=Nova's POV=

"Aren't you up for Public speaking class?" I asked as I noticed him drift in the other direction of the assembly hall. He turned around giving me an irritated look and that added fuel to the fact that I was already regretting reminding him.

"Isn't it at 3?" He put up an irked face and that was enough to bug me off.

"Don't bother wearing that watch from tomorrow." I spat before heading towards the assembly hall. After a few minutes, Taehyung joined my walk and he was breathing a bit heavily, probably he jogged to catch up.

"Sorry." He huffed. "Didn't check the time." To which I didn't feel like giving a response. I continued my pace until I reached the destination.

I took my place in the second row and just like always Taehyung went back to the fifth row to shamelessly flirt with his fangirl. A girl who drools only over his looks.

I hate to admit but Taehyung is one of the most handsome guys I've ever met. Jungkook being another one. I'm thankful for his annoying attitude that never gave me a chance to like him, or else I couldn't guarantee myself. His dark chocolate brown orbs and that chestnut brown locks that fall over his forehead covering up to his eyes. Sometimes his hairstyle leaves me wondering if he could see through it or not. Those thin soft pink lips that pout each time he chews his food are just too cute to ignore. Not to mention but the mole at the edge of his nose adds that charm to his already flawless face. I seriously hate myself to ever think of him this way.

All I want to consider about Taehyung is that he pesters the shit out of me. That reason alone is enough to throw shade on all of his features. Personally, I feel that Jungkook is more desirable and prudent. As a bonus, he got those captivating looks.

I've never once dated someone and I can't assure myself of any of my feelings. I find it pathetic when I can't even define my feelings as infatuation or beyond that.

"Afternoon, class." Our professor's voice snapped me out of my dumb thoughts. Only then I noticed that my friend is already sitting beside me. Jackson. We met in our first public speaking class. He always turns out to be an eye-opener during debates. These are his type of discussions. He's the best at turning tables with strong arguments.

"Today I came up with an interesting topic for you all." He stepped onto the dais. "And this one would progress as a debate. I won't be dividing teams, just go with your conscience and let's see who would affirm and who turns to refute."

He clicked a button on a small remote control and the screen behind him was projected with today's topic in large bold letterings. "Can sworn enemies ever become greatest Friends or Lovers?" He read it out loud for us. "So, pour out your opinions."

The moment those words registered in my mind, unknowingly my eyes shifted towards Taehyung, and I was dazed to find his stare already fixed at me.

"If enmity stands on strong grounds, then it's not possible to switch the other way around." A girl on the other end of the class spoke out.

"Enmity is often formed when negative emotions develop in either of the two. Hence it is avoidable if we don't brew such evil in us." Jackson startled me by voicing out his opinion.

"Any kind of unresolved emotional conflict that arises can turn a friend into an enemy. This is a very fragile bond that can go sour even without realisation." For the first time, I stood against Jackson.

"Enemies can become friends. It's all the vile emotions like ego, jealousy and pride, that act as slow poisons and as they initiate growing in a person, they take to ruining his personality and there the downfall begins." Surprisingly Taehyung defended the affirmative side and Jackson looked quite impressed.

"Despite any vile emotions, two individuals can get many other reasons to fight over. Constant annoyance can also cause conflicts." I retaliated, without realising that I was shoving my point directly at Taehyung.

"Annoy?" He scoffed. "Before someone speaks, they must realise who's being the meanie all the while." I hear faint giggles across the room and I'm not surprised because even I had to slightly bite my lower lip to stop from giggling. He just addressed me as the meanie in front of the whole class like a whining little kid. I'm not offended but this guy is pathetic.

"Grow up." I deadpanned before sitting back into my seat.

"Sir, I would like to say that Enemies can actually become Friends or Lovers. Firstly they must put themselves into the other's shoes and secondly a humane interaction with a peaceful mindset is a must. This can eliminate every possible negativity and a beautiful relation can sprout. The biggest model to support this topic could be the renowned novel Pride and Prejudice." A guy named Austin from the middle column voiced out.

Perhaps I need to give it thought, I can't be unerring all the time.

"Any more defences?" Our professor paused briefly before continuing. "I'm very much impressed by the kind of understanding most of you all have. Now, upon hearing your debate and considering my personal view, I want to say that Enemies can actually flip the other way. It all depends on acceptance and understanding."

"I was really expecting someone to bring up Pride and Prejudice." He chuckled while moving towards the centre. "The conclusion was a good closure." He pointed towards Austin who sealed today's session.

"So that's all for today, class dismissed."

As we packed our stuff and were dispersing, he called for me and I turned my way towards him.

"Looks like they already left." He craned his neck to look behind me. "So, a non-profit literary organisation has decided to set up an event for creating awareness among youth in various fields." All I did was nod while listening attentively.

"So I wanted to select you, Taehyung, Jackson and Austin for this." And I did curse under my breath upon hearing that idiot's name. Guess we both are inseparable and it sucks.

"If you got any friends who can speak well, and are pursuing other majors than the four of you,  then we can include them with their permission. And this event is in 2 weeks." He gave me the reference book with the details of the event. I gave him a bow and with that, I left in search of Taehyung.

He's not the kind of guy to head home straight after the classes. He would probably be dwelling somewhere around. The first possible place that crossed my mind was the café beside the Film production block.

...

As expected, he is seated there with that same croquette from the Public speaking class, who was desperately trying to beguile him. Her looks, touch and that overly applied lip gloss can speak it all. God, she must be dying to get him.

"Taehyung." I waste no time in calling for him. His expression turned bitter and he was evidently pissed off just by hearing me call his name. But do I care? Nope.

"Now what?" He turned to me with his upper lip curled in disdain. I walked straight to their table and crashed the reference book in front of him, which startled his little chick or I can say she pretended to be gullible.

"So our professor was looking for you but your horny ass wouldn't just stop for another minute in the class." The way that woman is clinging onto Taehyung is just simply getting me worked up for some reason. "We got to give certain speeches at a Literary event which is in two weeks from now. Unfortunately, you are in for this."

"Argh are you serious?" He groaned that his lazy ass got a task to perform. I still wonder why he took up the Public speaking class when he's majoring in Medical Sciences. Anyway, it's not my thing to bother about.

"Oh really? What's my topic then?" That lady beside him decided to get excited, causing my gaze to turn towards her. Wait what's her name again?

Anyway, be polite. I told myself.

"Oh, unfortunately, Miss Lip gloss, our professor never happened to witness your speeches or debates so he wouldn't want to risk it by taking you in." A smile lifted on my lips but her's dropped. What? I was being as polite as she deserved.

"Oh so now you're being cocky about your infamous little phrases that you throw once in a class time?" She quirked her brow and her words were laced with arrogance. Finally, her colours are showing up. I could see from the corner of my eye that Taehyung's body tensed beside us as he sensed the tension in the atmosphere.

"At least I don't sit stuck-up like yo—" before I could finish Taehyung stood up, pushing his chair back with a screeching noise and lunged towards my side to lift me to my feet with a strong grip on my arm.

"Jade asked us to meet her at the park down the street. It's getting late and we need to rush." He said on my face before turning towards that woman. "Drive safe Ashley and text me as soon as you reach home." With that being said he picked up the reference book and pulled me out of the café along with him.

"Let me go." I wriggled in his grip once we were at a decent distance away from the café. "Why? You couldn't stand me being savage with your girlfriend?" I scorned.

"It's not like that." I observed that his voice has turned softer.

"Liar."  I scoffed at his denial.

"No. I'm not lying." He shook his head in exclamation.

"Ugh just stop, Okay." I waved my hand in an attempt to dismiss him.

"For fuck sake, it's not because how you have spoken to her. You just didn't know where you were getting at. She can turn your Uni life into hell if that argument went on." He growled in frustration. "And at second, she's not my girlfriend. If only she was, then I wouldn't be here with you. So stop being judgemental." He swept his hair back as he turned around and stomped towards the parking lot.
