbing his torso as he doubled over with laughter before he sobered up and rolled his eyes dramatically.

"Jesus Ash don't frown. You never know who could be falling in love with your smile."

Although I still wasn't over his previous jokes I couldn't help but crack a smile.

"That one was cute," I admitted when he draped an arm around my shoulder and gave me a goofy grin.

"If you were a Dementor, I'd become a criminal just to get your kiss."

I shrugged him off me and spluttered but he kept going, lunging for me as I darted away, circling the coffee table in an attempt to escape his open arms. I took off my glasses, quickly rubbing my eyes before I put them back on blinked until my eyesight sharpened. A yelp shot past my lips because Tyler was standing inches away from me, grinning like a happy drunk.

"What's wrong Ashley? Does your left eye hurt? Because you've been looking right all day."

This time I didn't run away when he pounced on me and threw me over his shoulder. I was too busy dying from laughter to realise that I was hanging upside, inches from his ass. Pounding his back, I screamed as he spun us around in tight circles, pretending to drop me every few seconds me until he tossed me onto the couch and smothered his body all over mine.

"Get off me Tyler!" I screeched when he buried his head into my chest and wrapped his arms around my waist, pressing every inch of his body against mine.

Despite the shivers that surged through my skin, I tried to focus on the fact that he was nuzzling his face into my chest - more precisely, my boobs.

"Tyler stop that!" I squealed and he only responded by laughing hysterically until he could barely breathe.

"But I'm not staring at your boobs Ash," He lifted his head up and peered at me through his lashes, keeping a sombre expression although he couldn't contain the quiver of his bottom lip. "I'm staring at your heart!"

"That's it!" I buried my face into his hair and guffawed until I could no longer breathe. "Stop this nonsense and pick a movie before I kill you."

Despite my empty threat, he made no attempt to move although his arms slackened around my waist.

"I'll stop and give you a nickel if you tickle my pickle."

I shot him a filthy look which made him laugh even harder than he already was.

"That's enough for now Ty."

"But how many pickles can a nickel tickle if a nickel can tickle pickles?"

Confused, I blinked at him. "What? I don't know...a couple?"

A sly grin stretched his lips up before I realised what I said and clamped a hand over my mouth.

"Okay, that was by accident!" I laughed hysterically. "That's it, no more!"

He was wheezing, holding up one finger before gasping, "Oh come on, just one m-more!"

My silence allowed him to continue and god, I wish I hadn't let him carry on.

"Do you work at Subway?" Tyler smirked at my confusion, eyes bright as if he was dropping his best one. "Because you just gave me a footlong."

He peered up at me and watched my facial expression distort into a merge between horror and amusement. Seconds later and we were both howling with laughter.

"That's it, I am so done with you!" I shook my head. He buried his head into my stomach and laughed so hard that his grip on me tightened. "Get off me now or I'll break your footlong into a six-inch!"

"That's still big enough to do the job," He winked.

"Tyler!" I hissed, smacking him lightly.

I forced him to roll off me so we could watch at least two movies before my mom arrives home from her last day at work. We bickered over which movie to watch first because he insisted on watching Frozen although I was certain he already had the DVD at home. Eventually I threatened to never kiss him again and he gave in after crushing my body with his to keep glued to the couch. That way, I couldn't get up and pick a DVD of my choice.

Then I kicked him in the leg. With a victory dance, I approached the DVD player before swivelling around and holding up two Marvel movies, glad that my heart was beating at a regular pace again - well, the regular pace around Tyler which was a great deal faster than any other time.

"Captain America or Thor?" I grinned as Tyler flashed me a glower as he rubbed his shin.

Shifting on the couch, he peered at me, letting his frown flip around in the goofy smile I'd come to love.

"How about both?"

**

I was pretty sure I made it through Captain America but somehow I fell asleep during Thor. When my eyelids fluttered open, I was no longer sitting upright beside Tyler; instead my line of vision ended with the view of his face from his lap. Rather than making it obvious that I was awake, I lay there for a few more minutes enjoying the way the reflected light from the screen lit his face in a pale light that made shadows dance along his strong jawline. Unaware of my actions, my fingers traced his jaw from his ear to his lips making him tear his eyes from the screen.

"Oh sorry," I blushed as I retracted my hand and laid it back on my lap.

"Don't be," Tyler smiled down at me, his own fingers tracing my jawline. "How was your nap? Is my company really that boring?"

I ignored the aching absence of his touch when he moved his hand away from my face to pause the movie.

"Mmm, really good." I replied and lifted my head off his lap. "And you're not boring, just tiring with your childish antics."

Tyler laughed, "I could switch antics. I know another way that could tire you and it works well for both of us rather than you ditching me for a nap in the middle of the movie."

"Eww, I'll pass," I giggled.

My nap was the best sleep I'd had in a long time: completely and utterly dreamless. So this is what it felt like to have a good nap. It felt so amazing that I wanted to snuggle further into his arms and return to the blissful state of mind I had been in but my body was wide awake and fully alert after Tyler's touch, yearning for more. Much more.

Standing up, I stretched my cramped limbs and rubbed my muscles before letting out a yawn. The entire time, I felt the weight of Tyler's gaze on me and it made me feel unnerved but also exhilarated.

"Hungry?"

In one swift yet lazily motion, he latched his arms around my waist and pulled me back down onto his lap making me yelp in surprise before he nuzzled his face into my hair.

"Don't worry, I already beat you to it. Pizza should be here any time soon."

**

After we devoured two boxes of pizza, I lay on the floor clutching my stomach whilst Tyler rummaged through my kitchen for more food.

"How can you stomach anymore?" I wailed as I let out a burp.

"Eight slices aren't enough when you're a growing dude!" He yelled back as he stumbled out of the kitchen with a tub of chocolate ice cream.

"You have got to be kidding me!" I groaned as he shoved a mouthful down his throat and hummed a chirpy tune.

Rolling onto my side, I groaned again. My protruding stomach pushed against my lungs making it hard to draw each breath.

"I'm struggling to breathe here, yet you still have space for ice cream?"

"Yup!" He popped the 'p' and spooned another helping of the dessert.

About ten minutes later, Tyler was sprawled out beside me clutching his toned stomach whilst the empty tub lay abandoned on the coffee table. His hair was no longer scraped back but flopped around his eyes every time he moved his head an inch. It was a pleasant sight that warmed my cheeks whenever he pushed it away from his eyes but it always flopped back down like a spineless creature.

"Why did you let me eat all the ice cream?" He groaned, turning his head so he could glare at me from under his hair.

"I warned you," I retorted smugly, flicking his nose with my finger making him turn his head away from me so that he was staring up at the ceiling.

I groaned at myself for touching him because now all I had was a side profile but I guess I could still admire him without getting caught.

"I know you're watching me, creep-o."

This time he turned his whole body to face me, propping his head up and burying an elbow into the carpet.

"No I wasn't!" I replied meekly, averting my eyes from his intense ones, shifting so that my hair fell over my pink cheeks.

I heard him shuffle closer and when I looked back up my eyes widened a fraction at how much closer he was to me. I was about to pull back, nervous that his knees were touching mine but his next move made me freeze. Slender fingers pushed the hair away from my face, revealing my deep blush as they ran down my cheek, sliding down my arm until they traced patterns on wrist. His fingers left behind a steaming hot sensation that prickled the hairs on my bare arms making them stand tall as goosebumps formed.

"It's okay, I don't mind it when you watch me," He whispered softly.

I had to take a mouthful of air to satisfy my screaming lungs, realising that I had been holding my breath.

"You make me sound like a creep," I managed quite shakily but at least my voice wasn't croaky or anything.

"But you are a creep, so it doesn't matter," He remarked factually.

"No, I'm not."

I slapped his chest lightly but before I could retrieve my hand back, they were trapped by Tyler's cool fingers in a lock hold. My pulse quickened as he lowered them, still keeping a firm hold on them without taking his eyes off me.

"You most definitely are one. You don't have to put up a pretence for me. I've known you all my life and you've done a lot of creepy things Ashley Rose," Sea-green eyes twinkled at me. "Admit it."

Shaking my head so that soft brown ringlets gently smacked my cheeks, I tried to smack him again but his fingers tightened around my wrist and he shot me a warning look followed by a sly smirk. Amusement sparked the green and mischief lit the blue of his eyes as he narrowed them at me. Releasing his hold on me, he sat up and chuckled at me.

"Admit it munchkin! You're the creepiest of all creeps who stares at her boyfriend all the damn time."

"No I don't!" I edged away from him, feeling nervous but exhilarated by his fast approaching hand.

Just as I thought he was going to cup my cheek, his fingers dove into the sensitive skin between my chin and collarbone making me jerk and thrash about as he tickled my neck.

"Tyler!" I screeched, clawing at the carpet to get away from him but he leaned forward, swung a leg over me and straddled me. "S-Stop!"

"Not until you admit it I'm right," He sang, beaming at me with a devilish grin before bringing his hands to my sides.

I screamed, cursing him with colourful words as he boomed with laughter. After more than a minute of immense agony, I was pleading at him to stop as tears streamed from my eyes.

"I'mthecreepiestcreepwhostaresatherboyfriendallthetime!"

After exhaling the words in a one breath, the fingers came to halt and I breathed a sigh of relief, drawing ragged breaths as my chest rose and fell rapidly. With my eyes still shut, I willed the frantic, explosive drumming in my chest to stop and my wish was granted when his fingers curled around waist, sliding up my back as he pulled me up towards him into a sitting position.

The playful glint in his eyes was nowhere to be found as I gazed into the ocean, suddenly swept by the strong currents of desire, affection and happiness. The tides swept over my face, drinking in my features while five fingers grazed my skin as they travelled up from my waist to my cheeks before they gripped the plastic frame of my glasses. Slipping them off with ease, Tyler gingerly placed them on the coffee table, never once taking his eyes off me.

When the hand returned to my face, a trail of warm tingles were left behind until his hand stopped under my chin, raising my head slightly and angling it so it was tilted to the side. The entire time, my lungs screamed at me to breath but I lost all function of my body and all possession of my thoughts when I felt his warm breath hovering over my mouth.

Inhaling deeply, I breathed in the warmth of his breath as he inched closer, tilting his head to the left before pausing a nanometre from my mouth.

"You're so beautiful that you made me forget my pickup line."

He was so close that the movement of his lips caused them to brush with a feather's touch that made me ache for more. The scalding heat of his breath washed over my entire body, spreading through me, gradually reaching the tip of my toes before rushing back up to the tingling skin of my lips.

Pressing my forehead against his, I feigned a dramatic sigh.

"That was another one of them, wasn't it?"

He laughed softly. "Now who's ruining the moment?"

With that, I felt another brush, only this time it was harder and pushed me into the hand that had slipped to the back of my head, twisted under a handful of curls. Cradling my head, Tyler gently pushed me back down onto the carpet, never taking his lips off mine as they began to move in sync. He caught my bottom lip and tugged it gently whilst the weight of his body pinned me down. My chest erupted into a series of pulsating beats that thrummed against my rib cage, threatening to break free.

Pulling back, I felt his forehead rest against mine and listened to the heaviness of our breaths as they mingled together. When I finally had the energy to crack my lids open, I squinted at the illuminating clear blue in front of me and searched them for any trace of green but couldn't find any in the dim light.

I should have heard the soft rattling sound at the door but being in a bubble with Tyler made it hard to stay alive and breathing, let alone rely on my other senses.

It wasn't until I heard the creaking living room door that I tensed in his arms.

"What is the meaning of this?"

Breaking out of the trance Tyler had me under, I lifted my head up from the ground to see a stern frown and accusing blue eyes before I let my head plop back down onto the carpet as all the heat in my body rushed to my face. When Tyler's crushing weight shot off me in millisecond I buried my face into my hands and coldness swept over every inch of me from the absence of his crushing body.

I groaned into my hands.

"Uh...Hey Mom."

[A/N: Whoa, they've been b u s t e d haha. How'd you like this chapter? Did ya find it funny? What's your best pickup line? I've had a couple used on me and it's fair to say, they never fail to make me laugh!

I would say Merry Christmas because of the theme of the chapter but its 20th June and Christmas is in haaaaallf a mtherfcking year :)))

Umm, two things happened today. First of all, my story is no longer R-rated and idek why it was to begin with. Wattpad just automatically rated it because of the language when I've read stories like 'Violence and Vince' and 'After' which have full-on sex scenes and are PG-13 soooooo I'm happy. Second of all, I skipped college once again (it's a regular thing oh god whut is my life) and watched TFIOS again today and wrote two really sad chapters for the future so that was pretty progressive. I only ever write when I'm feeling the right emotions, y'know? It doesn't feel real to write a sad chapter when I'm happy, or vice versa.

Four more days until my last exams. All of my friends have started their summer. It's so unfair ffs.

Comment as you will(keep 'em coming, I love them!), vote as you please, and fan if you want :)
