''Busy?''. I looked up from my studies to interlock eye contact with the lovable sarcastic teenager who never fails the style of his plaid flannels.
Stiles.
''Would it be bad if I said yes?''. I didn't want him to feel bad but for my own sake, I really needed to finish off the assignments given for the day.
''I don't take no for an answer''. I released a small snort at the fact an actual no wasn't fully implied. He set his tray of food on the table while taking a seat.
''Is there a reason why your doing Yukimira's homework during lunch? You have the rest of the afternoon to do that'' Stiles interrogated.
I took a deep breath and dropped my pencil into my text book dramatically to help impact my frustration after officially re-reading the same question for the third time.
I sighed. ''Actually I don't''.
His eyebrows twisted together, practically asking to elaborate without even saying.
''Yesterday I got a job at Balise Café and I start at 5''. Although I find it incredulously impossible for his eyebrows to reflect more confusion then it already did.
''Why did you get a job?'' Stiles asked.
I shrugged. ''Money's pretty tight''.
''Whose gonna take care of Ariella?'' He asked yet another question. Lydia had warned me how Stiles can be quite a headache. Prime example.
''It really just depends on my work schedule'' I replied. Just the thought of how the rest of the day is gonna work out was overwhelming. I mean I still have the role of a teenage mother that has to be a secret from everyone around.
''Well if you ever need help with her, you know you can call me right?'' He reassured.
I smiled a short one and nodded, grateful to know I have people who can help me out.
''By the way the answers B''.

As I opened the door, the tinkling bell above rings, almost drowning in with all the conversations going on.
''A minute early, must have really wanted this job'' a voice abrupt, curious as to whose it belongs to since it definitely wasn't Mrs. Carters.
''Names Alice'' I turned to see a girl who was possibly around my age, maybe even older. She wore a black v-neck t-shirt with a pair of ripped denim jeans under the brown company brand apron. Her black naturally curled hair fell perfectly into place with her pale complexion and green eye's.
She was at a table not far away, wiping it with a vague white rag.
''Juliet'' I introduced as I walked up to her.
''Oh sweetheart I know your name. My grandmother couldn't stop talking about you after the interview'' She snorted as she wiped off one last speck of dirt from the wooden table.
''Wait? Mrs. Carters is you're grandmother?'' I questioned, obstruct as to never knowing this. I did spend partial of my life here, how the hell could I have not known?
''Hey hey hey, let's keep that information on the down low'' She fanned her hand down while lowering her voice along with it.
I laughed at her stupidity as she did the same.
''Come on, we have some coffee to make, that isn't for us'' Alice said sadly at the end. I suppressed my smile while shaking my head.

I opened the door to reveal Ariella running down the hall laughing with only pajama pants on while Lydia and Kira came running a second after, the little shirt in Lydia's hand.
''Try Trapping Her In Her-'' Stiles voice rang, walking towards the hall but stopped in his tracks the second he saw me.
''Oh hey... You're home'' He stated awkwardly, averting his gaze everywhere, clueless as to what to do now.
''And so is the Scooby-Doo gang'' I snapped with a step forward, slamming the door behind.
''Juliet We Can Explain!'' Scott yelled as he came running from the down the hallway, to reveal himself drenched in water.
''Lydia sort of-''.
''Shut up Scott'' I raised my hand to match before storming down the hallway into Ariella's room.
''What Is Going On!'' I yelled to see Kira giving a forceful hug to Ariella with a firm grip as Lydia tried to put the pajama shirt over my squirming munchkin.
''I'm Not Going To Bed!'' Ariella screeched, loud enough that'll surely get complaints from the neighbors.
''I need Julie'' Her voice lowered, tuning her attention onto me.
I took a deep breath while flattening my lips in pity.
Working has definitely affected my life, more than I imagined.
''But Lydia was here'' I said, walking over as Kira and Lydia watched.
''It's not the same'' Ariella's voice got muffled while she pulled the shirt over her head.
''I got it from here'' I said to the two. They were hesitant but they agreed and left afterward, the slam of the front door being audible.
''Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday is when I'm gone and when I won't be able to be here to tuck you in at night. That's why I asked Lydia to do that'' I explained as simply as possible for her to comprehend.
''I don't want Lydia. I want Stiles''.
I was taken aback. ''Stiles? Why Stiles?''.
''He's really nice when I talk to him. And he made me smile. I don't know, I don't have a lot of why's'' She stated, unable to search for the reasons at the moment.
I smirked and looked away with a little chuckle escaping my lips.
'She wants to be with her dad', I thought.
I practically broke my neck the moment Ariella yawned.
''All that running around, I bet you are tired'' I snapped, reminiscing the anger I felt not long ago.
''Sorry'' She apologized with tiresome drowning in it as she laid down. I smiled a soft one before bringing the blankets up to her chest.
''Goodnight muppet'' I whispered as I pecked her forehead. I got up from her bed, making my way to her door.
''Wait''.
I turned around to see her sitting up.
''Can you sleep with me tonight?'' She whispered. The smile returned and I nodded. I slipped off my converse by her door -along with my bag-, going back over to her bad as I dived in the sheets with her.
My eyelids became heavy and before I went completely out, Ariella yawned out a small. ''Goodnight mommy''.
