Filene and Benjamin

Version 1

It's Not a Bad Thing

"Look Mr. Benjamin, I dunno why you are looking at me like that but you not getting anything from me." Filene blurted out before getting off the seat and making her way out of the library.

The young faced vampire was quick to follow her. "And what exactly is it that you think I want?"

Filene turned to face him, shrugging. "I don't know what you red eyes want! Maybe my blood, maybe even my body but I am telling you right now I will bring out my silver bat!"

Ben grins. "What? Not a silver hammer?"

Her eyes almost bulged out before shaking her head and turning away from the man. "Okay love the Beatles reference there but I am still saying no to whatever you want."

"What if what I want is not your blood, but you?" was his reply.

The girl paused, eye widening as the words processed inside her brain before continuing her way back to her room. Only to stop as the vampire suddenly appeared in front of her making her groan in indignation. "Ugh I hate it when you guys do that!"

"Said all I want from you, is to see you tomorrow, and every tomorrow." He sang, making Filene blink at him. "Maybe you'll let me borrow, your heart and is it too much to ask for every Sunday? An while we're at it throw in every other day to start."

Seeing as the man was not going to get out of her way she decided to turn towards the garden and hopefully he would get the picture.

"I know people make promises all the time." Apparently not. "Then they turn right around and break them. When someone cuts your heart open with a knife and you're bleeding."

The images of Bella and Jake forced themselves up front in her mind; seeing Jake look at Bella like she was everything and that stupid kiss. It did help the feels she had been trying to let go of after all these months, and it certainly helping Ben's case in letting her give him a chance.

"But I could be that guy to heal it over time." He sings, walking up close to her and gently holding her hands. "And I won't stop until you believe it,'cause baby you're worth it."

Filene scoffs. "Oh yeah crazy Swan who become a furry she-hulk and can't even hold a candle to Bella Swan, totally worth everyone's time."

Pulling her hands away from his she fast walks across the courtyard praying Bree or Riley or hell even the other red eyes to make Ben stop whatever the hell he was doing!

Ben - as gently as he could – stops Filene's march and pulls her back to him, looking straight into her eyes. "So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me, cause you might fuck around and find your dreams come true with me."

Filene almost choked on her spit to hear him swear.

"Spend all your time and your money just to find out that my love was free." He tells her, bringing his hands from her shoulders to her cheeks. "So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me, me. It's not a bad thing to fall in love with me, me."

"Look it is not you it is me." Filene winced at saying such a cliche thing as she tries to pull Ben's hold on her face. "I have a bad reputation with guys and I still trying to get past it, really I am but this really isn't the time-"

"Filene." Ben interrupts shaking his head at her. "It is not your fault, it was whoever lost your trust in them. You have been hiding in your hurt feelings too long now and I do not ever want to see the day where you are not smiling at Bree's chats about missing food or teasing Riley about his crazy nights as a college student. If you give me a chance Filly, I could show exactly the kind of love you deserve.

He places his forehead against hers, closing his eyes and breathing in the scent that came from her; trees, the earth and just a hint of his childhood favourite sweets from oh so many years ago, Qatayef.

"And be becoming a furry is not kicking the 'get the fuck out' signal in your brain there Vampy?" Filene had to ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ben smirks before opening his eyes again. "I like trouble and I like dogs."

Filene snorts, pulling her head away to cover nose and mouth from any more laughter to escape her. It was too late Ben was already smiling in triumph as he puts his arms around her waist and pulls her closer to him.

"Now how about I be the last voice you hear tonight?" He winks at her, making her face feel super warm. "And every other night for the rest of the nights that there are and every morning I just wanna see you staring back at me 'cause I know that's a good place to start."

'Oh he thinks he is so smooth!' She thinks rolling her eyes looking away from him. 'And it is working... dammit!'

"I know people make promises all the time then they turn right around and break them." Ben gives her a comforting squeeze, keeping eye contact with her. "Then someone cuts your heart open with a knife, now you're bleeding, don't you know that I could be that guy to heal it over time and I won't stop until you believe it cause baby you're worth it!"

"You are so freakin cheesy dude." she mumbles looking towards the fountain.

"Then it must be working better than I thought." he replies. "Bree says you adore cheesy."

"... Remind me to go and kick that girl's ass." she growls.

Ben chuckles before leaning in...

Now Version 2!

"Pretend within your hand, you're holding a glass made out of crystal-"

Filene was not amused with Benjamin's singing whatsoever, especially when he is instructing her in something so she interrupts. "I'll smash your face with it!"

Ben just smiles in amusement before lowering the arm down and taking her other hand. "Then with this hand, try and reach for those apple blossoms that are fragile-"

"With this hand, I will break your neck... seriously what are you doing?" Filene inquires as he began moving around the rooms and dragging her along.

"Just arch your back." He continues, placing his hand on her back making her do exactly what he told her before bending her backwards and sweeping her across the floor. "Sweep the night away."

Filene was having none of this or his crap and lifted herself back up to stand before the vampire, trying to pull herself away from him. "Who do you think- let me go- do you think you are? Now give me my bat and I will club you like seal! Let me go! Do you think I am you prey? Some weak exotic bird?!"

Ben shook his head pulling her back to him. "No, you are Filene! You are, you are Filene! You are changing the world for me, you are heaven sent; a vision of golden light falling, just look at me... look into my eyes-"

Filene didn't looking over his shoulder. "But dude... there's procedure in talking-"

"Did you go to school? Or did you home schooled?" he interrupts tilting his head at her curiously.

Filene blinked at him. "What? it's incredible that I am above you – moral wise- yet you still talk down to me."

Benjamin chuckles. "You're adorable."

Filene stares at the man weirdly. "You're meant to be solemn like all the other vampires!"! Or at least psychotic

Ben smiles. "I have never been solemn in my life, alive or otherwise."

"Okay, then why are we dancing?" She asks.

"No idea!" He laughs. "I've never danced."

"Neither have I." She confessed quietly before frowning at him again. "Stop it! Let me go!"

But the darn man wasn't listening to her, she would have to recommend ear cleaners to Amun to get the sand out of his ears.

"Open your frame, that's it!" He encouraged. "Now roll your lovely neck, just a touch. To the music, gently swing those hips."

Okay seriously what was going on?!

"This is confus- I could kill- it is so confusing, I want to tear you into strips! You are a dull self-obsessed Casanova... but those lips." Filene got a little distracted before shaking her head and giving him a fierce look. "I'm not a furry freak!"

Ben frowns a touch before shaking his head. "No, you are Filene! You are, you are Filene! You are changing the world for me, you are heaven sent; a vision of golden light falling, light falling... look down."

Filene looks back at him and stares at him for a moment before looking down and away feeling very confused at her heart pounding and prayed he was ignoring the sound. "I just don't know what to say to you."

Benjamin took her face in his hands and made her look back at him. "Just look at me, look into my eyes."

"But good sir-"

"I will never no never do you harm." He vowed to her.

She searches his face and felt herself soften a bit. "Never do me harm."

He shook his head. "I will never no never do you harm."

And with that he leans down to her...

Author's Note: Okay and now back to the actual fanfic, hope you all enjoyed these two versions of musicals that were stuck in my head.
