9. Complication

Namjoon led YeongMi to the terrace. They went through the floral arch and YeongMi was bombarded with the smell of fresh flowers and food.

All of the boys were there, much to her surprise.

As soon as they spotted her, Jin hopped up and pulled her to the tables.

YeongMi hadn't even known this place was here - it was in the back, and it was isolated by the vast spread of flower bushes.

Jimin gave her a friendly smile, and she realized she hadn't properly thanked him for walking her to her room last night.

She couldn't recall ever wanting to thank someone, but Jimin was too sweet not to thank.

"Thanks for last night, Jiminnie."

Namjoon stepped closer, darting in. "What did he do for you last night?!"

"Bro, I just walked her to her room I promise. She didn't know the way."

"You didn't have to say that." She hissed to Jimin, who just shrugged apologetically.

"Why didn't you tell me, I would've showed you the way, or you could've slept on the couch."

Considering she had left to get away from Namjoon, that probably wouldn't have been a good idea. She might have ended up inviting him in, and while that would've been amazing, it would've also been incredibly stupid.

YeongMi just shrugged and stepped closer to Taehyung and Jungkook. Taehyung seemed to be explaining something, and Jungkook was nodding along, obediently following every word.

She leaned over to try and hear what Taehyung was telling Jungkook.

"I swear, it was online! There's so much proof, apparently America faked the moon landing. Like, the moon might not even exist, we don't know. Have you been to space? I haven't, so neither of us know for sure!"

Jungkook nodded, as if he was in awe.

"And then there was this guy called Tupac - "

Namjoon grabbed Taehyung's shoulder and jerked him backwards.

"Hey! Tae, you're messing with Jungkook again! You know he believes everything you say! You're making my work tutoring him so much harder by filling his head with all of this crap, it's confusing him!"

YeongMi laughed, slowly sneaking away so that Taehyung wouldn't plead for her to defend him.

She sat next to a sleeping Yoongi and Jin, who was too busy stuffing his face to speak with her.

Staring out, YeongMi realized how nice and peaceful it looked here. The flowers, the trees, the boys, it was like a safe haven.

Her own personal batch of perfection.

But the peaceful atmosphere was interrupted by the sound of someone huffing and puffing, feet pounding on the pavement.

Hyjoon nearly slammed into Hoseok, who had gotten up to see who was coming.

"Hyjoon, go back to school, what are you thinking?!"

"It's fine, I have another 20 minutes for lunch. Plenty of time."

Hyjoon waved carelessly to Jin's concern, only leaning onto the person closest to her while she caught her breath.

Unfortunately, that person was Yoongi, who sleepily shifted his shoulders.

Instead of pushing her away, however, it ended up making her fall forward, consequently ending up with Hyjoon awkwardly leaning next to him, their heads clashing together with a thud that screamed pain.

"Stupid, what the hell?!!"

"It was your damn fault, why did you move, goddamn, I need my precious head, unlike you I actually use my fucking brain cells."

Yoongi just glared at Hyjoon, who sat down across from him, scooting forward so her legs could reach his.

He rolled his eyes as she began to kick her legs, smacking their shins together.

Jungkook came to sit by Hyjoon, looking at her nervously. "Hyjoon, what did you come here for?"

"Oh, right right - "

"Did you already forget?"

"Shut up Yoongi, maybe I shouldn't even tell you. Just to smite your ass."

"Maybe you should just stop thinking about my ass."

Hyjoon just glared at Yoongi before continuing, as if she didn't find him worth the trouble of arguing.

"Though, it affects Namjoon more than anyone."

At this YeongMi stood up, walking up to lean over Jungkook so she could look at Hyjoon.

And the fact that Jungkook practically shrunk into the table at YeongMi's close proximity, greatly entertained her.

What was it about Namjoon? Was it some deep dark secret that she was going to learn?

Maybe it was something embarrassing, and then she'd have something else to tease him about.

She could do with a little edge over him; maybe it would build back her blind confidence of herself over him again.

Hyjoon seemed to find herself back to the urgency of before, as she stood up, pointing a finger at Namjoon who had walked over at the mention of his name.

Getting bored from waiting, YeongMi lay her hands over Jungkook's shoulders, resting her chin on his head.

Jin gave her a reproachful look, but she just smirked, as Hyjoon distracted them all.

"Wait, this is really important, you guys."

Hyjoon got all the guys attention, clapping her hands until everyone gathered.

"Guys, really, somebody is going to be coming to this school, it's going to change everything."

"Somebody's coming?"

This got everyone's attention, and they began to whisper about who it could possibly be.

Surely any ordinary person wouldn't possibly be able to disturb this group.

So why was it so important that Hyjoon left school to tell us?

"Oh, I've got to go back to school-"

"Yah, Hyjoon, you have to tell us who's coming."

Hyjoon grinned, obviously just messing with everyone.

"Okay, seriously though, Bora is coming back."

Bora? Who was Bora? Why was Bora so important?

Everyone else seemed to understand immediately, leaving YeongMi alone in the dark, wondering all of the possible reasons for this Bora's importance.

Getting sick of waiting, she sat next to to Jungkook, turning his head to face her.

"Hello, I'm new to the school, a little clueless here, care to help?"

Jungkook opened his mouth to speak, but he was too tongue-tied to get any words out.

Namjoon's face should have said it all, but YeongMi wasn't paying enough attention.

As the others began to disperse at the uncomfortable topic, and Hyjoon running back to her school, Yoongi finally put YeongMi out of her curious misery.

"Bora is Namjoon's ex."
