5- Uncles

Delilah squeals as the doorbell sounds through the house. "Daddy!" She yells as she runs into the kitchen where Luke is making breakfast. He chuckles.

"You wanna go get that babe?" She tugs on his shirt and whines when he doesn't give his attention to her immediately.

He laughs at her as she tries to jump on him and picks her up midair, making her squeal as he carries her to the door.

She crawls from his hip under his arm so she's on his back instead, hiding behind him and peeking over his shoulder.

Luke opens the door to his three best friends who are excitedly waiting, and they all coo when the see the black haired girl hiding behind the blonde.

"This is Delilah." Luke chuckles as he strives to pull her back in front of him, but she clings around his neck.

"Cmon, babygirl." Luke coaxes, all the boys chuckling and cooing. Delilah squeaks when Luke softly pinches her side, tickling her, and she finally cooperates and scoots around to Luke's hip, smiling curiously at the new men.

"Can you say uncle, baby? Say uncle." Luke chuckles as the little girl blushes.

"Daddy..." She mumbles quietly, glancing at the blonde for reassurance.

"Dont be shy." Luke laughs. "Say uncle."

"U-uck..." she giggles. "Uck."

"Oh my god she's cute. Can I see her?" Ashton asks as he holds his arms out. Luke looks to Delilah who looks at the curly headed green eyed man. Shy shy leans forward and lets the tan man take her, and he 'aww's along with the other boys.

"Say uncle." He smiles, and Delilah giggles, not really understanding the way he talks as well as the way Luke's more familiar voice was recognized by her ears.

"Say uncle, Delilah." Luke chuckles, and she glances at him.

"No." Her green eyes sparkle with mischief, knowing the blonde doesn't like it when she says no.

"What do you mean no?" Luke laughs with the other boys. "Say uncle."

"Uckle." She giggles.

"Good girl." Luke chuckles. Delilah reaches out to the next boy, Michael, who gladly takes her. Her eyes and hands immediately go to his fluffy blue hair, and Luke gasps.

"Delilah, blue!" The girl raises an eyebrow and plays with the mans hair.

"I'm trying to teach her colors, we tried blue yesterday, but I don't think she quite understood." Luke smiles as he watches her fluff up and ruffle the colorful hair.

"How's she been so far?" Calum asks, smiling at the mentioned girl as he tucks his hands in his pockets.

"Surprisingly good, actually. She whines quite a bit, but that's reasonable considering it's about the only way she can communicate. She's thrown a few fits, and unfortunately caught onto the word 'no' pretty quickly. But she's sweet and happy. She's taken it all pretty well, considering." Luke smiles proudly. "God, though, I was so scared I wouldn't be able to do it. I still am, but she's good, I think with any other sub it could've been a lot harder." The body all smile fondly, and then Luke adds.

"Accept bedtime. She's absolute hell at bedtime. She is the reincarnation of Satan once the clock hits 9:00." Luke narrows his eyes, and Delilah glances at him mischievously, as if she knows what's he's talking about.

"She didn't let me get to sleep until 2:30 last night. Her bedtime is fucking 9:00. I wanted to strangle her. But once she's asleep she's pretty cute." Luke laughs, making a funny face at the little girl when she looks at him again.

"You cuss around her?" Ashton frowns.

"Eh. Not much, but she can't understand more than about four words so far, so I'm not that worried about it just yet." Luke grins as she copies the face.

"With your luck it's be the next word she learns." Michael laughs.

"Yeah, if she hangs out with you too much, it will be." Luke rolls his eyes.

"Say blue Delilah." Luke asks the girl and she giggles, tugging on his hair.

"Boo." The boys all chuckle as she pats the boys head and repeats the word in a question. "Boo?"

"Yes. Blue." Luke chuckles as she groans, not understanding what in hell the word could mean.

Michael hands the small girl to Calum who is obviously wanting her and jealous that everyone else had gotten her and he hadn't yet.

Calum grins widely and hugs Delilah as she giggles. "You are sooooo CUTE!" Calum giggles back at the girl. "Look at this sweetie pie! She can't be that hard to put to bed, you baby." Calum rolls his eyes and Luke glares.

"Try me, mate. Maybe some other time you guys can spans the night and see just how difficult she can be. Except that'll probably be the one night she acts like an angel." Luke laughs. "Anyway, I made breakfast."

The boys turn into elephants as they run into the kitchen, Delilah laughing maniacally as Calum carries her into the kitchen and sets her at the table as all the boys make plates, and Luke makes her a plate.

Luke lets her eat by herself, even though he knows she'll make a mess of the pancakes and syrup.

After breakfast is over, Luke attempts to clean the girl's face and hands and arms, glad he tied her hair up today so he wouldn't have to deal with that.

Delilah protest and whines and cries a bit, but is back to giggling as soon as she's clean and Luke lets her go.

She begins to attempt to climb her daddy as he talks to the other boys about what they should do.

"Well, she's seeming pretty energetic. We should take her somewhere..."

"Lets g to the zoo! I haven't been to the zoo since I was like twelve!" Calum says excitedly. The boys all agree, so they play with Delilah while Luke packs her a bag, and then he takes her upstairs to change her out of the onesie she was wearing.

He puts her in a floral skater skirt dress and white thigh high socks, with some white converse, and as soon as he it's her on the ground she twirls to see the dress flare out as Luke laughs. She looks up to him with sparkly green eyes and giggles, reaching her arms up to him, and he gladly picks the giddy girl up and carries her downstairs.

"Alright, you guys ready? I'm gonna put her in the car."

"Yeah, were ready."

They all go out to the car and Luke straps his little girl into the backseat as she pouts.

"Daddy!" She says as she makes grabby hands for something.

"Hm baby?" He chuckles, getting in the front seat as he boys all get in the car.

"Daddy!" She says again, holding out her hands.

"Do you want daddys phone?" He chuckles. Delilah continues to whine and make grabby hands, and Luke hands her backpack to Ashton.

"Can you give her her coloring books and crayons?" Ashton does what Luke asked but the girl whines and throws one of the crayons.

"Delilah! No!" Luke scolds, and she pouts and shrinks back into her seat, crossing her arms angrily.

"No, daddy!" She says back, all the boys chuckling at her little pouty fit.

"She can use my phone?" Mikey says as he pulls his out and she immediately eyes it.

"Since it's a long drive, I guess that's fine." Luke sighs, not wanting her to get accustomed to getting whatever she brattily demands.

Michael unlocks the phone and hands it over ashton to Delilah and she happily finds a game and plays quietly as the boys talk.

When they get to the zoo, Delilah is quick to unbuckle herself and get out, trying to run tithe sign with all the animal pictures on it, but Luke is quicker and grabs her, ignoring her whining and struggling as he sets her little girl on his hip.

They all go pay and then get in the zoo, bringing Delilah to a sign with pictures of all the animals.

"What first, babydoll?" The girl gasps as she looks at all the pictures and points to the the lion picture.

"Daddy! Daddy!" She squeals.

"You wanna see the lion, baby?" He chuckles.

"Daddy!" She giggles. He chuckles and hands her to Calum, looking at the map of the huge zoo to find where the lions are, and they go on their way, seeing other animals on the way to the lions.

"Look Delilah! Can you say wolf? Say wolf." Calum smiles as she looks excitedly at the sleeping animals and cubs. She frowns confused at him.

"Say wolf, Delilah." Luke says, ruffling her hair.

"Wo-Woof!" She giggles, and all the boys chuckle.

"Good girl." He chuckles, and once she's done looking at the wolves, she struggles to get out of Calum she arms, and she runs off to the next animals, bears.

"Daddy! Uck!" She yells as the older men jog to keep up. She points at the huge animals behind the thick glass, one laying against the glass. She timidly walks to it and lays her hands against it as Luke smiles and takes out his phone, taking a picture, before coming up beside her.

"Woof." She giggles.

"No, that's a bear. Say bear." Luke chuckles.

"Be- bew." She smiles as Luke nods and kisses her cheek.

She takes off running again to the next animals.

After a while they get to the lions, and Delilah gasps and squeals.

"Daddy! U-Uck-"

"Uncles?" Luke asks.

"Uckles!" She points at the big cats and they all gasp excitedly.

"Is that cool princess?" Mikey laughs.

"Daddy?" She says as she points at them. Luke raises an eyebrow, wondering what she wants. Their name?

"Lion? Can you say lion?"

"Line!"

"Cute..." Ashton giggles.

"Line line line!" The raven haired little girl yells.

The group continues down the path, coming upon tigers soon.

"Ooooh..." Delilah coos. The tiger is standing at the glass, looking at people curiously.

Delilah stands giggling in front of the glass and the tiger puts it paws up on the glass, making Delilah squeak and jump back, hitting Mikey's legs. He chuckles and looks down at her as she giggles and looks up to the blue haired boy.

"Daddy?" Delilah asks as she points to the tiger.

"Tiger? That might be a hard one, babygirl. Can you say tiger?"

"Ti-t-ti. Ti." She settles on the abbreviation. "Ti ti! Say ti ti, daddy!"

"Tiger?" She stomps her foot and whines.

"Titi." She demands, apparently liking her word better.

"Ok, ok, ti ti." He chuckles. The little girl smiles, satisfied, and turns to the other three.

"Uckle say ti ti."

They all repeat the word as the little girl giggles.

Once again, she runs down the path to the next animals, but he doesn't seem to like these ones.

At first, she puts her hands on the glass, frowning when the gorilla runs over to the glass.

The older boys catch up and smile.

"You found the monkeys." Calum laughs.

Delilah bangs her small fist against the glass gently.

Luke is surprised when he hears a bang and scream, and Delilah runs past the other boys to him.

"Daddy!" She calls, tears beginning to stream down her face. He reaches down to pick her up, chuckling at the easily frightened girl.

"What happened?" Luke asks, just now catching up to where the boys are and Delilah was as she cries on her daddy's shoulder.

"She banged on the glass and didn't like it when the gorilla did it back." Ashton explains.

"Aww..." Luke chuckles. "It's ok baby." He laughs, pulling her face out of his neck and wiping her tears. He sets her down and bends down to her eye level, pecking her forehead and turning her back towards the gorilla behind the glass, keeping an arm wrapped around her waist so she feels safer.

"No!" She shouts at the gorilla. Luke chuckles.

"It's ok. She's just playing, baby. Say hi! Say hi Delilah." He smiles, waving at the gorilla as he watches delilahs timid face.

She shyly raises her hand and waves too.

"Can you say hi?"

"H-hi." She mumbles.

"See? It's nice. It's ok." Luke reassures gently as he wipes the tears off the girls red cheeks. She huffs and turns back to Luke, hugging around his neck, and he picks her up.

"She ok?" Mikey asks.

"She's fine, she just got frightened a bit. She'll be back to her giggly self by the next animal. Let's go." Luke smiles.

He carries the small girl to the meerkats and sets her down, pointing at the cute little animals, and Delilah squeals and giggles, just as Luke predicted.

After lunch, the group visited he rest of the animals, trying teach Delilah all the animals names. Her favorite was the fox.

"Fock! Fock!"

"That's kinda close, don't you think?" Michael chuckles, and Luke glares.

"Fox, Delilah." Luke tries. "Fox. X."

"Fox." She giggles. He nods, kissing her head.

"Ok, I think it's time to go home, she's getting a bit sleepy and cranky." Luke chuckles as the girl starts whining and stomping about from boy to boy, trying to get their attention.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Whines the little one.

"Hm, babygirl."

"P-p-po- daddy!"

"Say potty, baby."

"Potty!" She says, tugging on him.

"You gotta go potty, princess? I'll be right back." He says to the boys, picking Delilah up and carrying her to the bathrooms, letting her go.

Once she's out, the pair returns to the boys and they start walking to the car. Once Delilah realizes where they're going, she screams "no!" and starts struggling to get away from Luke.

"No! No no no!" She yells as Luke scolds her.

"Quiet! Behave, Delilah!" He hisses, hurrying to the car and setting her on the hood as she tries to run away.

"No!" She yells, tears streaming down her face.

"Yes. It's time to go."

"No! No go!" She cries. He sighs and picks her back up, hugging her to his chest.

"You're so tired, baby." He sighs, kissing her head. He calms her down before putting her in the back, where the boys are waiting, as she pouts and sniffles.

"I know baby. Life is so hard." Luke chuckles, fetching some things out of her bag. "Have some juice." He says as he hands her the sippy cup, setting the coloring book, crayons, and stuffy in her lap.

She aggressively sucks on the juice, glaring at her lap as she begins coloring with the hand that's not holding g her sippy cup.

Luke buckles her in and they go home.

They eat pizza for dinner, and then the boys had to go home.

As they all he's for the door, Delilah giggles and tries to follow, but Luke grabs her and she whines, confused.

"Say bye bye Delilah. Uncles are going home." He chuckles. They start putting on their shoes and she whines again.

"Uncles are going home, you're staying here, baby." Luke chuckles. "Say bye bye!" Delilah starts sobbing and all the boys coo, Ashton taking her from Luke's arms.

"Uckle no go!" She cries as she clings around his neck.

"We gotta go, princess. We'll see you soon, though!" Ashton coos, handing her to Calum to say goodbye and gives hugs, then to Mikey.

Mikey hands the crying girl back to Luke and she clings to him sobbing.

"Aww, poor babygirl." Luke coos, rubbing her back, wishing he could explain that they'll come back another time.

The boys leave as Delilah cries. Luke carries her to her nursery and changes her into some pjs as she sobs, too tired and crying too hard to realize he's trying to get her ready for bed.

It's not until he goes to lay her in her crib that she lets out a blood curdling scream, and Luke cringes and pulls her back to his chest, cradling her.

"Ok, ok baby, calm down." He sighs.

"Daddy no go!" She sobs, and luke nods.

"Daddy's not going anywhere, it's just bedtime, princess. Gotta go to sleep." Luke sighs as she sobs.

He tries to lay her down once she's calmed down bf she only screams again, and he gives up, knowing she's just overtired.

He carries her to his room and changes into some pajamas himself before goi g to sleep with his little girl in his arms, and she sleeps happily and easily as well.
