"Hey, I was looking for you."

"Well you found me," YeongMi looked at Hyjoon blankly, "just like every other day."

"Well jeez, someone's in a bad mood."

"Don't act so surprised, I always am."

"But this time, it's... badder."

YeongMi glanced over at Hyjoon, her face scrunched up, "badder? Badder. You mean worse."

"Whatever, I don't like your attitude."

"Okay, bye then."

Hyjoon sat down next to her despite YeongMi's farewell, copying YeongMi's pose, pulling her legs up to her chest.

"I guess I'm just too nice to leave you, what with how pathetic you seem without my company and everything."

YeongMi rolled her eyes, but a slight smile played at the corners of her lips, and Hyjoon bumped her shoulder victoriously.

"Oh yeah, so pathetic without you. I need you, I want you, oh baby, oh baby." YeongMi spoke in a bored tone, clearly making fun of Hyjoon, but she didn't care.

"Oh yeah, keep seducing me baby."

YeongMi calmly shoved away Hyjoon's arm before it could rest on her shoulders.

"See, that's what I mean. You wound me, my love." Hyjoon held a hand over her heart, sniffling a bit as YeongMi gave her a flat stare.

Slowly, slowly the corners of her lips upturned, and she, against her will, let out a small laugh.

Hyjoon grinned, laying an arm around her shoulders. This time, YeongMi only grabbed her hand, pulled Hyjoon's arm off her shoulders before resting her own arm across Hyjoon's shoulder, resulting in a strained hand holding mixed with an arm on her shoulder.

Noticing the awkward placement, she used her arm to pull Hyjoon closer to her, and lay a hand on her head, rustling her hair a little with a smirk.

"Ah, let go, it hurts."

"Love hurts, baby."

"It shouldn't hurt this bad."

"Oh, cry me a river."

"Actually, I cried a sea, can you see?"

"I see the sea."

"But do you see the sea when you see the sea?"

"I see the sea in the sea that I see."

"Okay, that's too much, I'm done."

"Ha, I win."

"Sure, can you let go of me now?"

YeongMi let out a long, thoughtful sigh before finally letting go of the smaller girl, who immediately rubbed her neck and scooted away.

"Hey, you're leaving me, you unloyal hoe."

"I will actually kill you."

"Can you reach any of my vital organs?"

"Shut up, just because you walk on stilts all the time-"

"Want to borrow them sometime?"

Hyjoon jumped on YeongMi, and they rolled around for a moment before YeongMi stood up with Hyjoon in her arms, and walked towards the water, and Hyjoon yelled out apologies so she wouldn't get soaked with her phone.

YeongMi considered doing it anyways, but decided against it, dropping Hyjoon on her butt in the sand before walking back to her spot in the sand.

She could see the divet in the sand from the hours she spent in that single spot, despite the wind blowing the sand across the dip.

Hyjoon crawled over, sighing loudly as she stared across at the sea. YeongMi ignored her, looking into the distance. Despite the hours she spent staring, she could never memorize every detail, as it was consistently changing, the only constant being that it was beautiful.

After a long moment of silence, Hyjoon broke the peace.

"Wow, this must get really boring."

YeongMi gave her a small glare, knowing that she was joking.

"Maybe for you, just because you have the attention span of a squirrel."

"Do they have short attention spans?"

YeongMi paused before laughing at Hyjoon. "I actually have no idea."

"Wow, quality insult, don't even know what you're saying."

"Hey, you don't either you rude ass."

"Such ugly language for such a pretty mouth."

"Aww, do you stare at my lips often?"

"Only whenever you're not insulting someone," Hyjoon grinned, "so not often, I suppose."

YeongMi rolled her eyes, sticking out her tongue slightly. "Wow, you're so cute."

Hyjoon scrunched her face up and smirked, "I think I'm adorable."

"Well, I think murder is adorable. Sometimes we're just wrong."

A voice interrupted them, and Jungkook meekly stood in front of them.

"Are you talking about me?"

YeongMi gave him an amused look while Hyjoon smiled innocently.

"Actually, we're talking about murder."

Jungkook smiled slightly, "ah, you're joking with me."

Neither of the girls spoke, and his face fell in uncertainty. "You... you are joking, right?"

YeongMi shook her head gravely, "oh dear Jungkook, you heard too much now."

"You should have just walked away, now we have to.... damn."

The girls stood up and slowly approached the boy, who looked rather nervous, taking hesitant steps backwards.

After a shared look, Hyjoon jumped on Jungkook, and YeongMi quickly grabbed them, squishing them up in a tight hug. Seeing Jungkook's amused, if not still slightly nervous, face, she gave him a hard kiss on the head, laughing loudly.

Behind her, the sunset fell slowly, waiting to remind YeongMi of her misfortunes and woes.
