{3rd person pov}

The motorcycle dealer gave a bright smile as he handed a young man the keys to his new bike. The man was a humble buyer who was overjoyed to be paying the dealer his price. "I hope you enjoy ridin' that bike" The Young man simply bowed his head, not saying a word as he mounted the bike, riding the road all the way to what seemed to be his house.

"Where have you been?! Young man, you are supposed to be packing!" I asked my son as he tried sneaking inside the front door. "I was out! Besides, you shouldn't worry so much! You're going to have the house to yourself as soon as I put all my stuff under the seat." He chirped, I was a bit confused to what he had just hinted at, so I replied, "What do you mean 'under your seat?'" I couldn't help but notice him smile softly and turn himself around halfway on the steps of the stairs. "As you have made it crystal clear, I am an adult, so I should act like one. I sold my car and bought a motorcycle." I heard motorcycle and immediately widened my eyes in shock. "Wait! Hold on! Who said you could buy a motorcycle?! I did not agree to this!" I shouted at him as I reached up to grab his arm when he was about to go the rest of the way up the stairs. He simply remarked back, "I'm staying in a cheap-looking apartment that is about 3 miles away from the college. I'm not obligated to tell you what I do anymore, and it will cut costs as I am also paying for college.", he then violently yanked his arm away from my grasp. He strolled up the stairs, grabbed a few boxes and a bag that held his belongings, and brushed past me back down the stairs. I was too in shock of the confidence that my son gained to even speak, then I heard the rev of his bike outside. It suddenly paused as his footsteps could be heard coming back in, he strode back up the steps only to come down minutes later with a pocket knife. I folded my arms, snapping out of my daze, and said sternly, "You are not! Taking that with you." He replied to me with a disrespectful snarl, "You can't fucking stop me." He then continued down the stairs, brushing past me once more.

"I am still your mother!" I shrieked in outrage, I couldn't believe my ears! My own son, such disrespect I received from him. With a harsh hiss, he retaliated with, "Not anymore! I don't want anything to do with you!!!!" Once more, I stood in plain shock, watching him leave out the front door towards his bike, strapping his helmet on sternly. He mounted his bike once more and inserted the keys into the ignition before, revving the bike once more. After that, the sound of his engine puttering started moving away from the house, getting fainter and fainter in the distance. I seethed and dashed outside Quickly, before shouting at his silhouette, "AMMOLITE!!!!"

(Ammolite POV)

I smiled as I rode off, my duffel bag upon my back as I was on my way towards the college, breathing in that fresh, satisfying breath of freedom. As unsafe as it was, I turned on my music and started listening to my music for the rest of the 5-hour ride. This is my fresh start.
