I had been keeping a pretty big secret from Josh the past few weeks. The day after Evie ran away I found out that I was pregnant due to the health checks at work to clear me to go back to in-ring competition.

I lied to him telling him that my wrist still needed more time to heal, but it was fine. The only other person who knew was Trin and she swore to secrecy until I announced it to Josh.

I was 10 weeks along, meaning that I had gotten pregnant right before Evie came to me. I had my first ultrasound last week and was shocked to find out that I was having twins.

Thankfully I was able to hide my tiny bump by wearing Josh's shirts, but I knew I needed to tell him soon. I just didn't know how.

I thought about it as I worked on getting the laundry caught up. That I was going to have Evie tell Josh, and his family members since they were coming over for dinner tonight.

I decided to pull her aside and tell her right before having her run outside to the guys carrying the ultrasound pictures.

"Hey baby we're home," Josh says, coming into the house with bags of groceries. I walk out of the bedroom and gently kiss him

"Where's Evie?"

Seconds later, Evie comes in holding a few bags of her own "Hi mommy" she says excitedly. She puts her bags on the floor and hugs me.

"Show Mommy what you got for her Evie," Josh says

Evie picks up a bag and takes out my favorite scented bubble bath and favorite candy, handing them both to me

"Did you pick these out?" I ask

"She nods, "Daddy helped too,"

I gently kiss her cheek, "Thank you Evie,"

"Hey where's mine?" Josh asks

I stand up and gently kiss his lips, "Thank you babe,"

"You're welcome. Why don't you go relax while I start cooking,"

"Can I help?" Evie asks

"Of course you can princess,"

I take the bubble bath and go into the master bathroom to put it away. I knew we'd have family arriving soon, so I'd save the bubble bath for later today.

I walk back out into the kitchen and sit down at the island, watching Evie help Josh cook. It was cute seeing how patient he was with her as she dumped stuff into the bowl and mixed it together.

"Can I do anything to help?" I ask

"I got it babe. Just relax,"

"Yeah Mommy we got it," Evie says

"I guess I'll just have to be bored then,"

"You really want to help?" He asks

"Yeah, you know Iove helping you cook,"

"Alright you can chop the veggies while we finish making the dessert and marinade,"

I got up and got all of the vegetables out of the fridge and grabbed the cutting board. I grabbed a knife and carefully started chopping everything.

"Be careful you don't cut yourself," he says

"I won't, I'm being careful,"

I was almost done when my finger slipped and I cut myself. "Ow," I say,pulling my finger back. I grab a paper towel and wipe off the little bit of blood. Thankfully it wasn't a bad cut

"So much for being careful,"

"My finger slipped,"

"Are you okay Mommy?" Evie asks

"Yeah, it's just a little cut. I'm okay sweetheart,"

Evie jumps down off of her stool and runs off, coming back a minute later with one of her princess Band-Aids.

"Thank you sweetheart," I say, gently kissing the top of her head

"I'll finish up with the knife so you don't hurt yourself again," Josh says

"I'm sorry" I say quietly.

Josh gently kisses my lips, "I'm not mad baby. I just don't want you to get hurt again,"

"I just feel like I can't do anything right,"

"Not true baby. You're doing everything right. Accidents happen,"

I hear the front door open as members of his family start to arrive. Evie runs to hug her uncles as they walk into the kitchen. All of the noise becomes overwhelming and I quietly sneak to our bedroom, sitting on the bed to calm down a bit.

Once I hear them going outside I start to put my plan into action. I walk into Evie's room where she was playing with her toys and sat down on her bed.

"You wanna help me surprise daddy and your uncles in a little bit?"

"what surprise?" She asks

"Well you know how you've been asking us for a sister?"

She nods, "Am I getting a sister?" She asks excitedly

"Maybe two. There's two babies in my belly," I pull out the ultrasound pictures and show her. "See these are your babies,"

She squeals with excitement and touches my stomach "I love my babies," she says

"I think all of your uncles are here. Here's how we're to surprise them. I'm going to give you the pictures of the babies, you're going to run them out and hand them to daddy,"

We walk to the kitchen and wait by the backdoor, I hand Evie the ultrasound pictures and open the door watching as she runs outside. I walked slowly behind her, waiting until she handed Josh the pictures. As soon as he had them in his hands, I approached him with a big smile on my face

"Wait is this for real?" Josh asks

I nod, "it's real,"

He hugs me tightly, "I can't believe it,"

I look over to see Evie showing her uncles the ultrasound pictures. I could see how happy she was to finally be a big sister. Within moments we were surrounded by his family, all of them excited about the newest additions to the family.

"How far along are you?" Josh asks

"Ten weeks three days, I've known for two weeks but didn't know how to tell you,"

"You got pregnant right before Backlash," he says in shock

I nod, "turns out Joe was right in Scotland. I was pregnant but didn't know,"

"How did you not know until you were 8 weeks? You should have known before then," Joe asks

"I thought the implantation bleeding was my period, that's why. I didn't find out until I was trying to get cleared to wrestle again,"

"I'm still just in shock that we're having a baby," Josh says

"Babe look at the ultrasound pictures again. There are two babies,"

"Twins?" He asks

I show him the pictures again, "here's baby A and here's baby B,"

"Holy shit, there's two,"

"Language Joshua,"

"Sorry I'm just shocked,"

"You think I wasn't. Thank God I had Trin there with me,"

"She knew," Josh and Jon ask at the same time.

"Yes and she swore secrecy because I know Jon can't keep his mouth shut,"

"I'm a little hurt she knew before me. I am the dad," Josh says

"We were in the trainers room together getting our physicals done. That's the only reason why she knew before you did,"

"Why did you wait another two weeks to tell me?"

"I wanted to make sure everything was good before I told you. Then I had to figure out how I was going to tell you,"

"A simple hey Josh I'm pregnant would have worked,"

"Are you really acting like this right now? I tried to figure out something cute to tell you. Not just mention it in passing,"

Instead of waiting for his reply, I walked away. I couldn't believe how he was acting right now. I go back inside and lock myself in our room. Not wanting to talk to him right now

After a few minutes, I hear a knock on the door. "Hey babe, open the door," he says

"Why so you can get upset again?"

"Callie please," he says

I unlock the door and walk back to the bed. Josh comes in the room and crouches down, looking me in the eyes.

"I'm sorry for getting upset. I just wanted to be the first person to find out once you knew,"

"It wasn't intentional Josh. I promise,"

"I know it wasn't. I love you, and I love our children," he says placing his hand on my stomach. I lift my shirt slightly to show him the bump "that's why you've been stealing my shirts," he says

"They're growing quick and making me feel huge already,"

"Still beautiful to me no matter what,"

"Is the food almost done? I'm starving,"

"Yeah, everyone else is out there eating. I snuck inside to apologize and come get you,"

"You better hope there's still food Joshua,"

"I put some to the side, just for you,"

We walk out together holding hands. Josh leads me over to our own little table and pulls out my chair "I'll bring you a plate," he says.

So many thoughts ran through my mind as I waited for my food. Could I handle three kids plus an overgrown child of a boyfriend? How would this affect my career? Would grant find out? If he did would he hurt me?

I look around and the worries started to melt away. I knew that no matter what, my kids and I were going to be safe and protected
