2. The Start

YeongMi miraculously managed to keep her disrespectful retorts at a low enough volume to avoid getting into more trouble.

Her second teacher had graciously given her a pair of school slippers, and YeongMi had decided that she liked her. So far, she was the only one. This school did not impress YeongMi.

Though, the boys from her first class had piqued her interest. She was almost looking forward to lunch, just so she could examine them more and make something of them. They could prove to be entertaining.

Lunch came soon enough, and YeongMi gracefully entered the classroom, grinning widely at the annoyed teacher.

"Teacher, I'm here to have lunch with you!" YeongMi then noticed the handful of students in the class already.

There was an annoyed boy with mint hair, glaring at the wall uninterested. Next to him was a small, muscular boy that was smirking at her, a playful glint in his eyes. She brushed it off for now, sweeping her eyes across the rest of the rejects.

There was a boy with slanted eyes and a rectangular smile who was playing on his phone, his slender fingers slamming on the screen furiously. Next to him was a boy that looked like he was stuck between a flirtatious look and a look of horror. He quickly looked away when she met his eyes, and she laughed. He must be younger than the rest.

Smack in the middle, there was a boy with generous features who was resting his chin on what looked like a Mario plushie, looking bored.

She recognized the two in the very back. Smirking, she slipped between the desks to them, sitting next to Namjoon and giving him a cheeky wink.

"So it is my lucky day." Namjoon grinned, and YeongMi nodded in agreement, laughing as the other boys turned around and shuffled closer.

She guessed they all knew each other, based on the mingling conversations and comfortable, familiar interactions.

Everyone began to pull out their lunches, and YeongMi put her feet up on the desk, leaning back and putting her hands behind her head so that she could relax a bit.

"Are you not eating?!" She looked up at the silky voice, seeing the Mario boy staring at her in disbelief. She noticed the vast amount of food on his desk, but quickly brushed over it.

"I was supposed to buy one in the canteen." She shrugged, clearly not worried about it.

"Are you hungry?" Before she could even answer, the boy shoved his spoon into her mouth, and she nearly choked on the food.

"Hey, be careful, stupid." The mint haired boy had turned away from the wall to look at the others.

YeongMi tried her best to eat the food gracefully, and when she finished she smiled thanks to the boy.

"That's Jin, he's very, enthusiastic, about food. Then, I'm your hope, Hoseok, and that's Yoongi, Taehyung, and the baby, Jungkookie."

YeongMi couldn't see the flirtatious boy, and she nearly jumped when she felt someone slip beside her.

"That's Jimin. He's a hoe, don't mind him."

YeongMi looked at him, amused, as he licked his lips and smiled at her.

"Want some food?" His voice was sultry, but there was an innocent undertone that YeongMi found funny. She shook her head, turning away from him.

"Want some tea?" She shook her head again, fighting the smile on her face as he leaned over her desk. He was certainly laying it on thick.

So far, these boys were the best entertainment she had found so far.

"Want to make out?" She may have been shocked, but she was expecting something like this; his eyes were screaming sex at her.

She turned her head slowly, biting her lip and looking up to the ceiling like she was thinking.

"Hmmm.... No." Jimin laughed, shrugging and turning back to Yoongi, resuming his conversation like nothing had happened. Evidently he had expected it too.

"Well, now you know the group." She turned to Namjoon, raising her eyebrows at his questioning glance.

"Well?"

"Well what?" She crossed her arms over her stomach and moved her feet to the floor, trying not to look too bored.

"What do you think?" Namjoon was waiting for her response, and she was curious why he was so interested. She was a nobody as far as he was concerned, so why did he care? It didn't make sense. Then again, nothing seemed to make any sense anymore.

"Of you guys?" She waited as she noticed everyone begin to stop their conversations and listen to her, and she wanted to laugh. Everyone seemed to be holding their breath, waiting for her response.

She almost felt special, seeing them listening closely for what she was going to say. She tried not to let it get to her head.

"You guys are the most interesting thing in this place." They all seemed to sigh, some looking relieved.

She didn't understand, they didn't know her, and from what she could tell, they weren't the type to care about what other people thought of them. So then why?

Could they have somehow already found out about her parents? She hoped not. She wanted to keep that quiet for as long as she could.

Hoseok even squealed happily, grabbing her hands and shaking them in his excitement.

"Just for now! You better not turn out to be boring like everyone else, I like you guys." She looked away from them, pretending to be uninterested, but the smile on her face gave her away, and she heard some of them coo and teasingly mock her.

Normally she wouldn't let anyone get away with that, but she knew they weren't serious, so she let it slide for now.

"Who do you like the best?" She looked up at Jimin's cute face, and she laughed lightly.

She took a moment to look at each and every one of them before waving her hand carelessly and looking down.

"I don't know you guys enough, and even if I do have a favourite, I wouldn't tell you. That way you can all think you're the favourite." She grinned, winking at a flustered Jungkook before standing up.

"Where are you going?"

YeongMi pointed upwards, and as if on cue, the teacher dismissed them for the next class.

"I've got a new lesson to terrorize." She grinned at the group of boys before walking out of the classroom.
