Dinosaurs On a Spaceship - Two

Amy walked with Jenny through what looked like a laboratory. "Bit of weed killer wouldn't go amiss in here." The redhead muttered.

"Whoever was running this vessel left in a hurry," Riddell commented.

"Maybe a plague came and took them," Nefertiti suggested.

"No, there'd be corpses and bones."

"Unless the animals ate them."

"Whoa, Chuckle Brothers." Amy cut them off. "Lighten up, would you?"

"Amy," Jenny called over her shoulder spotting a monitor like the one her parents used before they disappeared. She noticed a keyboard much like one on Earth and lightly dusted it before starting to type away.

"What is she doing?" Nefertiti asked looking over the blondes and Amys' shoulder.

"I'm looking for any information on whose ship this is." She replied her hands flying over the keyboard.

"How'd you know how to do that?" She curiously asked.

"My parents."

"And I've spent enough time with the Doctor to know whenever you enter somewhere new, press buttons." Amy added finding a disk nearby.

"What else have you learned from him?" Nefertiti questioned crossing her arms.

"Don't stop at button pressing." She inserted the disc into the computer which buzzed before a male voice began to speak. "One hundred and seventeen years."

Amy smiled high fiving Jenny. "Data records."

Riddell looked between them. "The ship's owners?"

"Could be. Come on." She smiled. "Help us out."

"-Mainly cryogenic. I will continue to work-"

"How about a picture, huh?" Amy smiled at the screen again before huffing and hitting it. "Come on, for me."

"Far beyond our-" Jenny frowned and Amy blinked in shock at what appeared on the screen. A green-scaled creature was looking right at them, or what was supposedly a camera.

"Look." Nefertiti breathed. "Oh, it's beautiful."

"I can't tell how far we have come. Far enough to avoid the destructive impact forecast for our planet. Far enough for me to feel a profound sense of loss."

Riddell frowned looking slightly disgusted. "What is that?"

Amy looked over her shoulder at him. "Silurians.

The Time Lords followed the robots. "You're going straight on the naughty step."

"What's the escape plan?" Brian whispered to the Doctor.

"Why do we want to escape?"

"They have us hostage."

"They're taking us somewhere," Rory informed. "We might learn from it."

The Stone grinned and the Doctor pinched the mans cheeks. "Oh, you see?" He told Brian. "He's so clever. I've missed you, Rory."

"Don't do that." The Stone chuckled and patted the poor mans in sympathy before she grinned and hugged Rory. "But yes we have missed you Rory."

"Excuse me." The Doctor blinked. "Husband!" He pointed at himself.

"Shut up." The Stone rolled her eyes at the Time Lord. "He's my companion, I'm allowed to hug him."

"Fine." He pouted.

"What if they kill us?" Brian asked, bringing them all back to the matter at hand.

"They wouldn't do that. You're not going to kill us, are you, Rusty?"

"Who are you calling Rusty?"

"Have you seen yourselves lately?"The Stone raised a brow at them.

"You try being on this ship for two millennia." One of the robots replied. "See how your paintwork does."

"Don't listen to her." The second cut in. "She's just being mean because we captured her."

"We had a robot dog smarter than you." The Time Lady snorted and the Doctor smirked. "And we're following willingly, you haven't captured me Rusty."

Brian spotted something. "Oh, my goodness." He gasped at a Triceratops walked towards them.

"Ooo!" The Doctor grinned running over to it. "Herbivore. Don't panic. Triceratops. Ha! Beautiful." He patted the side of its head. The Stone smiled and followed him.

"Shall I shoot it?" The second robot asked making the Stone shoot it a dark look.

"We're not supposed to shoot the creatures, stupid." The other robot said ignoring her.

"Stop calling me stupid." The robots argued.

The triceratops roared and the Doctor smiled at it. "Roar yourself. Hello, cutie. Good boy. Who's a lovely Tricy then?" He grinned. "Yes, you are. Yes, you are."

The Triceratops walked over to Brian and started to sniff at his trousers. "What do I do?" He asked panicked. "What do I do?"

"You don't have any vegetable matter in your trousers, do you, Brian?" The Doctor asked.

"Only my balls."

The Stone placed a hand over her eyes and Rory squeezed his eyes shut while the Doctor blinked. "I'm sorry?"

"Golf balls." He replied taking one out. "Grassy residue."

"What are you carrying those around for?" Rory asked.

The Triceratops licked Brians face.

"Oh, bless."

"Get it away from me." Brian cried unable to move.

"Throw one." The Doctor told him.

"Really?" He asked. "Is this what you want? Is it?" He asked the dinosaur and then threw a golf ball, they watched the dinosaur run after the ball.

"You can breath now Brian." The Stone chuckled.

The Time Lord turned to the robots. "Right, take us to your leader."

"Really?"

He smirked at Rory and linked his arm with the Stones. "Too good to resist."

Amy continued to watch the Silurian on the monitor. "Of the fifty species loaded, only one has had any difficulty surviving. All the others are thriving, and we expect them to be able to repopulate."

"We're on an Ark." Amy looked at Jenny. "A Silurian Ark."

"Lizard people herding dinosaurs onto a Space Ark?" Riddell scoffed. "Absolute tommyrot."

"Only an idiot denies the evidence of their own eyes."

"Egyptian Queen or not, I shall put you across my knee and spank you." Riddell narrowed his eyes at her.

Amy sighed. "Oh lord."

"Try, and I'll snap your neck in a heartbeat," Nefertiti warned.

"They certainly bred firecrackers in your time."

Amy then cut in between them. "Oh, no, no, please don't start flirting. I will not have flirting companions. The Doctor and the Stone are enough to put up with."

Jenny made a grimace after hearing that. It wasn't one of the things she enjoyed accidentally walking in on when entering the console room. She was comfortable with her parents but witnessing them kissing like they were sucking each others faces off when they were supposedly fixing the TARDIS were two different things entirely.

Nefertiti cut in. "If the Doctor trusts Amy and Jenny, so do I. Stop doubting them." The woman warned.

"If this ship was built by-"

"Silurians," Jenny added.

"Where are they?"

Amy blinked. "That's a surprisingly good question." She turned to the monitor. "Display life signs for Homo Reptilia." A screen of the ship appeared with no tiny dots on anywhere.

Jenny lightly tapped the screen but nothing happened. "But where could they have gone?"

"Perhaps they found another world, left the ship."

"Why would they leave the dinosaurs still onboard?"

"And why is the ship coming back to Earth?" Amy added shaking her head. "It doesn't make sense. What's changed between then and now?" She blinked realising something. "Wait. Computer, show me the ship at launch with all life signals." The screen flashed and was filled of white dots covering the whole ship. "Now show me the ship today with all life signals." She pointed. "Thousands less. But why? Show me both images, then and now, side by side."

"What are you looking for?"

"It's like spot the difference." Jenny blurted making them all look at her. "Mum got me to do it with the TARDIS console a few days ago. I wanted to learn how to fly her."

"How does that help us?" Riddell questioned.

"Well, there's two images. One before, one after." Amy smiled at the blonde, "What changed? What happened to the Silurians?"

They all looked at the screen for a moment. Nefertiti then spoke up. "The centre."

"Computer, zoom in to the centre," Amy ordered. "Hold on."

"What is it?" The man asked,

"Another spacecraft." Jenny spoke up.

"This ship's been boarded before."

The Time Lords walked with the robots to what looked like an entrance where a smaller ship was located. Piano music was quietly playing from inside the ship.

"Love what you've done to the place down here." The Doctor muttered.

"Let them in." A voice ordered. "Open the gate." The gate slid open and the Doctor with the Stone stepped through before shutting on Rory and Brain who looked very worried.

"It's fine." The Time Lady reassured handing him her sonic through the gate. Just in case." She winked.

Catching up with the Doctor they stepped into a room where an older man lay on a hospital-like bed, his leg with deep bite marks.

"Fantasia in F minor for four hands." The Doctor said walking in.

"You know it."

"Know it?" He chuckled, "Say hello to hands three and four. The Stone kept tickling me to try to put me off." He shot the ginger Time Lady a look. "I think Schubert put her up to it." He hummed slightly. "Franz the hands. Oh, that takes me back. Well, this is cosy."

"It's fate you came."

The Stone raised a brow not actually believing him. "Is it? I'm the Stone, he's the Doctor."

"Yes, I know." He replied. "I'm Solomon."

They frowned when a laser did a scan of them both. "Strange."

"Very. I don't trust him, dear."

"Me neither."

"Good. We need to find Jenny and the others quickly." "What's that?"

"System malfunction." Solomon waved an arm. "Ignore it."

"Sure." Both Time Lords said to each other.

"What happened to you?" The Stone asked.

"I was attacked." He said. "Three raptors. They cornered me. The robots rescued me but it was nearly too late."

The Time Lord nodded. "Ah yes, the robots. They're... unusual."

"I got them cheap from a concession on Alyria Seven. The robots did as best they could with my legs, but you can help me so much more."

"Oh." The Doctor blinked. "A doctor doctor." He shared a look with the Stone. She was way more medical than he was but what the man needed was not difficult at all. "I see. Let's have a look." The Time Lady moved some cloth from his trousers and winced at the sight. It was as clear as day what had happened.

"They chewed through part of the bone in my legs."

"Yes." She nodded. "Very nasty."

"But you two can repair them."

"If you tell us how you came by so many dinosaurs."

"Injure the older one." He said.

"What?" A gunshot was heard and the Time Lady narrowed her eyes in anger.

"Dad!" Rory shouted. "Dad! It's all right, Dad. It's okay."
"We really don't respond well to violence, Solomon." She warned through the grit of her teeth.

"And I really don't like questions, Stone. You boarded without my permission. Now, fix me, or the next bolt will be fatal."

"I will take you apart cog by cog and melt you down when all this is over." They heard Rory threaten. The Time Lady narrowed her eyes further glad that Jenny wasn't with them. She eventually complied and continued to fix the mans leg with the Doctor, they both used multiple parts they could find in the room.

"How did you get on board, Doctor?"

"Oh, I never talk about myself with a gun pointed at me." He casually replied. "Let's talk about you. Your cosy little craft embedded in a vast old ship."

"You're very observant."

"I'm a Sagittarius." He added and noticed one of the Stones brows raise up. "Probably."

"I'm transporting it to the Roxborne Peninsula."

"A commerce colony." He nodded "You're a trader.

"I search out opportunities for profit across nine galaxies."

"Ah, the purple light." The Stone nodded. "That's what it was. An IV system, identifying value. The database of everything across space and time allocated a market value."

"Argos for the universe." The Doctor chuckled. "You were trying to find out how much we're worth."

"Would you like to know?" He asked actually making the Stone swallow in fear. If he somehow found information then who knew how much they were worth with the number of enemies they had.

The computer read 'No Identifications Found.'

"Either of you don't exist." He looked at them curiously. "It's never done that."

"That's us." He desperately tried not to smirk. "Worthless."

"Unlike these creatures you have on board." The Time Lady added. "Very valuable, given they're extinct."

"Done." The Doctor accounted finishing what he was doing. "Sit up, very slowly."
"Doctor! Stone." Rory called holding a phone out to them from the other side of the gate. "Amy."

The Doctor nodded grasping the Stones hand. He didn't trust Solomon near his wife or his daughter. "We need to take this." Taking the phone from the man he held it to his ear. "Amy."

"This is an Ark built by the Silurians." She stated. "They were looking for another planet."

"Where are they now?"

"None on board." She replied shaking her head. "I mean, thousands of stasis pods, all empty."

"Okay," he nodded trying to think, "is Jenny with you?"

The ginger on the other end of the line chuckled as if she was expecting him to ask. "Doctor she may be your daughter but she looks older than you do but yes, she's here and she's fine."

"Doesn't mean I can't worry." He grinned. "We'll see you soon." He ended the call and handed the phone back to Rory.

"Be ready." He warned in a whisper.

"The pain in my legs is gone." Solomon said slightly shocked when the Time Lords returned. "I can move them. Thank you, Doctor, Stone."

"What did you do to the Silurians?" The Time Lady asked.

"We ejected them." He replied with no regret in his voice. "The robots woke them from cryosleep a handful at a time and jettisoned them from the airlocks. We must have left a trail of dust and bone."

"Because you wanted the dinosaurs." She darkly added. How the man hadn't winced yet was beyond the Doctor. He already would have five times if his wife gave him that look and voice.

"Their ship crossed my path." He merely shrugged. "I sent out a distress signal, they let me board, and when I saw the cargo things became more complex."

"Piracy and then genocide." The Doctor hissed.

"Very emotive words, Doctor."

"Oh, I'm a very emotive man."

"The lizards wouldn't negotiate. I made them a generous offer."

"The creatures on board this ship are not objects to be sold or traded." He added.

"I feel like you're both judging me."

The Stone smiled slightly. "You said Roxborne Peninsula, yet you're heading to Earth?" She tried not to laugh at how his plan failed. "You're on the wrong course because you don't know how to change the pre-programmed course without instructions." She chuckled darkly. "The ship defaulted, returned home. Oh dear."

"The Silurians outwitted you even after you'd massacred them, so now you're a prisoner on the ship you hijacked." The Doctor cut in.

"Not now you're here." He said with a smile. "You're going to help me go wherever I want to go, Doctor."

"Little bit of news, Solomon. You're being targeted by missiles. Get off this ship while you still can."

The man scoffed. "You think I believe that? You just want them for yourself. You won't profit from me, Doctor."

"Don't ever judge me by your standards." The Doctor warned, his voice firm and dark.

The gate opened and the Stone headed out with the Doctor. "Well, don't just stand there, Rory." The Time Lord said making him order his dad up. "Hey, he wants to see you."

They ran from where the robots were keeping them. "What are we doing?" Brian asked making the Doctor grin.

"Just do exactly as I do."

"Doctor, no!" Rory shouted.

"Geronimo!" The man cried running up and leaping onto the triceratops back. The Stone laughed and watched Brain go next followed by Rory and then the Time Lady.

"Go, Tricy." The Doctor pointed forward. "Run like the wind!" There was no movement whatsoever making him blink. "Quick," he panicked, "how do you start a Triceratops?"

"Brian?" The Stone raised a brow making him put two and do together. "Tricy, fetch." He pulled the other golf ball out of his pocket and threw it away from the robots who were coming up behind them.

"Come on, Tricy," the Doctor laughed. "faster, baby!"
Brian chuckled not believing what was happening. "I'm riding a dinosaur on a spaceship."

"I know!"

He looked at Rory. "I only came round to fix your light."

"Come on, Tricy." The Doctor swallowed seeing a wall coming up. "Where are the brakes?" It skidded trying to stop, the dinosaurs slowed down and made the Doctor, Brian and Rory fall off. The Stone snorted a laugh seeing the three tumble and land on the floor. She jumped off its back and walked over to the Doctor crossing her arms and trying not to laugh.

The Doctor huffed like a young child sulking, making her chuckle before holding out her hand and helping him to his feet. "Good." He noted watching the Dinosaurs trot over to Brain and drop the golf ball. "That worked. Okay. Er, where are we now?" He looked around and spotted a monitor like the one that teleported them to the engine room. "Ooo, incoming message from Earth." He looked at the Time Lady who shrugged, "Hello, Earth, how's things?"

Indira appeared on screen. "Doctor, Stone, the ship's coming through the atmosphere. I have to start the missile programme."

"No. No, no, no," they shook their heads, "don't do that."

"Everything's completely under control here." The Doctor reassured. "Turning round any moment. Need a bit of wriggle room on the timings."

"I can't do that."

"Yes you can." The Time Lady protested. "Of course you can. Tiny bit more time is needed."

"Indira, please." The Doctor begged. "This ship contains the most precious cargo."

The woman didn't budge. "My only responsibility is the Earth's safety. I'm launching the missiles. Goodbye, Doctor, Stone,

"No, Indira." The screen cut off, "Hey! Come back! Please!"

"She's not coming back Sweetheart." The Stone sighed hanging her head.
