YeongMi and Hyjoon were walking the grounds, chattering with themselves carelessly as they wandered past the floods of students who were enjoying their lunch break.
"Young lady, you're not supposed to be here!"
Unsurprisingly, their fun was ruined by a teacher, who quickly intercepted them, standing in front of them disapprovingly.
"Yi YeongMi, I'll have you know that only Daewon students are allowed on Daewon grounds."
"But teacher, don't you remember her? This is Choi Ju. She's been at this school longer than I have! Poor girl, doesn't even get remembered." YeongMi shook her head sadly.
Hyjoon pretended to cry, rubbing her nose and clutching onto YeongMi's arm as she pouted.
The teacher obviously didn't want to believe YeongMi, but risking hurting the young Hyjoon's feelings weighed on her chest, so she gave them one last suspicious look before walking off.
YeongMi and Hyjoon shared a glance before laughing, doing their best to be quiet as they stumbled around the corner.
After checking that no one was around, YeongMi pulled out a cigarette as Hyjoon stared.
"You become the talk of school and now you think that you're cool enough to smoke on school grounds?"
YeongMi laughed, "wasn't I always the talk of school?"
"Careful, someone might actually believe your arrogance."
YeongMi gave her a sour look, but didn't complain when Hyjoon took the cigarette and threw it to the pavement, grounding it down with her foot.
"With your luck, you'd set the school on fire."
YeongMi pulled a face, "but, would that really be such a bad thing?"
Hyjoon punched her shoulder, and YeongMi held her hands up in defense. "I mean, as long as everyone got out!" She thought for a second, "well, almost-" another punch from Hyjoon, "fine! Fine, whatever, whatever. Just go back to school you dumbass."
"Oh, dumbass. Wow, good one."
"You're not worth my good insults, 'Ju'."
"I'm hurt, really." Hyjoon sent her a sarcastic grin before running off, and YeongMi smiled softly to herself.
-
"Hey! Ju, how the fuck did you even get in here?"
"Lay off YeongMi, you're not the only one who can break rules. Besides, you're not asking Jungkook how he got here."
YeongMi smiled at Hyjoon, nodding her head. "Because I'm sure you had something to do with it."
Hyjoon gave her an innocent look, pointing to the side, where Namjoon and Yoongi stood by the bar. "Blame your lover boy, he's the one who found this place. I just snuck in."
They were at a nightclub in Seoul. Specifically, at CakeShop, one of the biggest clubs in Itaewon.
How Namjoon had found a way in, YeongMi had no idea, but she was impressed, as this nightclub was frequented by some of the top idols in Korea.
When she had told her brother, he had teased her about stalking G Dragon, but now that she was here, she wasn't even thinking about idols.
No, she was hardly thinking at all.
Instead, she was dancing, and strangers didn't feel like strangers, while friends felt like family.
It was good to forget, but it was ruined, as it always seemed to be, by none other than Bora.
Surrounded by her group of friends, she was more confident in front of YeongMi, as she had more back up than just Soma, who had previously proved to be less than helpful.
She even had the nerve to shove into YeongMi's shoulder as she walked past.
The confidence had turned her into a total idiot, apparently.
But YeongMi was just as fiery as always, and she grabbed Bora's elbow, her fingernails digging into the skin from her tight grasp as she pulled Bora back to face her.
"Why are you here, slut?"
"Bitch, why are you here?" YeongMi crossed her arms in front of her chest and glared.
"Because one day, I'm gonna be famous, and everyone is going to come here hoping to find me. You, on the other hand, don't belong here."
Oh, if only Bora knew, YeongMi was famous. Or, had been. And would be, if she wanted to be. Her reaction would be a sight to remember.
"Oh boo hoo, you're so upset that I'm here. What are you going to be famous for - being an insufferable bitch?"
Bora rolled her eyes, "ha, ha. Just wait and see YeongMi, you're gonna wish you were nice to me."
Oh no, she was gonna wish she was nice to YeongMi, if she ever found out the truth.
"I'll keep that in mind sweetheart, thanks."
"You're welcome," Bora stalked off, and YeongMi watched in amusement, for once not letting the younger girl bother her into having a bad time.
She turned away from the posse of sycophants, quickly getting grabbed by Hoseok, and she got lost in dancing, finding her mind emptied until nothing but the easy bliss of the music filled her.
But Bora wasn't done with her yet, and she showed off her own dance moves.
But she knew she needed more than moves to throw YeongMi off, and she knew just what to do.
Namjoon didn't even know what was happening. One moment he was talking to Jin, and the next he was smack in the middle of everything, standing in surprise as Bora danced circles around him.
YeongMi felt her chest tighten, but she did her best to ignore it.
Bora wasn't letting her though, and realization struck her like a slap - Bora was challenging her.
Oh, wrong move.
YeongMi wouldn't stoop to Bora's level, using Hoseok for her gain. However, unlike Namjoon, who, for all his brains was often clueless, Hoseok knew exactly what was going on.
As long as he got to dance, he didn't care, and he quickly grabbed YeongMi's hips, pulling her closer to him.
"Come on, we're the better dancers together, we got this."
"Well no doubt about that."
Bora never had a chance really, but it didn't stop her from trying. And how she tried, really hard. She got far more sexual than YeongMi had expected, and every moment seeing her brushing on Namjoon filled YeongMi's limbs with heated annoyance.
It took longer than YeongMi liked for Bora to step away from Namjoon, who had looked uncomfortable and tried to back away, clearly sensing the stand off between the two girls.
She sauntered over, throwing her chest out to instigate YeongMi, and her hair was pasted to her cheeks, sweat glowing on her face.
YeongMi towered over her, her hair sliding over her eyes before springing to the sides of her face.
"Well, look who's finally stepping into the adult themed dance. What, you got tired of the chicken dance? Tell me, who did you watch to learn those moves?"
"I watched you, slutbag." Bora's response didn't have the desired affect, and YeongMi smiled sweetly, holding a hand over her heart.
"Aw, sweetie, you watched me? I'm flattered."
Bora grumbled to herself before half-heartedly dancing.
"Sweetie, let me just put you out of your misery, stop, please." YeongMi held onto Bora's shoulder, looking down at her with a regretful look.
"Just let it go. I don't know what you're trying to prove, but you're not doing it. Just enjoy yourself and stop worrying about me," YeongMi winked at her before walking away.
She couldn't believe what she was doing, but the strobe lights seemed to fill her with enough crazy to keep her from resisting this urge.
When she reached him, she ran her hand down his neck before resting on his chest, and stared up at him.
She could feel the warmth seething into her palms, and she let herself enjoy it this time.
Namjoon didn't try to back away from her, and she smiled at how different he was with her dancing on him compared to Bora.
Just this once, she let go of her buried rage and had fun with him.
Maybe the fight was forgiven.
For tonight, at least.
