Captain America and Anxiety
Elyzia's POV
"I'm going to the diner," I said to Clara, "tell mother."
She asked, "What diner?"
"You know what diner," I called out while leaving and locking the door. I started walking to the diner because I didn't have a car. I pray to Odin that I don't bump into anyone.

I got there and walked to the door. As I opened the door, guess what, I bumped into someone, a built someone. There is only one person built like that in this town and I'm pretty sure it's because of steroids. That man is Landon Martin.
Landon is a very violent and dark man. He enjoys hurting me.
I frantically said, "I am so sorry, it was an accident. Please don't hurt me."
I flinched away, closing my eyes.
The man, that is definitely not Landon, asked in confusion, "Why would I hurt you? It was an accident."
I looked up in shock and looked at him. This was NOT Landon at all. Standing in front of me; scanning me, making me feel self-conscious; was a tall, built man with golden hair that caught the light and brilliant blue eyes that look way older than he does.
The man I bumped into looked very familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. He awkwardly tapped my shoulder, making me jump.
He pulled his hand back saying, "Sorry, it's just you seemed to be spacing out, so I was just... What?"
I had been staring at him with a look of surprise. No one has said sorry to me since I was 16.
I replied to him and scratched the back of my neck, "Nothing... just... you must be new here."
He tilted his head and smiled before saying, "I'm just passing by. Am I that out of place."
I chuckled before saying, "Kind of," my smile faded, "no one has said sorry to me in years."
He looked confused and asked, "People don't say sorry in this town?"
I replied, "No, they do, just not to me."
"Why not?" He asked.
I was about to answer when the waiter came over and gave me my usual.
"Thank you, Mr. Lee," I said as I gave him the money. He's the only one who treats me remotely well in this town. (A/N: *cries violently*)
"Yer welcome, Elyzia," He said.
"Your name is Elyzia?" The man I bumped into asked me.
"Yes I am, and you are?" I asked him.
"Oh, right. I'm Steve," He replied, "Steve Rogers."
"It was amazing to meet you, but I have to get back home. I hope I see you again. Bye." I said after checking my phone.
"Bye," He said as I left the building and started walking down the street thinking about how familiar he looked.
He was really strange.
I made a fool of myself.
He was nice.
That blonde hair and those blue eyes looked so familiar.
I swear I've seen him somewhere before.
Those were the thoughts running through my brain after meeting Steve. I have been walking home for the past 5 minutes and have been asking why I'm making such a big deal about him.
He's nice. I thought He's hot.
No, he's not. Well, he is but... I thought argued back.
Wait... He's...
"Captain America," I said out loud.
I looked around me and saw I had become so engrossed with my thoughts that I didn't notice where I was.
I was standing in the middle of 'Death Valley'.
'Death Valley' is what I called the block that is a block away from my house. There is a gang of sorts that lives on the block that hates me for humiliating them.
I looked around, hoping no one was around. To my luck or lack thereof, I was suddenly grabbed and pulled into an alley...
Steve's POV
That girl that bumped into me, Elyzia, was strange. Not that I can talk. I'm a genetically mutated super soldier from the '40s. Elyzia was really pretty, though. However, when I saw her arms I saw dressing, the medical, bandage-like ones, on them. I was worried when she left. I wanted to know what was causing her pain and to drive it out of her life even though I just met her.
I walked outside and went to the large van that everyone was in. It was one of Stark's and was large enough for all of us to fit in. 'Us' was me, Stark, Banner, Barton, and Natasha. Thor wasn't there. When I got into the van, all I could think about was her. It was weird.
When Tony saw me, he raised an eyebrow.
"What's got you so deep in thought?" He smirked, "Did you meet a girl?"
I rolled my eyes but looked out the window, my face started to turn red.
Stark and Barton started laughing loudly. Banner raised his eyebrows and smiled slightly. Natasha just smirked.
Stark, still laughing, said, "You, The Star Spangled Man With a Plan, was talking to a girl? Do you even know how to talk to a girl?"
I rolled my eyes again and groaned.
Natasha leaned over and asked, "Do you know her name?" and, "How did you start talking to each other?" and "What did she look like?" (A/N: She wants the tea)
I glared at her but answered her questions.
"Her name is Elyzia and she bumped into me,
"She has black hair with blue and green streaks in it. She was around your height, Natasha. Her eyes were brown. She had dressing around her arms," I frowned.
Everyone else frowned as well.
Stark started driving.
We went down a road and heard a scream, followed by a bunch of guys, soaking wet, running out of an alley. They were all yelling at each other and back into the alley before running off.
Stark stopped the van and we went to the edge of the alley, curious about what happened to the boys.
Sitting, rolled up in a ball, trembling was Elyzia. She was hyperventilating and tense. Tears were running down her face. She was sitting in the only dry patch in the alley. It looks like a pipe had burst and hit everywhere except a circle around her.
I walked over to her slowly, not wanting to frighten her and kneeled down. She flinched and balled up her fists.
I whispered to her, "There is nothing to be afraid of now, Elyzia. I'm here for you and I'm not going to hurt you."
She glanced up at me and lowered her legs. She was now sitting with her legs crossed. Tears were no longer running down her face but she was still hyperventilating and trembling.
"It'll be over in a little bit. I'm not going anywhere. You need to breathe, though."
I put my hand out and placed it on her knee. She flinched slightly but leaned towards me.
I gently take one of her hands and place it against my chest.
"Breathe with me. In," I took a breath in and she tried to do the same.
"Out" I exhaled and she did the same lightly.
"In," She stared at me as she breathed in.
"Out," She breathed out again.
We repeated it until she was no longer trembling and was breathing normally.
After she calmed down she wrapped her arms around my waist and whispered, "Thank you."
I stroked her hair gently and looked at her, "Do you need help getting home?"
Her eyes widened and she breathed in quickly and looked down, shaking her head.
I frowned at her response. Was her home life bad? Does she have an abusive significant other? Is it her parents?
She shook her head again and said fearfully, "Mother is going to kill me when I get home."
So, it's her mother.
I looked around and saw the team leaning against the van and the water around the alley.
I looked at her and asked, "What happened here?"
