When Tsuna woke up this morning, he knew it was going to be one of those days.

Sighing to himself, he got out of bed and dragged himself to the bathroom, spending more time under the shower than he usually did. Feeling the sensation of water trailing down his bare skin always helps. But he knows he can't be in here forever. Especially now that he has Reborn and the others in his life.

Which brings him to the next question; how to deal with this little situation he's in?

To be honest, Tsuna was feeling a bit surprised and at the same time not. It doesn't makes sense, he knows that, but that's the best he could come up with to explain the current emotion he's having at the moment.

He thought he won't have these kind of days again after meeting Reborn and his friends. In fact, he was almost 100% sure that he's free from it after not having one for so long.

Unfortunately, he was proven wrong.

And at such a bad time too.

"Tsu-kun? Are you still in there?"

Nana's voice startled him back to his senses. 'How long was I under?' he thought as he hurriedly turned off the shower and dried himself, wrapping the towel around his waist when he realised he has to walk back to his room because he forgot to bring his clothes along.

"Tsu-kun?"

"In a sec, mom!" he replied as he tied the knot tight, making sure it won't suddenly fall off. Grabbing the door handle, he took a deep breath and plastered a smile before opening the door. "Hey, mom. What's up?"

"You've been in here for quite awhile. I was worried that you might have fallen asleep or something," Nana spoke with worry.

His chest tightened a bit when she said that. 'You just made her worried about you, idiot!' he berated himself.

"Sorry, I think I did dozed off for a bit..." he lied.

Nana smiled fondly at him. "Well, you must be tired from playing with your friends. I heard today is a picnic day with them. I'm sure you will have plenty of time to rest." she smiled.

Tsuna wanted to disagree, knowing exactly who she's referring to, but he chose to keep his mouth shut and agree with her.

"Now, go put on some clothes. Your friends will be here any minute now. Come down for a light breakfast when you're done." She pecked a kiss on his cheek before cheerfully going down the stairs.

Tsuna felt something warm pooling in his chest when Nana kissed his cheek. 'She always knows how to make this kind of day a little bit more bearable.' he thought gratefully. Unfortunately, the warmth didn't last for long and soon after he had put on his clothes, it disappeared.

Tsuna sighed, disappointed at the lack of warmth, and winced a little at the sharp iciness that was slowly starting to creep in but chose to ignore it, like he always did.

Once he was done, he started to mentally repeat the same chant he always say whenever he's having this kind of day while still able to walk down the stairs with ease. It was a bit hard during the first time, chanting and trying to walk or do anything else at the same time. But after years of practice, Tsuna can confidently say he's a master at this.

"Hey mom." Tsuna greeted her, sliding himself into his seat. "Where did the others go?" he asked when he didn't see the usual occupants of this house beside him and Nana.

"Bianchi and Reborn-chan went to town to buy some things and both Lambo and I-pin went with Fuuta to the bookstore. The two groups went together and they just left." Nana explained as she placed his breakfast. Kissing his head, Nana smiled again at him before going back to the kitchen.

Tsuna was grateful for having such a wonderful mom like Nana. Even though she didn't seem to care much, she never abandoned him and loves him as much as he loves her.

'You're really not worthy of her.' A dark thought made itself known.

'Shut up, Kuroge.' Tsuna mentally scowled before eating his breakfast.

'You know they left. They didn't go to town. They left you behind. Just like everybody else.' Kuroge continued.

Tsuna just rolled his eyes, already used to having this kind of conversation. 'Just shut up and be nice, Kuroge.' Tsuna mentally replied.

And so, for the next few minutes, Tsuna exchanged words with his dark thoughts named Kuroge, all the while acting like as if he isn't having a verbal fight with his own mind.

'This is going to be a long day,' Tsuna mentally sighed.

'Why don't you die already then? It could put everyone else out of their misery. Don't waste their time. You're worthless.'

'Your opinion is not appreciated here, Kuroge.'

'You know you're nothing without them. You're just Dame-Tsuna.'

"Why can't you ever say something nice, Kuroge..." Tsuna said quietly with an exasperated tone.
