Tonight was a huge night for the bloodline with the coming debut of our new members. Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu.

I wasn't sure how Evie was going to handle it. I almost wondered if I would be better off to stay at the hotel with her, but Josh and the others convinced me to be there so I could meet them.

"You're worried for nothing, you know that right?" Josh asks

"I don't know dude, you saw how long it took her to fully warm up to me," Sefa says

"That's what I'm worried about," I say

"He's no more scary looking than Sefa. I'm sure she's going to be fine."

A few minutes later, the three of them walk in, loudly greeting everyone. Almost as soon as I stood up Evie hid behind my legs, tightly holding onto me.

"Oh she's fine alright," I say to Josh

He picks her up and holds her in his arms, "It's okay Evie, they're just more uncles who are going to spoil you," he says

Eventually the three of them made it to us. Evie  wiggles from Josh's grip and jumps into my arms. Her full weight landed on my bad wrist.

"Whose this pretty girl?" Jacob asks

"This is my girlfriend Callie and her daughter Evie," Josh says

"I see someone's a little shy," Tama says, acknowledging Evie hiding her face in my shoulder.

"She's a little scared by men. She'll warm up to you guys eventually," I say

"Watch princess movies, play Barbies or give her snacks and she'll come around real quick," Josh says

"He's not wrong. Day one she had Josh, Jon and Joe wrapped around her finger. Sefa took a little longer,"

"But now I'm the favorite uncle," Sefa says

"No I am," Jon says

"Whose your favorite Evie?" I ask her

"Auntie Trin," she says

"But who's your favorite uncle?" Jon asks

"I love all my uncles," she says

"Even your new uncles?" I ask

She shakes her head, "he's scary looking,"

"You thought Uncle Sefa was too, remember?"

"Because he looks like daddy,"

"But he's nothing like him though. I'm sure your new uncles are going to make you feel just as happy and safe,"

Once I got her calmed down, I set her down on the couch and gave her the tablet and headphones so she could watch TV.

"Her dad's lucky I didn't kill him the other day," Sefa says

"What happened?" Jacob asks

"About a month and a half ago I got full custody of her because her biological dad was abusing her. Now that he's gone through anger management and counseling he's trying to get her back. He even attacked me at the airport yesterday,"

"I was close to beating his ass," Jon says

"That makes sense why she's afraid of bigger men ," Tama says

"She'll come around. It might take a few days, but soon enough she'll be snuggled up in your laps too,"

"At least she's not hiding or clinging to you, that's a good sign," Loa says

"I had to sit her down. She was hurting my wrist,"

"The one you broke?" Josh asks

I nod, "when she jumped into my arms she landed right on it,"

"If your stubborn ass would wear the brace they gave you,"

"I don't have it with me. I forgot to pack it,"

"You shouldn't have taken it off Callie. I swear you never listen,"

I looked down at my feet, trying to fight back the tears. In the five months we had dated he never raised his voice out of frustration.

"Come on Josh, let's go to catering. You need a minute to cool down," Jon says

The boys leave the room leaving just Evie and I in the room together. I go into the bathroom and finally allow the tears to fall.

After a few minutes, I composed myself and walked back out to the locker room. I sat down on the couch and blankly stared at my phone.

It felt like an eternity before Josh and Jon came back into the room. Jon takes Evie to catering leaving just Josh and I.

"I'm sorry Callie. I shouldn't have gotten frustrated and raised my voice at you. I just want you to take care of yourself." He says. Tears start to flow as I tried to think of what to say. "Baby why are you crying?" He asks, noticing my tears.

"I forgot to put it back on after my shower yesterday. I was in a hurry and left it sitting on the counter. I didn't mean to forget it,"

He pulls me into his lap and holds me close, "I'm not mad baby,"

"I'm sorry," I say

"For what?" He asks

"Being forgetful sometimes and not always taking care of myself,"

"You don't need to apologize baby. I'm sorry I raised my voice and got frustrated,"

"I forgive you,"

He gently kisses my lips, "let's go to catering with the others"

"I'm not really hungry, but I'll go with you,"

"Can you at least try to eat a little bit for me?"

"Yeah, I can try,"

Josh holds my hand as we walk to catering. As soon as we walk in the room, Josh and I walk to the tables that were lined with food to make our plates. I put a few things on the plate and walked over to the table where the others were sitting and sat down. Evie was sitting in Jon's lap, watching her show as she ate. Josh sits next to me and joins in on the conversation his brothers were having. I picked at my food, only really taking a bite when Josh looked my way.

"You alright babe?" He asks

"Yeah, I'm fine," I looked over to see Evie fast asleep in Jon's arms. "I'll take her back to the locker room,"

"I don't mind Callie," Jon says

"Im gonna lay with her for a bit,"

I carefully pick her up and carry her back to the locker room and lay on the couch with her on my chest. I was hoping that I was just tired from Jetlag, and not because I was getting sick.

I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep when I heard the door open and several loud voices entered the room. I pretended to be asleep as I listened to them talk.

"They're asleep," I hear Jon say

"I hope she's okay, she's been acting weird lately," Josh says

"Weird how?" Sefa asks

"She's been sleeping a lot, doesn't eat much and she's been more emotional,"

"Is she pregnant?" Joe asks

"I don't think so. She hasn't said anything atleast,"

"Maybe she's just stressed because of everything going on. She had her life flipped upside down in less than 24 hours. She's probably just stressed," Jon says

"I just hate seeing her like that. I wish I could help her somehow,"

"You are. You accepting her as she is and loving her daughter ass your own has helped lighten her burden. The moment Evie started calling you dad was healing for both of them. I think she's just freaked out because what's going on now,"

"I'm working on making sure he never gets to see her again and loses all parental rights. As soon as I marry Callie, I'm adopting Evie as my own,"

"You still planning to propose soon?" Sefa asks

"Yeah, I'm just waiting on the right moment. She knows it's coming. We talked about me adopting Evie last night,"

"Bloodline you're on in 10," someone yells into the room.

I feel Josh's lips on mine before the room gets quiet again. I started to fall asleep as I listened to the sound of the TV behind me.
