While Lucas drives back home from a long day of work, he knew that this time he should pick up Alex from school it's around four and Kaya hasn't called him yet. Weird but that means very little on his plate until he saw the devil herself calling.

He picked it up and answered, "Hello."

And she spilled out the words, "I'm leaving... for a work trip, they need me and my boss assigned me to that deal."

Lucas knew he had the whole house for himself now but still, could he bear to live without her? While listening to the words entering the car speakers he was silent, "Hello... Lucas?"

"Yeah... it's fine." He added, "I'll take care of Alex and you'll... go help those in need."

"Thank you." Kaya ends the call. While Lucas stops at the school he picked up Alex and drove from the school back home. As Alex exited the car Lucas walked behind him and let him into the house.

After Alex entered the house Lucas grabbed Alex's hand and tells him, "Alex please listen to me. Your mother is off to work and she will be gone for a few days ok. I can try and convince grandmother to let you stay at her for the time being because daddy needs to leave tomorrow for a work trip."

Alex frowned and looked upset but before he could face down Lucas added, " I can drop you tomorrow morning if you like?"

Alex sighs and said, "Ok."

"Ok, go and pack your bag... if you need any help just call and I will treat you tonight with some pizza." Lucas bought his son over.

While Alex walked up stairs to pack his bags for the next few nights at grandma, Lucas took his phone of of his pocket and calls the nearest pizza place, after he placed his order he looked at his messages. There was something wrong... an unkown number has texted him. He opened the chat and saw the message, "hey is sophia."

Knowing that name he saved her number and texted back starting to have a full conversation with her. After a few minutes the doorbell rang and at the same time Lucas received a notification on his phone, stating that Kaya has stopped at the Athena Glass Hotel. He dismissed the notification and went to the front door, opened it and payed for the pizza.

While he took the pizza and placed it on the counter he called Alex, "Pizza is here!" After he called his son, Alex came down running and stuggle struggle onto the barstool. He took a slice and took a massive bite almost having no space for a second.

While Lucas watches as his son was eating he took his phone with him and went upstairs, while he texted and made his way to the bathroom. He placed his phone on the sink and opened the tap to the bath. With the warm and cold water splashing together filling up the tub.

Waiting for the bath to fill up Lucas stood up back and took his phone texting, after a few minutes he placed his phone back on the sink and closed the water, "Alex come for a bath." He called hearing the footsteps of his son running towards the bathroom and then his phone going off due to a notification he took his phone and looked at the notification which states, "Thank you for your purchase, your package will arrive shortly."

Seems Kaya bought something for her, strange but maybe she needed things, she'd forgot. While Lucas put Alex in the bath and let him play a little and washed himself Lucas couldn't stop texting Sophia, their conversation had grown so large it wasn't even true.

As the minutes passed and Alex was put to bed, Lucas went downstairs. There was a knock on the door and Lucas opened it. There she stood, Sophia... the perfect person he has seen in a very long time, long hair, a beautiful smile.

The soft smile in the corner of her mouth formed and she said, "Hey handsome... are you ready for a good night?"
