Chapter 9:

"There you two are. We were wondering where you were hiding." Ron raised his eyebrows and had a huge grin plastered across his face as he stared down at us.

"Did you guys have some fun?" Gabby asked, snuggling closer into Ron.

Ron had his hand firmly planted on Gabby's backside. Those two were getting awfully comfortable together tonight. Ron seemed like a nice enough guy, a little flirty, but I wasn't too worried about that. I had seen my fair share of terrible men and he definitely wasn't one of them. Those two could be good together.

"A blast," Cam said as he lifted his leg over the bike to climb off.

"Yeah, it looks like it." Ron was laughing when he caught a peek of Cam shifting uncomfortably, trying to secretly readjust himself.

The three of them began to creep away from where I was still firmly seated. I was finding it extremely difficult to make my legs work.

"Hey, Jess, you coming?" Gabby called back to me.

"Already did." Bad Jessa sang out, patting herself on the back.

"Way to go, Nash." Ron hooted at him.

When I looked up, Ron was smacking Cameron on the back like a proud Papa congratulating his son on his first home run. Gabby was hanging on to Ron's shoulder as she fought to catch her breath. Her loud cackle cut through the restaurant causing multiple heads to turn in our direction.

Did I say that out loud? Shit.

Cameron was fighting back his laughter when he walked back over to help me climb off. He grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet. My knees were shaking underneath me as he stood tall over top of me and smoldered down.

"Hey, Jessa and I are going to head back to my place," Cam called back to them without removing his determined gray eyes from mine. The look on Cameron's face was screaming that he was about to pin me against the wall and fuck me.

I swallowed as I looked up at him. We may have had a brief second of unplanned fun, but I was not ready to be with him again intimately. My heart started racing and I felt like I was going to pass out. This was too much for my fragile scrambled brain.

To be honest, being alone with him again terrified me in a way I couldn't explain.

"You two should come hang out too." I blurted out as I leaned around Cameron to look at Ron and Gabby. I had to break the spell Cameron was putting me under. It would be a lot more difficult for him to keep giving me the look that turned me into grape jelly if there were other people in the room.

Cameron's stance hardened and his jaw went rigid. His annoyance with me was written all over his body language. He looked down and turned his head in angry disbelief.

"It's the polite thing to do," I whispered just loud enough for him to hear and pulled at one of the buttons on his shirt. He shook his head and bit the inside of his cheek to keep himself from yelling at me.

"Are you in, Gabby?" Ron asked her.

Gabby gave Ron a cutesy smile back, telling him there was no other place she would rather be.

"I guess that means we are all going back to my place," Cameron said through clenched teeth. He looked like an angry teddy bear right now.

We walked back over to our table and asked for the check from our waitress. She came back a few minutes later and began to hand it to me. Cameron snatched it out of my hands. I tried to grab it and he brought it around his back just out of my reach.

We performed a dance as he wiggled back and forth, trying to keep it away from me. I pushed him onto the table and leaned over him as far as I could to grab the check out of his thieving hands.

"Hey, those weren't the rules. Give it to me, Cami. I want it now." I complained as he continued to fight me over it.

"Don't worry, Jess, I think you're about to get exactly what you want tonight." Ron laughed as he watched us.

I looked down and realized Cam's ass was planted firmly on the table. I was positioned over him with one of my knees next to his thigh. I was practically on his lap, straddling him. I was literally about to mount the boy right in the middle of the restaurant.

What the hell were we doing?

"That's incredibly hot." Gabby was watching us with amused eyes.

"Want to go try it out? The table over there is free." Ron pointed to the table across from us as he shimmied closer to her.

"After you." She pinched his butt, causing him to jump high in the air.

"You little vixen." He cooed at her and kissed her cheek before turning to talk to Cameron. "Hey man, we're going to head over to your place now. We'll meet you there."

Ron wrapped his arm around Gabby and they turned to head towards the door.

"Ahem." Cameron cleared his throat and looked down, reminding me that I was still in a very compromising position.

I jumped back from him and saw him breathing a little heavier than before. He straightened out his shirt and looked around the room before reaching down to adjust himself for the second time tonight. He grabbed the little book with the check in it and carried it in front of him as he walked to the counter to pay.

I followed him and hung back near the front door to wait for him. I only did it because I secretly wanted to watch him just a little longer. I doubted that he would even notice me still standing there.

He leaned over the counter and gave the hostess a little flirty smile. She was grinning at him with hearts in her eyes. Cam handed her his card and continued to talk to her while she swiped it. She handed him the receipt to sign and drew a smiley face on it. She was giggling the whole time he filled it out with his classic stupid grin on his face.

How fucking cute. Maybe he should ask her to go home with him instead of me. I bet she would put out for him. All he would have to do is pull out his dick to slap her in the face with it a few times and she would be all his for the evening.

Asshole.

My fists were clenched while I watched Cameron flirting with her and her lapping it up like a saucer of milk. My claws were out. The most insane part about all of this was that I was jealous and there was absolutely no reason I should be. Cameron and I weren't together. He could be with anyone he wanted. It's not like I had him on a leash or anything.

"That could be fun." Bad Jessa nodded excitedly.

I wished she would learn to shut up once in a while.

Cameron turned his head back to find me and winked when he caught me staring. His eyes were tracing my body, scorching the spots they lingered over. This boy was going to singlehandedly throw me off balance tonight.

I fanned myself and turned around to avoid that damn gaze that was burning me alive. The room had gotten a little stuffy and I needed the air. I felt like I was going to melt into a puddle on the floor.

Who turned the air conditioning off?

"Are you a little warm, darling?" Cam whispered in my ear and I jumped. He slid his hand over the bare skin on my hip as he passed. He took my hand in his and led me outside behind him.

I started to walk to my car so I could follow Cam over. I didn't want to leave it here and I needed the drive time to cool off a bit. I still wasn't sure what I felt about what was going on between us. Hopefully, tonight I would be able to straighten out my brain when it came to Cameron. All I knew was that my body still craved him in the worst way, but my head was still telling me it wasn't ready for him to be back in my life.

"Where's your truck?" I asked, looking around the parking lot for the familiar black monster. It wasn't hard to miss and I was surprised when I couldn't find it.

Cam laughed and began to walk over to one of the motorcycles in the lot. He grabbed the helmet off the bike and slipped it on over his head.

That asshole. When did he get that thing?

"You cheated!" I screamed back at him.

"I wasn't the one who picked the game." He said, kicking his leg over the bike. He revved the engine and peeled out of the lot while I double saluted him.

Another fine mess I had gotten myself into tonight.

When I pulled up to Cam's house about 10 minutes later, the three of them were hanging out on the porch waiting for me. Gabby was hanging around Ron's neck as he nuzzled her ear. Hands were in lots of places they shouldn't have been. These two were getting pretty frisky.

Cam unlocked the door to let us in and flipped on the lights.

"Hey man, we're um..." Ron said, laughing, and guided Gabby back to the guest bedroom without finishing the conversation.

So much for my plan to avoid any more alone time with Cameron.

"He does realize she is like his Mom's age." Cam shook his head in disbelief. He quietly placed his keys on the kitchen counter and then walked back out to where I was standing awkwardly in the living room.

"She's sweet, Cam," I said, chastising him. "She's my only friend."

"I was your friend once." He said, looking down at his feet.

Loud giggling interrupted us, cutting through the suffocating tension in the room. I glanced back towards the hall when I heard Ron talking about pulling off her panties with his teeth. This couldn't be any more uncomfortable.

I was standing there gawking at the shut door when the loud moaning reverberated through the room. I could hear the headboard smacking rhythmically against the wall. That was fast.

Cam looked down at me through his too-long eyelashes.

"Should we turn on the tv?" I suggested wanting to do anything I could to cover up the noise.

"No. Come on. Let's go to my room, we can shut the door so we don't have to hear this." He took my hand and practically ripped my arm out of the socket as he pulled me down the hall towards his bedroom.

When we passed the guest bedroom, we could hear Ron and Gabby really going to town in there. I felt bad thinking about Cam having to deal with the mess afterward.

That thought lasted about five seconds until he opened his mouth again.

"Want to see if we can be louder?" He suggested as we stood just outside his bedroom door.

"Not going to happen."
